I think the general premise of this book is a very beautiful one but I struggled to get through it. Perhaps I was not in the right headspace to read it and it’s not the authors fault. It’s just not a match, and that’s okay.

This was a great story of life, loss, and learning about yourself. This starts at the beginning of the AIDs epidemic and the church. It gives you great insight into the beginning of the AIDs epidemic and also gives you a front row seat to how it changes over time and is not overly religious. As an oncology nurse, this hits different for me and speaks to me in a different but honest way. That might be the best part, the honesty!
