This is a beautiful book. It is very well-researched and the protagonist draws you right in. I was so excited when the hardcover came out and I was able to share this book.

Goble's text and elegant illustrations create a book that shows how important horses were to the Native Americans. First published in the 1970's, its reintroduction helped bring another generation of fans to his books.
