I was reading this thinking, what really changes when a baby turns one? And then by the end I had tears in my eyes over how sweet it was. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous and the story is so sweet -- this is a perfect nighttime book. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

The artwork in this book was GORGEOUS! I was a huge fan of the art style. I also loved the storytelling and the reflection in the first year of the little one, while still looking forward to the coming years. This was such a cute read.

This was such an adorable little book about the sadness and gladness of your child growing up. The mother was sad that her baby wouldn't be little, but excited about who her child would grow up to be. I loved this book a lot.

On the Night Before You Turn One by author Kristie Graves and illustrator Gregorio De Lauretis is a touching book that will bring tears to the eyes of mothers of babies about to turn one, as well as mothers transported back in time to when their own children passed this milestone and grandmothers about to witness it once again.
The story of what mother and child will do on that night before is heart warming, relatable, and sweet. The illustrations of the two of them together, cuddling, playing, reading, and laughing, beautifully support the story line with eye catching pictures and soft colours. The rhymes make the book lyrical and easy to read. All of these elements together present both a heart-warming and bitter-sweet book, as time waits for no mom.
The final illustration of the expectant mom sitting cross-legged subtly points out that one need not wait for the night before your child turns one to read this book to your child and enjoy it yourself.

On The Might Before You Turn One is a beautiful picture book! It tells of a mother’s thoughts and emotions on the night before her baby turns one. Remembering memories and looking to the future. I think this is a great book to read to your baby. The illustrations were great as well as the fun rhymes.

A heart-warming reflection on how quickly your children grow up, the illustrations create a cosy atmosphere as the parent in the story comes to terms with it. The story leaves you full of hope as it describes moving on to all the new firsts still to come. Have your tissues ready parents!

This is a cute and heartwarming book for moms about their baby growing up. It captures the bittersweet nature of that first big birthday milestone perfectly. It is a bit long for toddler attention spans though, so it would mostly be for parents. I appreciated the white background with black text; much easier to read in dim lighting to sleepy kids. And the illustrations were adorable and sweet.

This book feels like the most comforting, warm hug. It captures the bittersweet feeling of your child growing up and you looking forward to each new thing that they learn whilst simultaneously missing their tiniest of selves. The illustrations are marvelously soft and welcoming. Truly, a book for the smile of a child and the soul of the parent.

On the Night Before You Turn One is a sweet book that takes me back to those days of my daughter being a toddler. We say they grow up too fast, and this book illustrates that in such a touching way. She also writes what the mother looks forward to as her baby grows up.
There are some children's books I put aside to keep forever, and this would be one of them, for the way it transported me.
This would be good for toddlers, I'd say up to about 3. And for moms of any age.

This is such a sweet book! It captures those moments you cherish when your baby is still little. This caught my eye because my daughter will be two in 2 weeks, and this book captures how I feel and all the moments leading up to the big day that she turns One!

Such a sweet book! It perfectly captures the bittersweet feeling of watching your tiny baby grow up faster than you ever imagined, but also looking forward to all that is to come. I love the rhyming throughout the book as it gives the book a lovely flow when read aloud. Sweet and simple pictures are a great component to the sweet message!
