Alyson Noel was a new-to-me author with this YA/NA time travel fantasy with romantic elements series. I’m not a time travel fan for the most part, but the first book came highly recommended, so I wanted to see what the hype was all about. Oh, and fantasy is not my top favorite, either, but it is my 13-year-old daughter’s, so I also wanted to see whether or not this was a story she would enjoy as well. And now you know my motivations for jumping into this new-to-me author’s world. Books one and two are not optional as the story continues through to this conclusion. And as it is, it’s a satisfying wrap-up. All things considered, the writing was excellent, the plot was intriguing, and the characters were written so that, despite some ambiguous feelings about some of them, I enjoyed their roles as the plot unfolded.

This took me forever to finish and I think it's because it seemed like the author didn't even know which way she wanted this story to go. I'm bummed because I absolutely LOVED the first one and though the second one took a dip, I still found it entertaining and easy to follow. However, this just seemed kind of all over the place. Looking back, the first book was written with a clear direction and I guess she just wasn't sure how she wanted to wrap it all up. There were a lot of variables thrown in that never got some sort of resolution and even the ending was left open-ended, I guess in case she one day has an epiphany about how she wants to end it.
Sigh. Let down. I'll give it 3 stars since I like the world and I've come so far in it, but this was disappointing.
This was probably the weakest book in the series but I still enjoyed it and liked how Alyson Noel closed off the series.
I had a litle trouble getting back into the story since there was a longer break since I read books 1 and 2.
I found some of the choices Noel made in this installement to be weird and inconsistent but not so bad that I couldn't overlook it.
What I did find confusing was the protagonist because she felt like a completly different character, as if there had been big developments outside of the story. Which there were not since the story seamlessly continues where book 2 left off.
All in all I feel indifferent about this final book. I recommend reading it for closure and some of the infos we get revealed but maybe it would have been better as a longer series. The last parts of the book felt rushed and choppy almost.
The conclusion!
Natasha travels back in time to see her Dad to find out more about Gray Wolf Academy.....and it all goes off!
I won't say anything about the plot but I will say that the first half was quite slow but it does pick up in the second......
But Natasha and Braxton - love them! 'Braxton is my miracle, and I am his.' I'm such a sucker for love!
Was it a perfect conclusion - maybe not, the ending definitely wasn't what I expected but there were parts I really enjoyed.
As I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two books of Alyson Noël's Stealing Infinity series, I was eager to get started on CHASING ETERNITY. I had no idea where the story was going or how it was going to end. And when you are talking about time travel, anything is possible.
Except, I didn't love CHASING ETERNITY. I enjoyed it immensely...right up until the end. The conclusion Ms. Noël uses is lackluster at best and frustrating at its worst. The whole thing feels as if Ms. Noël couldn't come up with a way to satisfactorily conclude her story and so chose the path of least resistance. It's disappointing.
To make matters worse, there were several times throughout this book when I struggled to ignore the elephant in the room, so to speak. Yes, it seems weird to find certain situations ridiculous when the entire series is all about a group of teenagers who travel through time to steal priceless art and jewelry, but still. There is only so much disbelief I can suspend, and I started feeling uncomfortable around the first chapter when the main character meets a historical figure and said historical figure acts like everything is perfectly normal. When the main character learns the same magic as said historical figure but in a few hours rather than years, I was done.
All this to say CHASING ETERNITY is a disappointment. The Stealing Infinity series to this point was so much fun, crazy but in a good way. I always got the feeling that even Ms. Noël knew how insane her story was and that knowledge made it all okay to like, as if she also embraced the madness without taking any of it too seriously. Until she decided to change that and makes CHASING ETERNITY entirely too serious without eliminating any of the madness. With an ending that feels like a copout more than a well-developed resolution, it makes me change my opinion about the entire series.
Lived for this conclusion of the series. It was a great ready with so many answers but still left you breathless. Loved it from start to finish!
I had a hard time getting into the story, since it was quite a while since I read the previous parts. Once I was into the story, it was full of twists. I really enjoyed that part, but sometimes had a rough time understanding the storyline.
I might read the whole trilogy later, to see if I will like this book more. For now it is a average review of 3 stars
This is book 3 in the Stealing Infinity Series. Time can be used as a weapon, a tool, or just about anything else you can think of. Rules are about to be broken. Secrets are about to unravel and some answers are about to be found.

Time Travel with Touch of Supernatural World
PROS:
- Character Growth
- Romance
- Killian’s Storyline
- Love Real History and Artifact Inclusion
- Really Educates on Art History
CONS:
- 2 year wait between books (UGH) was a bit lost
- Arthur Motivation/Reveal was a bit boring
- Pacing was OFF
Overall this book was MEH the too long training montage followed by info dumping then a break neck speed race to the finish. I’m glad i finished this series but between long waits release dates and SO much art history info dumping (fun to see in a YA story but could have been edited down a tad) I was ready for the series to end. 1st Book is still magical and I would recommened this for an avid Rory Gilmore type YA reader.
Rating: 4.5/5
I received an eARC for my honest opinion.
This is the end of the trilogy, and what a great ending it was. In this book you will go with Natasha back in time to ask her father for some help and what it means to be a Timekeeper. However, with the news that she receives now she has even more obstacles to tackle and only with the help of the other students at the school. Will they be able to complete their mission and set the world right or will they end up helping the bad guy get what he has always wanted?
I thought the author did a wonderful job wrapping up this book, they answered the questions that the first two books brought up, we had more action in this book, and I loved that the time travel was explained more when it came to the Timekeepers. I thought overall that this author did a great job with the time travel books and really made it interesting with the use of magic in a different way. The plot was fast-paced, and it was interesting throughout the book that you will find yourself reading it in 1 or 2 days. I thought the characters developed great throughout the trilogy, but you will really see their development in this book.
I enjoyed getting to see Natasha’s character develop throughout the books but in this book, you will really see her shine. I liked that you gotta see her get her backbone in this book and really start to see who she can and who she cannot trust at Gray Wolf. I liked that she took more chances in this book even knowing what some of those chances could lead to, but she knew that she had to stop Arthur no matter what. She also grew up to understand that some things in history cannot change no matter how hard you try or how bad you want it. I found the romance triangle in trilogy to have been done great, I liked that in this book you will see Natasha go all in with Braxton and that she doesn’t look back after that. You will see their relationship bloom after that, and you will see a strong relationship come out of those two. With Braxton, I felt finally after he opened up about everything, no secrets hidden away he was a great guy. I did still have my doubts though right up to the end of the book because of the way the author wrote these books with the twist and turns the characters took, I was still on the fence about him, but he won my heart over. I liked the fact that we got to see Braxton’s POV in this book as well, it was not a continuous part of the book, but a few parts and I enjoyed learning more about his characters and what he was always thinking about.
I did like that the author ended the book with it being open-ended, because that might see more books with the time traveling setting back in the future and if so I can not wait to read those books.
If you enjoy time travel, a magical system that is great, a love triangle, action, great plot and fun characters you need to read these books.
I want to thank NetGalley and Entangled for the opportunity to review this book.
Chasing Eternity picks up immediately where Ruling Destiny ends so this is not a stand-alone read. The Stealing Infinity series needs to be read in order. Chasing Eternity finds Nat and Elodie traveling back in time to the 90’s, with the hope of tracking down Nat’s father and getting him to teach her everything she needs to know.
Alyson Noel’s Stealing Infinity series has quickly become one of my unlikely favorite series. I’m not generally a fan of time travel books, but Alyson won me over with her plot and characters. There’s a little numerology thrown in to make things even more interesting.
All the previous characters that fans have come to love or hate return, making Chasing Eternity even more interesting. Without spoiling the previous books, Chasing Eternity answers many lingering questions and ties up loose ends. There are twists and edge-of-your-seat moments. The ending seemed fitting and left me satisfied. This is definitely a series that I will re-read (because I know I’ve missed clues) and think about often.

I can’t believe this is the conclusion to the series! Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets revisited in the future. There is an ending but it feels like a door is left open “just in case”.
I enjoyed Natasha’s story in this one- I feel like she got some very important closure. There was also a huge surprise I did NOT see coming.
I enjoyed all three books in this series but I think book 1 is still my favorite but book 3 is firmly the next favorite.
This book picks up right after the second book
Natasha must figure out a way to stop Arthur.
I have a hate relationship with ends of series. Sometimes they just don't get it right and I feel like this one is kind of that way.
Follow your destiny!
Natasha and Elodie travel back to 1998 to meet Natasha’s dad before she was born. Natasha is able to convince her father that she’s really his daughter from the future. He shows her the generations’ old Timekeeper rooms that take up a floor in the building where he resides as a struggling college student to hide who he truly is. He also trains her as much as he can in the short time they’re together so she can handle her Timekeeper abilities and use them to stay safe and continue the mission of her ancestors. Natasha realizes why Arthur is determined to remake the world- he lost the love of his life. Arthur will do everything it takes, including murder, to get what he wants and Natasha will do whatever it takes to stop him.
Likes/dislikes: I enjoyed the quotes from historical intellectuals. The character development is well done. I enjoyed learning about real artists and their work throughout history. The story kept my attention and it is action packed.
Mature content: R for on page sex.
Language: R for 56 swears and 18 f-words.
Violence: PG-13 for bloody hitting and bloody death.
Ethnicity: Mason, Natasha's best friend, is Black. Natasha is white.
Such an amazing book. I love this series, it’s so unique and mesmerizing. The characters were interesting and I wanted to get to know each one of their secrets and back stories, even the “villains” of the book.
The time travel aspect was done so well and it was so fun to read, it kept me entertained and wanting more. I loved the real art references, even though I didn’t understand most of it.
Some of this book was confusing where things didn’t really make sense to the story or just felt rushed and throw in. I feel like Arthur’s “villain story” was rushed and not put together that well and Natasha now having access to all these random facts about things threw me off. If this was the last book, I didn’t like the end as it was a little too open ended and messy for me.
Overall through, an enjoyable series that I would read again which is why it’s 5 stars for me.
4.5 stars
I never thought I'd want to read a time travel series, much less love one, but here we are! The Stealing Infinity series has been one twisty, crazy ride, I've loved every minute.
Chasing Eternity ties up the series in a way that is satisfying but with a little twist at the end.
Natasha heads back in time to meet her father and get some answers surrounding Timekeepers, while also plotting in the present day to ruin Arthur's plans and simultaneously gain people's freedom from Grey Wolf.
We have romance, a little action, magic, artefacts (specifically art related) and time travel - all combining to make a great series, but also a great final installment. I've enjoyed following Natasha's journey!
This is a pretty middle of the road fantasy series for me. Book 1 was the strongest but the more the story devloped, the less I cared about the characters.
The book starts off right where we left off. I loved how Natasha embraced her timekeeper self and how much growth her character developed since book one. The way it ended I hope there will be more in the series.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
I loved this conclusion. It was everything that I wanted and so much more. I read this in one sitting and I couldn’t get enough.
Overall I loved this conclusion to this amazing trilogy very much. I highly recommend reading it.
Alyson Noël’s Stealing Infinity trilogy — Stealing Infinity, Ruling Destiny and Chasing Eternity — is an intricate, engrossing series for older young adults and new adults that definitely needs to be read in order.
The story features time travel, tarot cards, numerology, art, history, mystery, intrigue, romance and adventure. The central theme, though, is a young woman who learns that the past and future are interconnected.
There’s a lot going on here, but all the elements work well together. It’s organized chaos and the books are better for it.
It’s in Chasing Eternity that Natasha really comes into her own. She strong and decided. She has a path forward accepts her role, acting as the strong protagonist that she is.
Noël’s writing remains smooth and confident. And the series end fits perfectly within the world she’s created.
