A very short book with few words, this is about a mole who tries on many different hats. Good for the younger toddler set.
Is That My Hat? is an adorable journey with our new friend, Mole, as they try to find the perfect hat that suits them best. Mole tries several hate, but none feel right, then sets out to see if they can find hat, but other's don't love them, or else they belong to someone else. Mole then gets the genius idea to make their own hat from things that bring them joy! The illustrations are winsome and the words are simple, yet engaging! We cannot wait to add this hardcover book to our home library!
Is That My Hat? follows the adventures of a mole looking for a hat to wear. This book is short, sweet, and would be perfect for reading in a classroom or at bedtime.

Is That My Hat? Is a book I would recommend for primary grades. The repetition of appropriate leveled words and phrases makes this a book to encourage independent reading for our younger readers.
Well, personally, I think Mole looks absolutely amazing in every hat he wears but I understand that he needs to find just the right one for his personality so that he feels like his very best Mole self.
This is a fun story to read with your Pre-K kids; it would pair magically with a hat party, with plenty of different fabulous hats to try on!

Such a cute book that kids will find engaging. Mole wants a hat and tries on many. He thinks he finds the perfect hat but no, not quite. He then decides to make his own. The ending is so funny.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
This is a cute story where mole is looking for different hats to wear. The words are few per page and predictable for young children to start to anticipate what might happen next.
The ending where mole makes his own hat could easily be extended into a classroom activity.
Thank you to NetGalley and sourcebook kids for allowing me to review a copy of this book.
This one has made it onto our rotation of books for my toddler. She loves the mole and is obsessed with hats. Definitely would recommend.
so fun to read this arc with my little, This was a very simple book wit simple illustrations of just mole and his hat. It was a quick read and kept my daughter engaged
Short & sweet, this book is perfect for toddlers learning their basic adjectives. An added bonus is the silliness, certain to keep little reader's and listener's attention.
I highly recommend this book and will definitely buy it for our home library if I see it in the wild!

So cute! This book is fun, creative, and absolutely perfect for little ones. It will keep them engaged for a while, and will definitely make them giggle. Additionally, Mole's creativity and problem-solving skills are infectious, and inspire readers to apply these behaviors to their own lives. The writing of this book is very simple, but that makes it perfect for younger readers. The story will still come across and the book will still be wildly entertaining, but will make more sense to little ones. This will allow them to get fully immersed in the story of Mole and his search for the perfect hat. Put simply, the author of this book understands how to use the "less is more" rule, and this choice paid off. Lastly, the illustrations were colored with both soft and vibrant colors, which matched the story like a glove. The relationship between the writing and illustrations also felt natural, meaning they came together flawlessly to form one cohesive book.
Bravo!
Is This My Hat? is a great emerging reader book that kiddos would be able to attempt on their own. The story is simple: Mole wants a hat, but can't find the perfect one, so he decides to make one! There are silly moments and cute illustrations to keep kids engaged. This would be a great bedtime book or starting book for emerging readers.
