**Review of *Star Circle* by Davis Bunn**

In *Star Circle*, the third book in the Rowan series, Davis Bunn crafts a compelling blend of fantasy and suspense. Set against the backdrop of a world in turmoil following a CIA attack on the mystical rowan tree, the story follows journalist Valentina Garnier as she navigates a landscape rich with ancient secrets and supernatural phenomena. The narrative revolves around her quest to uncover the truth about the rowan's powers, which are central to the fate of its community.

Bunn's writing is engaging, characterized by brisk pacing and vivid descriptions that bring both the setting and the characters to life. The interplay between the personal struggles of the Rowan community and the larger existential questions raised by their unique abilities adds depth to the story. Fans of urban fantasy will appreciate the well-developed world-building and the intriguing moral dilemmas faced by the characters.

Overall, *Star Circle* is a captivating read that skillfully intertwines themes of survival, power, and the search for identity in a rapidly changing world. It's a fitting continuation of the series that promises to keep readers invested until the very end.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I love a good blend of science fiction, thriller, and magical realism. This book had a really fast pace, and it was very well written. I loved the way that the characters were written, and how the book ended

Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!
