Another fun, witty and quirky book from Molly Harper but in future, I think I'll be sticking with her paranormal romances as they are much more my cup of tea and provide a bit more action.
I reviewed this for a publication the review does not belong to me
I'm ashamed to say I've had this book on my kindle for a while but it was well worth the wait as I loved it! Molly Harper is a new author to me and I loved her crazy wit and humour in this storyline. Snow Falling on Bluegrass is book 3 in the series but as I hadn't read the previous two books I treated this as a standalone story. I soon got wrapped up in the storyline and the array of characters. What I loved was the setting and premise of the story, a big company going away for a team building exercise and getting stranded at the country retreat due to heavy snowfall. It seemed quite idyllic at first no distractions from electronic devices and the colleagues were left to fend for themselves along with one helpful and ruggedly handsome Park Ranger. Tempers were initially frayed but given time they learned to make do and come up with new ideas to bring the company forward and also to survive during this snowstorm.
The main character Kelsey was fun and quirky but she was also feeling quite vulnerable with her relationship of three years come to an end. However, the time away has given her time to reflect on this relationship and also why it actually lasted that long as it wasn't all it appeared to be and was very one sided. Feeling almost used and abused Kelsey had had enough. Kelsey was also confused about her friendship with Charlie from the company, they've been good friends since he started with them but Kelsey has held a secret crush on him. Will this time away in close proximity to each other make or break their relationship?
A fabulous fun read that I loved and will now investigate more from Molly Harper.

Kentucky Tourism Commission employee and executive assistant extraordinaire Kelsey is known around the office for having everything under control. So it’s not surprising that she and her boss, Sadie, have everything planned to the second for the office winter retreat. But there are things even Kelsey can’t micromanage.
An unprecedented snowstorm smothers half of Kentucky and knocks out the power, closes the roads, and generally shuts down the state. Luckily, the lodge has working fireplaces and enough food to keep the staff from turning on each other like something out of The Shining. Kelsey wouldn’t mind being stuck inside if it wasn’t for the tension with her not-so-secret crush, Charlie, the office’s statistician. But handsome Ranger Luke, the lodge’s only employee on hand, is there to take Kelsey’s mind off her discomfort.
Even though this weekend is supposed to be a planning session for KTC, Kelsey can’t help her mind from wandering and finds herself conflicted over Luke and Charlie. Someone’s love will keep her warm, but whose will it be?
This was a fun, sweet read without being exceptional...
What I really did like about this story was the set-up of the KTC (Kentucky Tourism Commission) - for me, that sounds like a great place to work! A great cast of characters really filled this story with warmth, humor and romance...
The one thing I really didn't like about it was the love triangle. Kelsey loves Charlie but dates Darryl...and I guess that is just a bit weird for me. I found it just a bit silly and I think really detracts from what could have been a very entertaining book. Also, 150 pages? Seems weird to me...
