Remember the lockdown during Covid-19? Well, this is a pandemic love story and it began something like How I Met Your Mother. We follow an engineer who was too busy to even make his apartment a home until he was told to work from home. His neighbour turned out to be a grad student studying archaeology who was also perky and seductive (for a nerd, I suppose).
I thought it was short and sweet. Although, admittedly, in the beginning it was quite boring, too many monologues by the main protagonist and he wasn’t exactly an exciting character. But it did get better and funnier. As for the translation, I’m not a big fan. Personally, I thought it could have been smoother. But not too bad.
Would I recommend it? Sure, if you’re looking for something short and sweet.

This manga is perfect if you're looking for something light-hearted, quick to read with a happy ending!
I personally loved this, I really enjoyed both of the main characters, Natsu being my favourite - I loved her personality.
This takes place during the COVID-19 Pandemic - Nokoru is working from home while Natsu studies from home (she's an archaeology student). They are neighbours and throughout the manga, they slowly fall in love with each other.
I would definitely recommend this!

Very cute, set in Japan in the times of Covid, I found it a nice way to describe a love story in the times of the pandemic, and since I've been obsessing over manga and anime lately, I hope they make it into an anime, even if it's short, because it's really very original. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this manga in exchange for my honest opinion.

Home Office Romance by Kintetsu Yamada is a closed-door, slices-of-life, opposites-attract, romance manga.
Just like the front cover, the artwork and drawing style was really good. If you like the style of Sweat and Soap, you'll like this too.
I think this is a great book and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet, slice-of-life, standalone romance.
Thank you, NetGalley, Kodansha Comics, and Kintetsu Yamada, for sending this book for review. All opinions are my own.

Home Office Romance is a super cute slice of life romance during COVID 19 pandemic. I enjoyed the grumpy sunshine relationship. I caught myself smiling while reading. Thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the advanced copy of this manga.

It was a cute romance graphic novel but I wasn’t connected with the characters.
The MMC was that lovable even our FC , I didn’t understand why she found him handsome at first but at the end , I loved how he acted..

Cute little manga about a Work from home romance during the pandemic. It was sweet! And I loved the illustrations.
The author definitely captured what it was like to feel isolated and also the feeling of maybe missing one’s chance to live their best life, due to the global lockdown.

super duper cute!! i really loved this manga, and i definitely want to read more of this genre. thank you so much for this galley, dear publisher!!

This manga really make me laugh.
It was an easy read, and it really shows how the pandemic affected our daily life and routine, and even how it affected our relationship with our work.
It’s a really nice story, two completely strangers becoming so much more.
I wished it was longer, only because I wanted to see more of them.
Thank you Netgalley for the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Home Office Romance is a cozy, sweet slice of life that anyone can enjoy in a day. Nokoru, finding the opportunity for work-life balance when forced to stay home after the Pandemic lockdown, meets his neighbor Natsu. She is a grad student in archeology and he used to have dreams of far away places and fantasy stories. Meeting on their adjoined balcony leads to changing their lives forever and a new adventure they both never expected.
I loved the previous series by this author (Sweat and Soap) and this story was a stand alone I was excited to read! It delivered the same voice and entertaining narrative as Kintetsu Yamada’s previous manga. The pacing at the end did feel a little fast, I couldn’t believe I had reached the end already, but it was a stand alone which changes the pace to a story. It was also the authors first stand alone and I think they did well with what they created.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed romance manga, slice of life stories, and quick satisfying reads.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the online copy of the manga to read and review!
"Home Office Romance" follows two neighbors who make their way living through the pandemic lockdown. In a time of illness and social distancing, the two were able to not only find a friendly connection, but also romance! I loved the subtle interactions and growth in feelings between the leads. As a fan of the mangaka's previous series "Sweat and Soap", I was excited to read this one, and it exceeded my expectations, especially in just one volume. I can't wait to read more by this creator!

What if two neighbours unexpectedly fall in love during the pandemic? This is the cute love story of Nokoru and Natsu, who find themselves wrapped up in the most unexpected romance amidst the pandemic. Slice of life books are my all time favourites but to add the aspect of the pandemic into it was a breathe of fresh air, even though that didn't factor into the story turning grim or anything.
Actually I thought it'd be a soppy romance novel with loads of mindless smut underneath that cute cover with almost zero plot but now I'm so pleasantly surprised. Nokoru an IT geek moves into an apartment amidst covid whilst working from home. He basically has the minimum furniture but has a good collection of manga and of course his fantasy themed balcony, which very quickly interests his neighbour. And from there on Nokoru is basically Natsu's manga supplying person and in turn Natsu brings him little gifts every week, which slowly escalates into a full blown romance by Christmas. Natsu who's an archeology student at the university, has to leave for fieldwork and Nokoru is left with her absence and that's when it hits him how much of the romance was real, I mean well the man is a little awestruck how he even managed to charm someone like Natsu.
This was such a sweet little delight to read, I read the entire book in almost one go. It's such an easy read and if you're looking for a quick palate cleanser or trying to get out of a slump, I think this is the perfect book for the reason.

A short and sweet romance, lovely to read through. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good cozy manga.

Very cute and relateable! Loved the art and the sweet storyline or two neighbors falling for each other while learning to love life again when the pandemic forces them to spend more time at home.

I truly loved the simple romance of neighbours in the story. I enjoyed his prospective and just seeing them falling in love through his unsure eyes. The moment where he traveled all the way to see her was so meaningful and I’m sure so many people have wanted to just drop everything and run to their love. And to find out the simple reason they became husband and wife was one of the most romantic things I’ve read. To know that that little title was the thing keeping you from answers so they just fixed it.

Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for providing this book for review consideration.
Home Office Romance was a lovely romantic manga about two neighbors finding love during lockdown. I loved the realistic depiction of our main characters’ lives and the growth of their relationship. The visual element added depth to the story and gave the readers a new way to process the story.

This is cuteeeee. I enjoyed this a lot, and I never would have requested it had it not been on read now so thats an absolute win

A good office romance that explores the diffrent characters in this situation. It was a fun and fast read.

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
This was so cute and sweet. The two main characters are neighbors who begin to get to know each other over the course of the mmc working from home and the other being a student. Their chemistry is easy and sweet. The guy is a bit slow on social queues from the woman, but the art really showcased how he worked through some of that so they could continue talking to each other.
This is a great read if you need a cozy short fluffy manga to cleanse your palate. Not much drama, just two hearts falling in love.
