The last thing I ever want to do is to not love a book. This multiplies when I am given the privilege of an advanced copy to listen/read in exchange for a fair and honest review. I can only imagine the time, effort, passion and energy that goes into getting a book published. I feel bad, but this book did not work for me on. It took me multiple times of starting, stopping and restarting to finally get into. I didn’t find any chemistry between the main characters in any way other than fake, forced and not even a tad believable. Additionally, I didn’t really connect with or like either of them enough to root for them individually or as a team. I thought the concept was fun, but just not the characters themselves. Lastly, I didn’t love the narration. I think I might have enjoyed this more had I read it. All of this said, I look forward to what comes next from this author as just because I didn’t love this one won’t take away from the others I’ve enjoyed and what is to come.
Later on We’ll Conspire was an absolute delight! Perfect Christmas romance with action and intrigue to boot! I would love to watch a movie version of this! Until then I’ll just relisten to the audiobook!
I quite like this book! It's a cute romance novels with witty banter. There's lots of awkward and entertaining moments.
It's a bit of fun, set at Christmas time.
The main character is an awkward woman, recently dumped and out of a job. She meets a suave and handsome spy and they travel to her family for Christmas.
They go on adventures together and there's lots of twists and turns.
I recommend this audiobook as a bit of lighthearted entertainment.
Thank you to Netgalley and Kortney Keisel for the ARC.
I love Kortney Keisel’s books so much. They are always so fun. I’m constantly laughing out loud and smiling so much. Her writing style is one of my favorites. And I never turn down a spy romcom.
The chemistry between Park and Lacee was absolutely electric. There are so many fun moments. Even though this book has been out awhile, I don’t want to spoil anything, so I can’t summarize much, but this book has everything you want in a holiday romcom:
Holiday charm
Funny, laugh out loud moments
Crazy reindeer
Elf vomiting holiday cheer
Lacee’s family was so great
Twists and turns
Many surprises
I listened to the audio and it was fantastic. The narrators were absolutely perfect. And I love dual narrators. Andy Harrington and Amanda Friday brought Lark and Lacee to life. Their expression and emotion was perfectly timed and instantly brought me into the story. Each doing so well with the different characters.
Huge thank you to the audio publisher for the NetGalley approval.
I loved the idea behind this one! A Christmas spy rom-com sounds absolutely delightful. Unfortunately, I ended up having to DNF this one after about 5 attempts to listen to it. The narration fell really flat for me, and I did not like the way the main characters were voiced. (Honestly checked to see if it was AI) I also didn't connect with the characters. Their monologues were odd, and I just couldn't get into it. Thanks to NetGalley, Kortney Keisel, and Dreamscape for the chance to read and review! This one didn't end up being for me, but I am obviously in the minority. If you are looking for some Holiday fun, it might still be worth checking out!
Later On We’ll Conspire by Kortney Keisel
Another holiday novel…sort of. You have to include intrigue, the CIA, secret identities, murder, mayhem, high speed car chases, lies, and deception…but round that out with ginger bread house competitions, and you’ve got a great story, full of mystery and romance. Give it a read to see how Kortney Keisel ties all this together in a nice Christmas package!!!
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for a copy of this audiobook! I enjoyed the narrator(s) of this audiobook overall, but struggled to connect with the characters and didn’t feel the chemistry between them that I would hope from rom-com.
I was glad I read this, but it wasn’t overly memorable to me either.
OK, this book is over the top implausible, but hear me out. Sassy characters, spy stuff, assassins, fighting, conspiracy, double agents, treason... and a PG-rated romance full of Christmas. I'm struggling to put into words that this book was nutter than a fruitcake, ridiculously cheesy, and I truly enjoyed it. Every bit of it pleasantly surprised me.
This was such a fun read to kick off November and holiday season! The narrator amplified the story and was wonderful. Who doesn’t love spies?! But also this book had mr laughing out loud at multiple points.
“I love you too. All versions of you.”

A Christmas Spy Rom-Com?
Yes Please! Okay, I admit, I went into this totally blind, only knowing who the author was, and that it was part of a multi-author series, and that it is a Christmas book. I was so pleasantly surprised when I got into it and discovered, not only is it all of those things, but also a spy rom-com, one of my newest obsessions.
First off, the meet-cute was hilarious, and very wow! Kortney is the queen of the best meet-cutes.
I loved so many aspects of this one. The spy aspects kept this one moving at a fast-pace, some of the big plot twists were so great (though I used my great sleuthing skills and predicted the biggest one). No spoilers here, so I am not going to say anything else about that.
I really enjoyed the fact that Christmas was a big part of this, from the expletives like "Jingle Bells!" to gingerbread making, and many more parts, made for such a fun read/listen.
The chemistry between Lacey and Park was so off the charts.
I felt so bad for Park as he explained his back story. So sad!
I definitely recommend this one. Made for a fun, adventurous, Holiday read!
Audio Thoughts: I always enjoy a book where Andy Harrington and Amanda Friday are the narrators. They always do such a wonderful job on dual narration, and this one was no exception.
My Favorite Parts:
Meet Cute
Making Gingerbread houses
First kiss
Spy Rom-Com
Their banter and chemistry
Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for the review copy. All thoughts are my own.

This book!!!! Oh my goodness I love this book! I read this book when it first came out a few years and it was a four star but listening to it this year it was a solid five! The narrators are perfect for this book and I could stop listening to it!
A must listen this holiday season!
Thank you NetGalley and Kortney for a copy of this book to listen and review.
Lacee is heading home for the holidays when she bumped into international spy, Park Bradshaw. Now they are spending Christmas together. Although, I kind of figured out all the twists and turns, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and would recommend it if you're looking for a holiday romance with action.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
It's November 1 so I can officially review a Christmas book, lol. This one didn't have too much of a holiday feel, but it was a fun story. It was my first Kortney Keisel book and I have since read one more. I didn't love the narrator as much as other books I've listened to, but, the story kept me interested and I enjoyed the characters and seeing what was going to happen. I thought I had maybe figured out the plot twist and I was happy when it was confirmed. If you like spy stories, this is for you. So glad I had the chance to read an ARC of this book. Thank you NetGalley. So glad I could find a new author to read!
I had to turn the volume down on this book because the female narrator sounded like she was shouting every single word. Aside from that, this was a cute story. I liked the spy, adventure part of the story. It was a bit far-fetched but fun! I would recommend the physical book if you want to read this story.
A fun and light reading full of banter, Christmas, family, friendship and a touch of suspense. Park and Lacee are great together even while lying to each other to achieve their goals. The dual narration from Amanda Friday and Andy Harrington makes the audiobook very interesting
This audiobook is if Die Hard and an Hallmark movie were to have a baby!
I read this book last year when it first came out and absolutely loved it! So when I had the opportunity to listen to it I jumped on it and it DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT!
I love the meet cute between Lacee and Park in the department store and just all the hijinx that ensues between the two of them throughout the book. Their banter puts a smile on my face and a giggle on my lips. When my husband asks me why I'm giggling while I'm listening while doing the dishes, I know it's a good book!
This story is action packed and the narrators do a great job keeping the intensity while still giving us great banter and laugh worthy moments. I love duet narration and Amanda Friday and Andy Harrington are fantastic at delivering their lines. I can't recommend this audiobook enough!
Later On We’ll Conspire by Kourtney Keisel
Contemporary romantic suspense. Dual POV. Closed door.
Lacee is going home to her parents for the holidays. Having a handsome and fun man along for the ride is unexpected and apparently a bit dangerous. He says his mother lives in the same small town and since her rental car from the airport is somehow cancelled, her only option is to accept his ride offer. But there seems to be some strange men following Park.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Amanda Friday and Andy Harrington. This is an interactive pairing of voices instead of chapter specific so the performance is almost like a conversation. It’s the ultimate dual narration. Both do a fantastic job with their person as well as narrating to the audience. Playing off each other was especially fun with the two voices.
I listened at my usual speed of 1.5 and still feel that because it matches reading and conversational levels, that I didn’t miss anything.
The mystery and spy games were fun and since Lacee had so many active and physically demanding hobbies we know that she would be good at spy games. And she clearly is even when caught up in the madness that seems to follow Park.
I really liked Park’s honor of protecting and trying to help his partner. He’s a good guy and it shows.
The banter was over the top humerus and the innuendo entertaining. It’s a fast read as situations closely followed each other without lags.
A light hearted spy game holiday romance.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Dreamscape Select.

This book has me laughing out loud. However for some reason it feels like something is missing. I didn't hate this book but it wasn't my favorite either
Later On We’ll Conspire by Korney Keisel is a unique holiday romance that will have you laughing through all the antics.
Park Bradshaw is a CIA operative who has received his next mission from his close friend and parent asking for help. He needs to locate two microchips that contain invaluable information and deliver them to his partner. His plan is moving along until Lacee Warren enters the picture and gets tangled up in the mission. Park and Lacee have instant chemistry and don’t mind having to spend a few extra days together for the holidays.
The pacing of this story is fast and you don’t know what is coming next. The characters were fun and had an easy banter that made it easy to root for them. They are able to keep things light and humorous even with some intense moments.
There were a few moments where the plot dragged, but it didn’t last too long.
Listening to this book the narrators did a great job at bringing Park and Lacee to life.
If you are in the mood for a fun, silly, and action-filled holiday romance this is the book for you!
Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Select, and Kortney Keisel for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.
