Another wonderful entry in the Murphy’s Law series, it had that concept that I was looking for and enjoyed from the previous books in this series. Grace Turner is able to create wonderful characters and they worked overall in this story that I was looking for. I hope there is more in this series and from Grace Turner.
Thank you very much to the author and Netgalley for sending an ARC of Unbroken my way. I have not read the other books in the Murphys Law series as I read this could be treated as a standalone. The book made sense and I wasn't confused about what was going on but as I understand it the other books add depth to all the characters so I will absolutely be going back and checking the other books out.
This books opens with a very dark situation that has the FMC Blakely Warrier-West in a bad situation. But the book is not completely about this situation. It's about how resilient Blakely is and how we can heal even from the darkest of days. This book had me on the edge of my seat anxious, then crying, then feeling like my heart might explode from happiness. Plus there's a very good dog named Tato.
I don't typically enjoy suspense novels or anything this dark but the author absolutely sold me on this series.
This was such a strong book with romance, suspense, trauma, relationships and founding yourself.
I loved being able to see Blakeley's point of view to the hazel & luke betrayal. I just in general love Blakeley, she is strong but also so vulnerable. I love how the writer shows the characters weakness as well as her development throughout the book. Don't even get me started on Devon, he is the perfect, more quiet, broody sweetheart. The spice in this book is just perfection, perfectly spicy and soft. And there is spice in a nice amount, not too much and not too little..
This book truly made me go through emotions and caused through heartbreak, in the end i did feel like my heartbreak was slightly cured eventhou i think this story will be with me for a while longer.
Thank you netgalley, the publisher and author for an late Advanced reader copy in exchange of an honest review.
