Our adventure starts with a bank robbery and we're soon up to our necks in money laundering, rival gangs, a duplicitous religious leader and more.

Bob has made it to the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia and tracks down an old teammate who may be able to provide him with information. Justin, however, needs Bob's help trying to suss out why a mild mannered guy, Arthur, is intentionally losing in the casino.

When Justin gets hurt before he can do any information gathering for Bob, Bob decides that this mission has become personal. As Bob confronts the gang he learns of the manipulation Arthur has been under, Tiffany appears to be a real femme fatale. Now Bob may have to save the bank robbers from the real threat. Bob can’t let Arthur get into more trouble - he may be an idiot but he's an innocent idiot.

Taut storyline with some empathetic characters. It was lovely to "see" nurse Dawn again. She really does act as Bob's touchstone and consciousness. Her influence on Bob has been huge. There may be several strands to the story but I didn't get confused by them, it just added meat to the bones of the overarching story.

I really enjoy these outings with Bob and Co. I can switch my brain off and just go along for the ride. I'm hoping for another adventure soon.

This book is well written, easy and entertaining to read, has very good characters and lots of action. The main character is smarter than in the earlier books, and even though the plot still has some strange elements, this is a good action book.

Ian Loome continues to produce entertaining thrillers. Snake Eyes is the latest in the Rogue Warrior series about Bob Singleton. This time he has come to Philadelphia and are visiting an old friend who think he has seen someone laundering money in the casino where he works. When he get shot down in his home Bob can no longer sit still and the race is on. The book is well written even though I had some problems with the military lingo and the characters are great. There is actually a lot going on in this book not only with the money laundering and his friend getting shot, there is also a bankrobbery and a heist at a poker game. Oh, we mustn't forget about Bobs own problems trying to stay out of sight from his former employer and trying to stay sober and not kill everyone. I must thank Inkubator Books and Netgalley for giving me this advance copy that hits the shelf in the end of October.
