This books was really good! Brothers best friend, they’re both athletes, and great disability representation. The MMC has dyslexia and our FMC is Bipolar, while reading “Stick your Landing” both characters communicate so well with one another, being open about what they need and ensuring the other person is sure about how they feel. The books starts off strong with the spice, times it down for a bit and then brings it right back but doesn’t neglect character growth or plot while keeping the spice there. I will be reading more from this author in the future!

This book was great! The mental health rep was great! And the main characters had some amazing chemistry together.

Oh how I loved this book :)

This is the third installment in the All in series, and I've read them all.
I really loved the first book which was a gem, and in completely different ways they're both my favourites.

Zach and Finley are so so cute, their relationship is based on friendship, mutual trust and drive.
I am in no position to judge how her bipolar disorder is represented in the novel but it felt genuine. It's a quite unusual theme for a romance, and for any story about sport really. It was really interesting.

The book isn't only about a romance, it's also about hard work, reevaluating your priorities every step of the way, family dynamics and how mental illness impacts your life and those of your loved ones.

As always, Kathryn Kincaid portraits so well her main characters and every secondary character has so much flesh, I hope those who haven't yet will get their own story very soon.

Zach and Finley will melt your heart, especially if you're into sport romance (would you be here if you weren't ??) and complex characters. There is some spice but not as much as you'd think after the first chapter (that's an opening :D)

Thank you to Netgalley and Kathryn Kincaid for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I think this story's representation of mental health is among the best I've read in a long time. When you have these symptoms or a diagnosis like Finley's, you have to deal with changes in many aspects of your life, and I really liked that you recognized how much work it takes to go through those changes. I thought Briggs and Finley had a great relationship and were really supportive of one another. I absolutely liked this book and cannot wait to read more from Kathryn Kincaid.

Kathryn has slowly become one of those authors that writes a book I know I’ll love. She has a way of exposing us to sometimes delicate topics that are shown in a raw true yet positive light. I’ve really enjoyed everything from her and stick your landing fits perfectly with what I look for in a book. Absolutely recommend.

I think what has stuck with me the most was that both main characters were struggling with specific parts of themselves and how they were learning to break out of the boxes that people had put them in.This character growth was just phenomenal and so good to read. The chemistry between the two characters bubbles to the surface straight away and I love how they both think they are being so subtle but everyone knows! Mental health and mental abilities was another interesting aspect of the book. I loved the inclusion of characters from other books in the series, but you can read this as a standalone, and I can't wait to see what Kathryn does with this series next!

Big thanks to Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Kathryn Kincaid for a copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This was such a great book!! I really loved the bipolar rep, and seeing Finley’s thoughts throughout the book. I read another book this year with a bipolar MMC, and it was just really interesting to see how different authors have written their characters.

I absolutely LOVED the mental health and Bipolar representation. I grew up with a close family member who struggled with that and felt the author wrote it in such an honest way. Loved the sports side of this book as well and the relationship development of our FMC AND MMC.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

Cute hockey romance. Very predictable, but both characters were likable (as were the supporting characters). Appreciated that both were athletes.

4 stars

I loved the bipolar rep in this book with Finley. Watching her struggle initially and slowly finding out the whole backstory with her was heartbreaking. Watching her come into her own and move forward creating a life she wanted while still maintaining her health as much as she could while fighting for herself proves what a badass she is.

Zach, sweet Zach. His Dyslexia and how it skewed how he saw himself and how he felt others saw him was heartbreaking. He's a little bit of a himbo, but in the best way. He's like a himbo/golden retriever and that combination is so endearing. The way he blindly supported Finley while trying to also better himself is for sure book boyfriend goals.

The two of them having each other's backs no questions asked made them perfect for each other. This is my first Kathryn Kincaid book, but it won't be my last. The way she writes about these heavy topics with such care while also bringing light to them (I learned a lot about bipolar disorders) without making the weight of it crushing or feeling too clinical in the knowledge was so refreshing to read.

While their meet cute may not have been the best, it makes sense more and more as the book goes on. I also loved how the third act break up wasn't really a third act break up. More like a pause. Finley's family is kinda the worst and there's some arc and redeeming of them towards the end, but I'm not sure if it's enough in my eyes.

It's an easy read and I think my first gymnastics read. Thank you, NetGalley and Kathryn Kincaid for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful story by Kincaid which although was a slightly heavier read, it had wonderful mental health representation throughout.

Filled with fun banter and personality, Finley and Zach were lovely to follow along with and for fans of a good hockey romance, you’ll love this one!

This was just perfect. Finley and Zach really just needed someone to love them for who they were. They were able to love each other for all of their flaws and parts they don't like about themselves. They stuck by each others side through everything and I love them.

I received an arc through netgalley.

Stick Your Landing is a cute and easy read. Zach was such a sweetheart and I loved how he was so awkward at times. That was a breath of fresh air. Finley was amazing and I loved how her mental health was addressed. The way she finally addressed her parents was needed.

These two were so adorable together and the chemistry between them was off the charts.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kathryn Kincaid for the opportunity to read an advanced copy.

There is so much that I want to say about this book. While I don’t happen to have bipolar disorder, I do have borderline personality disorder, and the experience I’ve had was very similar to Finley’s journey. Her relationships with the people around her felt so achingly familiar to me, especially her fears about always being too much for the person she loves to stay in her life long term. Finley’s struggles and experiences made me feel so seen, and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to continue to read advance copies of the books in this series. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next, and I’ll finish with my favorite quote from this book: “When you love someone, putting them first isn’t a sacrifice.”

As a huge fan of hockey romance, I was super excited to dive into Stick Your Landing, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The story centers around Zach, a pro hockey player, and Finley, a gymnast, who first meet two years earlier at a wedding. They have a brief, steamy encounter but don’t expect to see each other again—until Zach gets a concussion during a game and ends up recovering at his captain Matt’s house. That’s when Zach runs into Finley again—who turns out to be Matt’s younger sister.

Right from the start, the book is fast-paced, fun, and incredibly addictive. There’s an undeniable chemistry between Zach and Finley, and the forbidden romance adds some extra tension to their relationship. But it’s not just about the romance—this book also explores Finley’s journey after being diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. As she works to bring joy back into her life and worries that no one will ever want to commit to her because of her mental health, her connection with Zach helps her understand that she deserves love and happiness.

The characters in this story are so easy to root for, and the author does a fantastic job of making even the side characters feel important and lovable. The relationships feel real, and there’s a strong sense of warmth and support throughout the story.

That said, while the book is overall super enjoyable, I did feel like things moved a little too quickly after Zach and Finley got together. There were a few moments where the dialogue between them felt a bit forced or cheesy, which took me out of the story for a second. Thankfully, this didn’t last long, and the conclusion was satisfying and wrapped everything up nicely. But there were definitely times when I wished the author had slowed down a little and let things develop more naturally.

Overall, Stick Your Landing is a really fun, heartfelt read with great characters and an emotional core. It’s just a shame it didn’t always take its time to let the romance and character moments breathe a bit more.

When I read the description I knew I needed to read this book and wow it did not disappoint. The writing was amazing I didn’t want it to end. Zach Briggs is my new book boyfriend. He gives such golden retriever vibes. It broke my heart that nobody took him seriously because he deserves the world. Finley is so strong and I loved watching her grow throughout the book. Also the way she stuck up for her man made me love her more. I loved how they were opposites but exactly what each other needed. Overall i’m so happy I read this book and enjoyed it so much.

I will always love when I go into books blind because those are the books I always love from start to finish. I love this hockey/gymnastics romance between two people recovering to get back to the sport they love, especially when one is keeping it a secret from the rest of their family.

Zach and Finley have such a good beginning relationship, I love how they start off as just two strangers at a party and move to roommates with a forbiddenness of Finley’s brother not wanting these two dates. I love how these two develop a friendship and feel comfortable with each other from the beginning, while there are still major secrets to come out, they are the first two people who get each other in a long time.

Zach supports Finley in a way she never has experienced before as the rest of her family is slowly but surely controlling the life out of her, but with love. Finley has Bipolar 2 and after a near death experience, her family has put in a lot of protections to make sure she lives a long life and can help see early symptoms of a bipolar episode. However, she feels like as a result, she can’t live her life, fall in love, do the things she loves, and honestly based on the way her family was portrayed she was right.

I loved how her and Zach stand up for her, and make sure she gets the help she needs in a way to continue her life the way she wants to. The books gets so emotional towards the end and I was crying the entire second half of the book. I couldn’t stop reading even though I needed to go to bed, but I don’t regret it! Absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Kathryn Kincaid

Friends, this book is so good. Kathryn has delivered an absolute treasure of a book and this is immediately one of my new comfort reads. I can’t imagine myself not rereading this at least once before the end of the year.

Ok, here’s why you should read it:

The main characters are delicious. They both have incredible stories and growth and their chemistry is so good.

Finley is a “retired” gymnast who is trying to get back into the sport so you get to see her work through all of her trauma. Kathryn also provides INCREDIBLE mental health rep for Bipolar 2 disorder. You have to read it to get the full effect but it’s perfect.

Zach is a sweet baby playing nhl hockey and I ate it up. He brings so many side characters that are sweet and sassy and just the best.

Since I read Stick Your Landing, I have become a hockey fan. In case you were wondering, I am now a committed Carolina Hurricanes fan. If a book can motivate me to pick up a new hobby, it’s immediately a 5 star read for me.

I knew I was going to love this book just by the cover knowing it was going to be a gymnastics and hockey romance. This was the first book I have read by this author, and I really enjoyed it. The characters Finley & Zach really start off strong with being able to get to know each other since they are living under the same roof in Finley brothers house and Zach best friend/ captain of the hockey team. Zach is only there due to a concussion he had on the ice. Finley was there for Zach when he needed someone to talk since Hockey is his life. Zach was there for Finley along her journey of life stuck in a routine due to having bipolar disorder. (Zach does not find out until the end.) Finley wanted to keep it from him because she was afraid of how he would react.
I really loved how much of mental health representation was in this story, it was done very well. I really liked the FMC & MMC. The family from the FMC however was pretty annoying, they literally did not trust Finley to make her own choses even though she is an adult. She had to hide the fact she was doing gymnastics again. Zach was the only one who knew. Finley knew her triggers for her disorder and Zach helped her get back to having fun in life which she taught Zach some basic life lessons since no one takes him seriously. I loved watching the chemistry these two shared even if their relationship was a secret.

Tropes
hockey x gymnastics
forced proximity
mental health rep
brother's teammate
friends to lovers
black cat x golden retriever
secret relationship

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

This book made me cry and feel appreciated.

I did not expect it from this book but it delivered more than I wanted.

On top of the amazing romance this book sent me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. As someone with dyslexia I felt represented, I also felt like Finley's relationship with everyone who cared about her struck a chord with me.

I felt like I could really relate to this book.

It made me want to fine my Zach, if he's out there.

Easily my top 1 or 2 read this year.
