When I finished Dirty Diana I NEEDED to read this book. Diana in Love, the second book in the series, takes place where we left off. Throughout the novel, we journey with Diana as she navigates being a mother, the separation from her husband, her desires, her past, her career, her art, fantasy vs reality —the lies we tell ourselves and how to recognize them. There is such truth within each experience and I couldn’t stop reading once I started.

Thank Random Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ARC in trade for honest review.

I was originally interested in this one because the first one ended in such an abrupt way. This series reminds me of the netflix series Sex life.

I liked this one more than the first because it was more hopeful and the character Oliver was more redeemed. In the first book he just pissed me off.

If you're looking for a smut book that might get you hot and bothers this one is for you

I adored the first book so much I bought it to have on my shelf after reviewing it on here, so being approved for the sequel had me so excited and it did not disappoint. I always find it interesting how two authors can make a story sound cohesive with two writing styles coming together but Besser and Feste make it work and I think this was better than the first with how their writing styles came together. It was a wonderful read and I'm excited for what is next

Thanks to NetGalley, Random House Publishing, and Dial Press Trade for sending me an ARC of Diana in Love in exchange for my honest review.

This book is 2 of 3 of the Dirty Diana Trilogy. I don’t feel it should be read as a stand alone you wouldn’t enjoy book 2 as much if you don’t read book 1 first.
***(Book 1 is 5 stars btw!)

Diana in love follows Diana’s journey as a newly separated and soon to be divorcé. She is having a hard time adjusting to her new normal as she’s been married for so long she is taking a while to get accustomed to her new routine, she is having trouble sleeping at night because she has been sleeping next to Oliver for so long. Now she is learning how to coparent, how to rediscover her new self, and on top of that she is starting to date her first love who broke her heart 15 years ago. She continues working on her new website and eventually agrees to start to go to couples counseling with Oliver.

I feel like this book explores so many realities that marriages go through when they decide to separate. From personal growth, fears, to the realities of going to marriage counseling where we learn to confront our own and our partners insecurities to issues of this children who are learning how to live in two separate households.

I loved the realness and vulnerability in this series especially during Oliver’s and Diana’s discussions in their therapy sessions. I feel like those conversations and arguments were the REALEST marriage issues I have seen incorporated into any book I have read so far!

Again, just like in book 1, I hate the MMC’s and we are also left in kind of like a cliffhanger, which because the rest of the book is so good I don’t mind it.

I can’t wait for book 3!
Thanks again for the ARC!
4.5 stars for me

Picked up right where Dirty Diana ended. We see Diana struggling with her feelings in this book. Oliver is finally opening up about what he wants in therapy and taking accountability.

I honestly liked Diana more in the first book. Not gonna lie, she annoyed me a bit in this. I wanted to shake her several times.

I was pleasantly surprised with L’Wren’s character in a really good way. She’s an amazing friend and I love the friendship between her and Diana.

We do see Jasper in this one as well. I actually really liked him in this. I felt the connection and sexual tension between him and Diana anytime they were near each other.

There are some really good spicy scenes and man.. 🥵🥵 I was here for it.

There was a new character introduced and I absolutely loved her.

Now I bet some of yall are wondering.. well, who does Diana choose: Oliver or Jasper?

Good question lol. This book is going in a different direction than I anticipated and not necessarily in a bad way. I’m really curious to see how this is gonna end and who she continues her story with.

Definitely recommend if you liked Dirty Diana and you NEED to see where her life is headed. I CANNOT WAIT until book 3.

The sequel to Dirty Diana doilies the arc of Diana, caught in a stale marriage breaks away from her husband and starts her own business venture of painting portraits of women as they tell their darkest dreams. Following a trip to Paris she returns home to Dallas and her separation to deal with the repercussions. On one side her new interest is experiencing his own artistic fame, while her ex wants to seek counseling and possibly restart their marriage, and their daughter is showing signals of the marital discord at school. The question is what is Diana to do, can marriages evolve after they’ve broken, and where should her happiness lie.

Inhaled this in less than a day because once again this novel delivered fresh, succinct and great social commentary on women and their sexuality with relation to THEIR bodies. Diana is unlike any other female protagonist that I've read within the past decade and being privy to her inner thoughts and doubts is a testament to GREAT WRITING. Couldn't put this down but I'm eagerly awaiting the third installment.

I’m ready for book three. I need it now. Immediately. Jen and Shana have a gift for drawing you into a story and keeping you hooked. I see so much of myself and my life reflected in these characters. The monotony of everyday life can put you in a funk, but watching these characters embrace who they are and their provocative sides reminds you there is more to life, and it is okay to embrace that too. Jen and Shana truly know how to write a sex scene. Their writing is powerful, engaging, and completely cringe-free. I was absolutely hooked. My only complaint is that I need more. These cliffhangers are killing me!

Diana In Love is a quick, light, spicy read, and great continuation of the first book. You have to read Dirty Diana before this one, or you’re completely lost. Some characters drove me nuts at times, so I didn’t try to read too much into it. A fantastic book to get lost in for a while, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the third one. Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review.

Thank you to Random House Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced E-ARC of this title

I am really enjoying this series. I dislike that they end on a cliffhanger, but I give props to the author for leaving me wanting more.
This book continues where its predecessor 'Dirty Diana' left off. Diana is grappling when her separation from Oliver, finding a work life balance, and reigniting her sexual desires.
This series is really a love letter to women. That we can and need to find joy outside of the box society puts us in. Motherhood, wife, career. We are sexual beings who have needs and wants but are made to feel like we need to keep them at bay. Diana is trying to find a safe space where she can explore, experiment, and express herself.

I do feel like the author skips around a bit and the transitions are a bit bumpy. Sometimes this leaves the reader guessing how much time is passed between scenes.

I look forward to reading the next in this series and am strongly rooting for Oliver and Diana to communicate, address their needs, and end up together.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dial Press Trade for an ARC of Jenn Besser and Shana Feste's book Dirty Diana in exchange for an honest review of the book. I absolutely loved everything about this book and, one again, the cliffhanger just killed me! This book should be read after the first book so you understand the back-story. It is meant to be read this way.

This book continues Diana’s journey of growth, learning to live as a newly separated woman, struggling to watch her soon to be ex-husband date other people. In walks Jasper, the one who got away, who she runs into while on a work trip/vacation in Paris. While in Paris, she gets the break she needs to remember who she is and go back to the woman she wants to be and then goes back home to see if that person live a life in small town Dallas.

In this book, Diana faces some fears, although she still has some big ones to tackle. She and Oliver talk through what tore them apart in marriage counseling which hurts and heals. She also continues on her road to create her Dirty Diana website which she is still debating if it is a good idea.

I find all of the characters to be both amazing and infuriating at the same time, especially the male characters. Maybe that is how the authors wanted the reader to feel. Are men always afraid of commitment? Are couples afraid to tell the truth to each other in fear of hurting the other and dealing with the aftermath? The answer, more often than not, is probably yet.

I would LOVE an ARC for the last book in the series!!! Can’t wait for it to come out!

Thank you netgalley for this advance copy for my review. Diana in love picks up right where dirty diana left off. An excellent sequel if you want to know what happens to Diana. It ties up nicely in a neat little bow with plenty of spice along the way. Four stars

I was excited to get the opportunity to read this 2nd book after the 1st book cliffhanger left me reeling. However, we have yet another one and it’s just not my cup of tea. I would much rather one longer story with a HEA, just personal preference!

I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. I appreciate how nuanced and messy Diana’s situation is. No one is perfect in this book, but no one is a villain, either.

what a fun series! book two, diana in love, focused heavily on diana’s relationship with her (still) husband, oliver. lots of honesty through therapy sessions together. jasper remains a variable but they’re back to their on again/off again “see you when it’s convenient” status.
i can’t wait to see where the dirty diana project goes and how much involvement petra will have.
these books hook you and i can’t wait to read the third!

thank you to random house publishing group for providing this book for review consideration via netgalley. all opinions are my own.

While I devoured this book in a day, it left me so unsatisfied. Why? Because it feels like Diana is even more at odds than she was in the first book? Did she really do all of this to get back with her husband? Idk!! And now I have to wait for book 3.

Diana in love completely swept me away. Diana’s rediscovery of herself, her passions, desires, and a long-lost spark, was written so deeply and emotionally. The author’s writing style makes every scene come alive, particularly when Diana reconnects with Jasper in Paris. You can feel the tension, the heartache, and the freedom all at once. What I loved most was how real Diana’s journey felt, struggling with her past while embracing who she’s becoming. This book is about reclaiming who you are, and that was one of the reasons it resonated with me in ways I didn’t expect. I can’t wait for the next book already.
