Whether you see yourself as wheelchair bound, blind, having a skin disorder, or need a boost to be the best you can be, this rhyming alphabet book is perfect!
The illustrations by Mimi Moffie are simple, colorful, and expressive.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
I love that this book shows kids of all sizes and abilities doing everyday wonderful things. I think that alone is a great message. The words that the author choose were wonderful too. I great book for all kids!
While this was a short read, the book itself is only fourteen or fifteen pages. The author and illustrator managed to put a large variety of different conditions and important concepts. I enjoyed seeing children who were wheelchair users and who had conditions like Vitiligo. It was also encouraging to see fat bodies within the book not just contained on one page but just presented as a part of life.
The other concept I liked that this book focused on was the importance of consent. It had two pages covering the topic one of the importance of the word no and another focuses on one's body being private.
I'd give this book five stars, the art popped and the narrative was engaging. It would be perfect for any children three and up.
With a delightfully diverse cast of children this board book acknowledges the beauty in differences and empowers those who can see themselves in its pages. I loved the disability justice lens of the messaging and the easy to absorb affirmations that reflected self love inside and out.
This is a cute board book full of positive affirmations. Children and adults will find pages about body positivity, consent, self worth.
The colours are very vivid and eye catching. There is a lot of diversity in the images of the children, which is always amazing.
Some of the pages are very repetitive and the same general message can get repeated over several pages.
Some of the pages I found to be overly positive, and not in a good way. For example, saying that they can do anything they want to do. Sometimes that is not the case due to their disability, and that is okay. I understand that the author wanted a positive tone to this book of course, but I would have rather that message just not be included at all.
I Love Me from A to Z is such an amazing little book filled with a variety of positive affirmations.
It's for all ages, you can learn your alphabet, admire the beautiful drawings, practice or learn to read, and it brings a lot of important, essential subjects to you and your children.
And I can tell you it's also a good read for adults !! (I felt so much better when read it, true story)
The illustrations are really cute and so colorful. The backgrounds and characters are eye catching, there's a lot to explore.
It talks about consent, your skills, your worth, your qualities. Encourages the reader to love themselves, to be inspired, explore and question things when there's something wrong : you have a voice, you can listen to it and you can speak up, for yourself, for others.
The thing I would point is that, sometimes, some sentences were a bit repetitive when it could have used other affirmations.
I Love Me from A to Z is heartwarming and sweet. You feel really nice after reading it, would recommand.
Here is one of my favorites quotes from it : "V is for value. I am worthy of love and acceptance."

I love everything about this book! It is so positive and uplifting. The illustrations are beautiful and perfectly complement the words. Recommend this book for libraries, classrooms, and home libraries. This is a good book to use as a springboard for activities, such as an activity about kindness on the K page. Recommended!
The illustrations are adorable. I absolutely love the diversity in the characters represented, but not only that, but the disability representation was on point. I love the way that the author encourages kids to speak out to injustice while also encouraging them to take care of themselves as well. Not only that, but it teaches body autonomy in such a simple way. That can be a very difficult subject to teach, but the author did it very well. Loved it!
I love me from, a to z by Emily Lauren Dick is a colorful, heartwarming children's picture book that everyone will take heart to add to the family library, I think this was a genius idea.
Absolutely charming and a really great tool for parents/educators wanting to teach children about body positivity, autonomy, and consent. Each letter offers an affirmation that would be great for starting discussions with a child. Further, all the children in the book are diversely depicted, really showcasing what the world looks like but also helping children see themselves, their families and friends, amongst the pages.
Adorably illustrated text shares how a child can practice positivity and self-care. Differently abled children and the representation of many ethnicities make this an inclusive book!
I love the message of this picture book - love yourself no matter what! My toddler had me read it over and over to her, so it's a five star in our house.
This book runs through the alphabet as it gives young children a list of reasons why they should love themselves, a good lesson to learn early. It also touches on body autonomy and being kind to others because we have our own self-confidence. The illustrations are colourful and diverse. This will be great for bedtime stories or in a classroom.
Thank you to Familius and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this picture book! It is a great way to encourage children to love who they are. The illustrations are beautiful and are inclusive of many cultures, body types, and abilities. The text is simple and drives home the idea of self-love. I will definitely be recommending this book to parents of young children.
I received a digital ARC of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publisher.
I think that there was a really good idea here. My only issue with this book was it felt very, very one-note. I would have liked to see more variety in terms of the writing. Majority of the pages said (ultimately) the same single thing: I love myself. While this is a great message to plant in kids' heads early, repeating roughly the same exact idea/sentence every other page makes the book less engaging than it could be.
On the other hand, I loved how diverse and colorful the illustrations were! This gave the book a very joyful and heartwarming feel, which fit well. Additionally, the diversity in the illustrations will help kids see themselves more easily within these pages and the message will have a greater impact. Similarly, I think that the wide range of words used will definitely help readers expand their vocabularies, making this book educational as well as empowering.
As a preschool teacher and mom, I love every part of this book. I love the inclusivity, the illustrations, and the vocabulary. Probably my favorite part is all of the inclusion of the alphabet and words associated with each letter. This is such a powerful tool for pre reading skills and is a great ‘i spy’ game while reading aloud. This looks like a book my daughter would love and cherish.
Firstly, I'd like to extend a thank you to the author, Emily Lauren Dick, the illustrator, Mimi Moffie, the publisher, Familius, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this children's picture book called I Love Me from A to Z. I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble upon release. What an adorable and inclusive book! I thought this book was just so cute. This alphabet-centered kids' book has a girl featured doing an activity on each page related to the letter, and there is a great diversity of skin tones/sizes/hair styles/scenarios represented that will be sure to capture the attention of a child. Little girls will probably find a lot from this book, as it has a lot of pink, girly color schemes and most of the characters in the book seem female-presenting (but children of other genders will certainly not be unable to connect to any of the information). I thought the word choices for each letter were good and the sentences were chosen well in order to encourage body positivity, healthy choices, and self-confidence. I would recommend this to children of all kinds!
This is a really sweet alphabet book with a great message for young children. I really enjoyed the diversity and representation in this book. The illustrations are adorable. The book is fun and engaging. My five year old really enjoyed reading the book to me. This would be the perfect book to read in a preschool or kindergarten classroom!
Okay I absolutely adore this!! Each letter is a beautiful message and the illustrations are so cute. I love the diverse representation too! Will definitely be reading this to my nephew when he’s older.
thank you to netgalley, author emily lauren dick, illustrator mimi moffie and familius for the ARC epub version of this future board book.
this book deserves a spot in every library, in classrooms and in your child’s personal collection. the casual lgbtq+ positivity and disability representation was fantastic. it was very cute!
