Baking It Merry is a cute holiday romance. Daphne is a baker who has a pop up bakery in an office building. There she encounters a grinch who thinks the pop up shops should be else where.

Thank you Net Galley and Chasing Romance for this arc.

I absolutely loved this book.

It literally checked all the boxes for me
✅️ Grumpy/Sunshine
✅️ Small town
✅️ enemies to lovers
✅️ Christmas feel good story

Daphne and Tristan's story was so warm and fuzzy. You literally couldn't help but root for them. I'm a sucka for Christmas romance novels no matter what season it is. Baking is Merry is a smooth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s.

I was sent this book as an audiobook arc reader. Was it super cheesy and at times cringey, yes! But did I also enjoy the story and love the characters, absolutely.

This book reads like a good hallmark Christmas movie.

Grumpy grinch, main male character, sunshine happy female lead, which lead to an amazing relationship build up. Some sexual tension, between characters. There are closed door love scenes.

There was a miscommunication/ third act break up, which is not my favorite troupe. But it was resolved quickly and it wasn’t an unrealistic problem.

Overall, if you are looking for a fun Christmas read I would recommend this book.

Bake it Merry is a festive rom-com that serves up the perfect blend of humor and heart. The grumpy x sunshine trope shines, with a delightful MFC whose charm contrasts hilariously with the MMC's control freak ways. Their banter is laugh-out-loud funny, and the family dynamics add warmth to the story. As the quote says, “You didn’t go from enemies to lovers without some awkwardness,” capturing their charmingly bumpy journey. A fun and heartwarming read for the holiday season!

I am a sucker for Christmas romance stories! This one did not disappoint. I love that she was full of Christmas cheer and he was a grumpy old Grinch. I listened to this on audio in my car and I found myself arriving to work early so I could listen a little longer before I had to go in or sitting in my driveway when I got home to keep listening. That is the equivalent of couldn't put it down, right? If you are looking for a Christmas read, definitely give this one a go! Thank you to the author and publisher for the ARC of this audio.

This book adorable from the beginning, very cute and festive. It feels more YA than anything but that’s not a bad thing. I did enjoy the plot and character arcs but I felt like I could see what was coming from the very beginning (and if you’re looking for a very easy read, no twist and turns, that’s what this book is!)

Psa; this book will make you very hungry!

overall, I liked the plot of this story. I love baking and holidays so the basis of this story was good. I love the drive and care that she puts into her work for the season. I have done that and it is hard work.

the thing that was getting me was that I thought the FMC was pretty judgemental and it was rubbing me the wrong way. She acted like she was a victim to his criticsm, but then she was judgemental back about how he was a liar and stuck up. how he was upset with a coworker looking down on her, but she called him out for being the exact same. It started to bug me though.

in general, the narration was good and I was able to listen for long periods of time without needing a break.

I do plan on sharing this book on my instagram on Monday, November 18th.

This is grumpy sunshine meets Christmas magic. In Baking it Merry we follow Daphne and Tristan along their path to love. I loved this cozy Christmas romance. This has the perfect dash of spice and for someone who hated the Christmas decor Tristan certainly loves Daphne’s blueberry muffins. I certainly loved all the background we got on Daphne’s baking business and Tristan’s architectural work. Great work to Samantha Chase! 4.5 ⭐️

Cute Christmas story. Take one grumpy architect and one sunshine baker and you get a recipe for a good book. When the annual pop up Christmas shops open in front of his building Tristan is one grumpy elf. Daphne, with her gingerbread house full of baked goods really set him off.with her festive cheer. Begrudgingly he asks for her help to cater some events for the family architecture firm. The more time they spend together she convinces him he doesn’t have to work so hard to follow in the traditions of generations of architects before him. Fake dating turns into something more. Thank you to NetGalley and Brilliance audio for this free advanced digital copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily

This was an adorable grumpy x sunshine/fake dating/small town holiday romance that also added a little bit of spice to the story! This could totally be a Hallmark Christmas Movie.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Daphne and Tristian. I found their banter to be hilarious and their character development together was well written. This book is definitely a quick read but it didn't feel like a short story.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration by Melanie Mendez.

Thank you to Samantha Chase, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book will make all your Hallmark movie dreams comes true!

I could have eaten this book up! The perfect blend of Christmas spirit, slightly cheesy romance and a touch of spice (closed door)!

I adored the communication between the characters and LOVED how the FMC was so sure of herself and confident in what she wanted in her career and love life. I finished this book in one day I just couldn't get enough!

I would love to see this book brought to the small screen so I could cozy up with a hot chocolate, delicious snack and a warm blanket to complete the vibes this book was giving.

I am in my holiday romance era and this was just adorable. I love books with bakers and this one had all the treats. Tristan is a grump and Daphne is holiday sunshine and it just works. It reminds me of a Hallmark movie and was sugary sweet but I didn't mind it because that is what I expect from my holiday romances. If you are in the mood for a light holiday read, then pick this up. Bonus was that Tristan was an architect and I work at a firm so it was really close to home for me in a lot of aspects.
Thanks to Dreamscape, Samantha Chase and Netgalley for an ALC.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine holiday novella that sees Tristan, a Grinchy, uptight architect trying to sabotage Daphne, the charming pop up baker who has a little Gingerbread house stand in the lobby of his building. Despite getting off to a disastrous first start, Tristan finds himself in need of Daphne's baking services to help him cater a number of holiday events. While I thought Tristan was a bit of a jerk throughout most of the book, he did slowly win me over towards the end. Great on audio narrated by Melanie Mendez and a fun read for the season! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

This book is really funny, a very good holiday romance.
Is he grumpy without any good reason? Yes
Is she extra sunshine without any good reason? Yes
Does this work perfectly and makes you want to keep listening? YYYEEESS!! Definitely Yes.
The narration is captivating.
It's fake dating, enemies to lovers, closed door, slow burn.

Such a sweet, cozy Christmas read!

Small town with enemies to lovers or maybe this case Scrooge to Ms Claus romance, a fake relationship, and topped off with all the ginger bread houses and baked goods.

Daphne is a Christmas crazed baker and Tristan the grumpy architect gets strung together when Tristan gets put in charge of Christmas parties for his family’s business and is in need of some sweet treats.

I very much enjoyed this cozy read and unlike other romance books I loved how the main characters talked about issues and didn’t avoid them. All that was missing was some cocoa so make sure and stock up before starting because this is very easily a finish in one sitting book

Have treats on hand for this one!

Baking It Merry is a delightful holiday romance that will leave you craving a cozy night by the fire. Tristan, the grumpy architect, and Daphne, the cheerful holiday baker, are a hilarious and unexpected pair. Their witty banter and opposite personalities create a dynamic that was fun to watch develop and grow.

As they're forced to pretend to be in a relationship for Tristan's family, they find themselves growing closer. I enjoyed all of the festive touches throughout the story, and the side characters were great as well.

If you're looking for a feel-good romance to escape with this holiday season, Baking It Merry is the perfect choice, especially on audio! Be sure to have your favorite sweet treats on hand to enjoy alongside this charming small town story.

Very cute enemies to lovers/fake dating holiday novella!

Samantha Chase's holiday romances are the best. I love the holiday cheer in them plus they are fun to read. Daphne and Tristan are perfect if you love grumpy x sunshine trope. I liked their interactions a lot. I was smiling so much while listening to this.

Narrator Melanie Mende did a wonderful job. I really liked her voice.

Perfect holiday romance!

Daphne is a baker with so much joy and Christmas cheer it lights up a room. Tristan is an architect who is unhappy by the existence of happiness.. This is a grumpy sunshine story where our grumpy guys is unfortunately not just grumpy but also borders on unkind and bully behavior. He goes out of his way to say things and do things that upset out FMC because he does not like Christmas. He is very pushy with her and often forces her to work more than she would like to so he can feel comfortable. I found that Daphne was a very sweet character who worked hard and Tristan did not deserver her. I was not convinced at all that they were a good match and she deserved some one who would treat her well and never discourage her business or love of Christmas.
