This is such a girls girl type of romance book for any who love a modern romantic comedy type novel. Thanks to a turn of events, exes Eve and Foster find themselves back in each other's lives. Will they rekindle? Or will they decide the past is better left in the past? Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a copy of this book for an honest review.

A second chance romance that will make you both swoon and also want to hit them upside the head to tell them to just talk to each other. I liked the story and the way that they developed the characters over time. It was a quick read and a nice story, good ending.

I really enjoyed this book. A light easy read but sometimes that is what you need !
Eve and Foster had been married but are now divorced . They end up back in each others lives, due to an accident which brings Foster into the hospital where Eve works and she is still his next of kin
A second chance ? Read it and see

Eve and Foster had a whirlwind romance, that turned sour soon. It's been five years, and they haven't seen each other since she left.

Foster does stunts on a bike and his last performance didn't go as planned, with him in critical condition. Eve is now a nurse at the same hospital, he is brought to. With her still his emergency contact, she can't just leave him be and stays by his side, conveniently leaving out the "divorced part" when everyone asks her how they know each other. :)

It's the sweetest second chance romance. As Foster recovers you can see them falling back in love. The story is intertwined with past snippets that explain how they got to where they are now.

I loved the first half, but towards the end, I kind of lost interest, I felt it went in circles too much. It's a lovely story, but maybe not the best fit for me.

This is very much a cute and easy romance read. I have read Aimee Brown before and I do enjoy the pace and character chemistry she writes. The idea that these two main characters are divorced but he hasn’t taken her off as his ICE is a great unique way to start the plot of this romance.
This follows the well known miscommunication error of romance storytelling and so once we can get through that part of the story we know there will be a HEA at the end!

I received this book as an ARC and provide an honest review

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a digital ARC of Still The One.

2.5 stars if I could, but rounded down. The writing was fine, and I liked the characters enough. I just felt something was lacking and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think maybe because it was more on the side of "insta love" or "insta connection" instead of seeing the characters start to feel things for one another again. This one was tough to rate, honestly. I wanted a little more depth I think. Probably won't read another of hers, but I know she'll have a fanbase.

Second Chance romance. This story follows Eve as a ER trauma nurse and her ex husband Foster who is a FMX motorcycle professional. She thought she was done with him, until he shows up in her trauma room at the brink of death. Old feelings rush in and she spends everyday with him in the ICU until he is well enough to leave, but not well enough to fly home, he stays with her, where feelings are growing. I enjoyed reading their second chance at love.

Not great, not wonderful, but a cute little break from more serious books. I did like the basis plot. It wasn’t what I was expecting and it wasn’t like other romances I’ve read recently. I just felt like it was too unrealistic of a situation to really hook me. For Foster to be in the same city and end up at the Eve’s hospital? Then for her to go to so much effort, sitting at the hospital with him even letting him move in with her while he healed? It was just a little too unrealistic of a set up, and I couldn’t let it go. I do enjoy the author’s writing, though, and will look at other books by her in the future to see if I can like her better.

Although this book is completely clean with no added spice, I absolutely adored it, even though I typically enjoy a bit more steam. That didn’t matter here, though, because I was still left swooning and completely captivated by the fictional characters. I especially loved how the author included perspectives from when the characters first met, giving us a peek into their early relationship and showing why their love story ultimately faltered. This was my first book by Aimee Brown, and while reading, I honestly felt like my heart was being torn apart—if you read it, you'll understand why. I also love when authors make their characters imperfect. It makes them feel more real and relatable, and this book nailed that. I can't recommend it enough! If you enjoy second chances, forced proximity, slow burns, and deeply flawed characters, Still The One by Aimee Brown is a must-read.

This book definitely took me a little bit longer to get into. It didn't grip my attention right off the bat but over time i did get invested in seeing what happens with our MCs. Definitely a slower burn romance and a second chance book so for people who like these tropes these books will be for you. My main gripes with this book would be that i feel like we don't get to know the characters and their history that well and usually with second chance romances the history is important so we can root for the couple to reconnect. I did enjoy the dual POV of the book it was nice to connect with both characters. The ending was well done and wrapped up the story in a neat bow.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

"Still the One" by Aimee Brown is a delightful romantic comedy filled with heartwarming characters and a cleverly woven plot. Brown does a fantastic job bringing her protagonists to life, making their chemistry and emotional struggles feel genuine and relatable. The story balances humor and heartfelt moments perfectly, with just the right amount of twists to keep you hooked. While some parts are a bit predictable, the charm of the characters more than makes up for it. A feel-good read that leaves you smiling—highly recommended for romance lovers!

In this fun and tropey modern romance novel, readers join Eve Cassidy five years after a major breakup with the man she thought she would marry when Guy Foster, her ex-fiancé, has had a serious accident and has kept her as his next of kin. Unwilling to leave him alone in the hospital and in the early stages of recovery, Eve decides to help out, and Foster is in for a shock when he sees her at his hospital bed offering to share her one-bedroom apartment with him. Definitely with unfinished business and a fraught history to deal with over weeks in close quarters, Eve and Foster have a second chance at a happy ending in this steamy second-chance romance novel. The characters, their complicated history, and the drama will draw readers into this new title, and the alternating perspectives give readers a chance to see both sides of this narrative develop over the course of the novel. With so much happening and tropes galore throughout the novel, readers will love the character dynamics and the shared history that Brown did an excellent job developing for this novel. Well-written, steamy, and romantic, readers will love Brown’s latest novel and the characters’ relationship.

A very enjoyable read with great character development, despite a predictable storyline. Was a slower read as it didn’t have me completely hooked but I would still recommend to anyone looking for an easy romance read.

Ah I love a romance with a happy ending, but also a book that didn’t need spice to make the spark electric. I think I even fell in love with foster a little bit after the book. I hope the story continues as I want to know if they have kids themselves and go the distance. Well written, superb story and pace was just right.

This was a beautifully written second chance romance that captured my attention from the start.
I really liked the characters of Eve & Foster and I was really rooting for them throughout. The storyline of the book provided a forced proximity that definitely opened the characters up to each other. I really liked them individually and Foster was just so perfect 😍. Eve was such a strong character and this was portrayed through her actions and I was so emotional on her behalf at times.
I liked how the book was written in different points of view, which gave us better insight into the characters, as well as their thoughts and feelings. I also really liked the flashbacks to the past, which gave background to their relationship and a better understanding for the reader.
This was the perfect romance to curl up with, offering swoon worthy characters and a second chance romance that has you cheering at the sidelines.

This is just the perfect cosy and cute read.
I loved the originality of this one - it's not usual to have a romance novel explore the concept of lost love and the hopefulness of rekindling a relationship that didn't work the first time round.
Aimee Brown is an expert in description - I felt like a giggling fly on the wall watching the scenes play out in my mind which allowed me to finish the book in 24 hours (it would have been much sooner if I didn't have other responsibilities, I promise you that).
Loved it, nothing more to say apart from that I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while. <3

Still the One is a second chance, closed door romance by Aimee Brown. When Guy Foster ends up in his ex's ER, he has the chance to reconnect with the one who got away. This is a solid romance for lovers of the genre.

Many thanks for the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me.

This is my first read by Casey Dembowski & it won’t be my last! It was love at first read for me with The First Love Myth. I embraced the perspectives of the three sisters in the chapters. This page turner with sisters dealing with emotional love stories as they navigate their complicated family relationships is a great book to start off 2025 reading!

Thank you, Casey Dembowski, Red Adept Publishing, Kate Rock, & Netgalley for my gifted copy! All opinions are my own.
