This was fucking adorable and couldn’t put it down, I need the next instalment like I need my next breath..

You’ve forced proxity, one bed trope, married in vegas, tension and angst like you wouldn’t believe.

The miscommunication in this book made me throw my kindle across the room more times then I can count but the friendship group was always on point and there to advice when the main characters didn’t want to hear it. And that’s true friendship.

The way this love so hard and there through breaking their traumas of the past and moving forward was so heart warming and made me so giddy. I feel in love with these characters and it was really easily for me to all in love with all the side characters too. The group dynamic was chefs kiss, the banter, wittiness and humour was A++ for me.

My only qualm with this book was the Matt chapter, I would reading it but I think it should have come after the epilogue.

I’ll start by saying that the miscommunication trope has never been one of my favorite things, and I usually will ignore books with it but this book was actually written so well.

I think it was very well executed, and Hannah and Grayson were absolutely adorable together 🥹

Grayson helping Hannah through standing up to her mom, and Hannah being there for him for everything that happened with his family was so cute. And watching Hannah become comfortable with him and letting him after guarding her heart as well.

I freaking loved this book and will definitely be reading the others on the series. This can definitely be read as a standalone.

Nothing like waking up in Vegas married to the doctor who you share a complicated history with. Oops!

I loved the chemistry between Hannah and Grayson and his determination to make things right. The supporting characters are fantastic and I loved the ending. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for a “My Wife!” kinda vibe.

Thanks for NetGalley for the ARC. I loved every minute of it. Work place romance mixed with fake marriage.. Grayson loved Hannah from the beginning. He fell first. The nickname is spitfire was spicy. The spice was just enough spice. They end up falling for each in the end.❤️

Dear Alex Taylor,

I usually like a fake marriage/Las Vegas marriage story but this one was not for me.

ER doctor Grayson Maxwell and ER Nurse Hannah Smith share the same friendship group and work in the same emergency room, often sharing the the same shifts. They dated briefly a couple of years earlier but she walked in on him and another nurse, Samantha, kissing in a supply closet and that was the end of things. Hannah was devastated. But they never talked about what happened. Grayson was not a willing participant in the closet kissing but he never told Hannah that, thinking he didn’t deserve her anyway and that she’s better off without him. Also, and paradoxically, later on, Grayson says that he didn’t want to get his heart stomped on again like when he was 18, so he decided to let Hannah believe the lie. I have many feelings about Grayson’s level of maturity here.

They both attend a work conference in Las Vegas and when the book begins, they wake up married. Grayson never thought he’d get married but now that he is, he wants to see if he can convince Hannah to remain his wife. So he proposes a deal with her (“proposes a deal” is doing a lot of work here): If she stays married to him for 90 days, moves into his apartment – he sleeps on the couch, she gets the bedroom – and goes on dates with him to try and make a go of things. If, at the end of the 90 days she still wants an annulment, he will not contest it. If she does not agree, he will make it as hard as possible for her to get an annulment. (See what I mean about “propose a deal”?)

Hannah agrees because she feels she has little choice. At one stage, she decides to be as annoying as possible, leaving things messily around his apartment, making a lot of noise in the living area when he’s asleep, watching TV she knows he will hate, etc, but that lasts approximately one day and then it is abandoned for reasons which eluded me.

Grayson decides that Hannah could not possibly believe there was never anything between he and Samantha and so he STILL does not tell her what really happened (regardless of whether she would actually believe him or not). So Hannah believes she is trapped in a marriage for 90 days with a cheater who blackmailed her into being there.

Hannah asks that Grayson not tell his guy friends or anyone else until she has had a chance to tell her girl friends and he agrees. Unfortunately, another dude is flirting with her at a group dinner and Grayson goes all caveman and outs their nuptials in front of all of their friends.

“Luke, I highly recommend you remove your hand from my wife if you’d like to keep it.”

I did not like Grayson’s possessiveness –

“Spitfire, I did respect that, but then Luke touched you. I’m going to make this abundantly clear, so listen closely. I. Don’t. Fucking. Share. You may not want to be in this marriage, but you are. We are married. You are my wife, and I am your husband. And while we’re married, no other man will touch you. If I see another man’s hands on you, I will break his fucking fingers. Do you understand me?”

that is not sexy to me, especially now – and I did not understand Hannah’s reaction to it, particularly given she believed at the time that he had cheated on her. Why not call him on it? (I mean, he was corralling her into the side of a car and he was angry at that time (or so it seemed to both me and Hannah) so I get not saying much then and shutting down, but why not later? Why is she living with him if she believes him to be potentially violent and if she does not thinks he could be violent with her, why not say something??)

Grayson tries to do nice things for Hannah to show her he cares and that he’s a good guy but it is not until about the 60% mark that he tells her he didn’t in fact cheat with Samantha and I had bailed by then. In fact, I bailed at the point, shortly before then, when Hannah and Grayson go to his family’s property in the country and she decides to masturbate in the woods (she happens to have a vibrator with her, as one apparently does), he catches her at it and sexy times ensue.

I literally said “Nope” and closed the book. I am not the audience for this one I’m afraid. I did not like the characters well enough to continue. I struggled my way to 46% but that was enough for me.

“Grayson, how long have you been in love with my best friend?” She nudges me again. “How long?”

I snap. Leaning forward, I say, “Since the beginning, since the first week I met her. Are you happy now?”

She grins. “Yup. Now explain the shitting on love thing then. If you’ve loved her for years, why have you spent the last year shitting on the love your friends have gotten to experience?”

“Because I told myself when I was eighteen I wasn’t going to put myself in that situation again. I wasn’t going to allow my heart to be pulled out of my chest and stomped on. There’s a reason I let her spend the last two years hating me and did absolutely nothing to stop it, but now that she’s my wife, that I get to legally call her mine, I’m saying fuck it and showing her that I care.”

Grade: DNF

Kaetrin

This book is everything to me. This is the first book written by Alex Taylor that I have read and it will definitely not be the last. I fell in love with these characters from the very first page. Grayson is the ultimate book boyfriend. This has a hint of second chance romance in it and the reason for their initial breakup is due to Grayson not thinking he’s enough for Hannah. But now that they are married he will do anything he can to keep her. He is perfect and can do no wrong in my eyes. 💚 I loved this book with every ounce of my being and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic & emotional read.

There were parts of this book that were enjoyable and kept me engaged in the story, but there were other parts that had me questioning if anyone would actually make these choices if they were in the same position. The beginning plot could use some refining to make it more relatable. Would someone actually leave their apartment to live 90 days with someone she despises? I appreciate the trigger warning at the beginning of the story to prepare reader of potential triggers.

Reading this story felt like watching a Disney movie. You know it’s overly positive, slightly unrealistic and everything happens just because the plot needs to flow. So if you’re a fan of sweet, overly-cutesy book boyfriends, with no flaws and personality other than making their girl their sole purpose of life, this book will be for you. But I’m not that girl, so excuse me but it’s time for a bit of a rant.

I couldn’t really understand Hannah’s reaction to the marriage - so you tell me she woke up married to her situationship from two years ago and asked NO QUESTIONS about the night? She just rolled with it and simply moved in with him? Reality just left the chat I guess.

Grayson was just TOO CUTE, but not in a good way 🤮 I understand we book girlies love flawless book boyfriends to death, but for the love of god at least give them some personality other than their love interest, so we can root for them. Because it seems that there’s nothing going on for Grayson than:
1. Work
2. Hockey
3. Making Hannah’s life perfect
Also, his cute behaviour didn’t really match his kinky side during dirty talk. Overall, dirty talk was a bit too much, my eyes just automatically rolled at some sentences.

The spice was well written, but in most cases it was... unnecessary? inappropriately timed? Some of the scenes were waaaayyyy too kinky and dirty and it simply didn't fit the characters.

I love an accidental marriage trope and this was a great one! Such fun characters with angst, healing, heartbreak, and excellently written spice. Definitely a fun read.

4⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Alex Taylor Literary for an advanced copy of Keeping You.

Hannah works as a nurse in the ER and Grayson is an ER physician. They have a complicated history and they are forced to go to a work trip in Vegas. They wake up the next morning married and with little recollection of the previous night. Hannah wants an annulment right away but Grayson asks her to give it ninety days to see if they could make it work. Hannah agrees and over the next few months she begins to realize he may not be the playboy she thought he was.

This is the third book in this series and I do recommend reading the other books before this one because they do give good background on all of the characters. I really enjoyed this book and it was easy to connect with the characters. It has great spice and a good storyline. I would check the trigger warnings because it does tackle some difficult and heavy topics. Highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to continue reading the rest of the series.

This book was heartfelt, delicious, and swoon worthy! Definitely a slow burn but once it happened, it was worth the wait. I absolutely loved how Grayson stood up for Hannah against her self entitled snob of a mother while also giving Hannah the strength to write her off. Then Hannah giving him the strength to overcome his tragic past and finally come to terms that he deserves to be happy as well. Definitely a MUST READ GUYS!

I was SO looking forward to Hannah and Grayson's story after saving you and it did not disappoint. When the two get accidentally married in Vegas, he asks for 90 days to give their marriage a try, which given her absolute disdain for him due to a previous misunderstanding, she says yes.

And Grayson puts on the ultimate show of if he wanted to he would. And each chapter made me melt just a bit more for him and for them. The growth and support the two showed through the course of story, both for themselves and for each other was everything you could hope for. And her grand gesture at the end of their 90 days was the icing on the cake. I loved the epilogue and, sans spoiler, he was able to fulfill a couple of her dreams that were mentioned through the course of the story.

Just as I had said after the last book, I'm very much looking forward to Matt (and Zoey's??) story!

Thank you to the author, Alex Taylor, and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my review!

I was surprised how much I loved this. After a drunken night in Vegas, Hannah and Grayson wake up to find that they've gotten married. Which is Hannah's biggest nightmare because she hates him. She is set on annulling the marriage, whereas Grayson wants to give their marriage a real shot. They come to a 90-day agreement, where they will act as if the marriage is real, and if Hannah still wants out of the marriage at the end of the trial period, they will sign divorce papers. As the story goes on, we learn that they tried dating years ago but broke up due to a misunderstanding. That misunderstanding is the primary reason Hannah wants nothing to do with Grayson, and as he tries to show her how good married life can be, she's trying to "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" him.

I loved these two cuties. Hannah was so relatable to me, from her love of running to her affinity for romance books. Grayson is the sweetest, most possessive caveman. They both came into the accidental marriage with their own trauma, and I loved how they faced that trauma, and leaned on the other person for support.

There were a lot of side characters who were introduced in previous books (this is the 3rd book in the series, and I accidentally started with this one, oops) and I felt like I was constantly having to go back to remember who each character was. The last chapter apart from the epilogue was a completely different POV from Hannah and Grayson's POVs (this book was told from both of their POVs) and it felt like it was just hastily added to make the reader interested in the next book in the series. Maybe the two characters that the next book is about were introduced more in the first two books, but it just felt very out of place.

Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!

This was the cutest story. I have been in a reading slump and this book drew me in instantly and I couldn't get enough of Grayson & Hannah!

I loved their individual stories as well as their romance! I am definitely reading more books of this friend group. This was an easy 5 stars for me!

Thank you NetGalley and Alex Taylor for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Alex Taylor for allowing me to ARC read for ‘Keeping You.’

What a gorgeous story this was. I loved the unconventional marriage that started this book off, it felt ‘perfectly undone,’ and complimented this couple so well.
This is the third book in this series, I haven’t read the first two books, however I had no problem picking up the premise of this book. Some characters were mentioned who I assume come from the previous books, but I was able to still understand them without it taking anything away from the story.

Grayson is definitely swoon worthy, and it’s always nice when a male character demonstrates acts of service as his love language.
Hannah was a good character, but there were times were I was annoyed by her indecisiveness around whether she wanted to divorce or not. For me, it was dragged out a little too long, with a constant yo-yo effect if ‘I want to get divorced, wait, no I don’t, oh but, yes I do.’ It was a good plot decide at first, but I think it went on a little too long.

There are many well written steamy scenes in this book.
I loved the ending, and I’m going to go back and read the rest of this series!

I’d recommend reading ‘Keeping You.’

It was okay, nothing extraordinary, sometimes a bit boring, but overall a very enjoyable book, perfect for lazy evenings. I recommend 👍

A very saucy rom com.
Very modern day banter. Very modern day trope filled.
It's funny how cosy romcom books have changed so much. Or just in include alot more widespread kind of reading.
I liked this one. And definitely want to go back to catch-up on the others in the series.
It's got some very adult topics, moments, themes so it's not cosy cottage romance. But it still holds the same heart which is key for this new immerging genre, I feel. In order to make you love them as much for me they can't just be excuses to be sexual and I think we need to be careful what borders on unacceptable behaviour(specifically men to woman). And try to make it OK because it's wrapped up in a trope romance sexy bundle.

Keeping You follows Hannah, who swore off dating coworkers and playboys after a bad experience, only to wake up married to Dr. Grayson Maxwell after a wild night in Vegas. Grayson, who’s always avoided relationships, convinces her to give him ninety days to make their impulsive marriage work. With planned dates and heartfelt gestures, Grayson shows Hannah a side she never expected, making her question her resolve.

The character growth in this story is truly a highlight. Watching both Hannah and Grayson open up and challenge themselves to grow made their relationship journey feel real and heartfelt. Although the book includes some miscommunication, which can be frustrating, the romance and chemistry more than make up for it. The accidental marriage trope is handled really well, giving their story the right mix of humor and heart.

One thing I found challenging was keeping track of side characters, as I hadn’t read the previous books in the series. Despite this, the romance stands strong on its own, and the chemistry between Hannah and Grayson is electric, making this a highly enjoyable read. If you’re a fan of romance with a mix of humor, character growth, and some steamy moments, Keeping You is a must-read.

-Maybe spoilers!!!-
OMG, I loved the book.
It is a beautiful and well-developed story.
I'm not going to deny that at first I was struck by Hannah's reaction when she discovered that she was married and Grayson's whole proposal, but I really liked how the story of both of them overcoming their lives was written and how in the end they met with themselves. They realized how much they grew with each other.
I'm definitely gonna read the other two books and the next one! I'm really waiting for that one.
At the end of the books I was like: wait a minute, I'd love to know the love story behind every friend Hannah and Grayson have, and when I entered Goodreads last night I was like: OMG EACH OF THEY HAVE A BOOK!!!
I'm gonna start reading the rest of them as soon as i can.
Thank you for the oportunity to read this book and thank Alex for this amazing story.

***I add a note: it is a book that can be read separately from the rest (that's what I did without knowing) but I think I'm going to enjoy it more now that I'm going to read the others

I loved Grayson and Hannah and even though Hannah didn't want the marriage at first I really loved how Grayson never gave up on her🫶 this book does discuss some tough topics but the author did It well. Im glad Grayson finally opend up to Hannah about his past and got the help he needed. And It was satisfying to see Hannah finally stand up for herself to her mother.
