This is a great start to a new series. I like the setting, the paranormal element, and the writing style.

Although I was not 100% a Landry fan because I found him to be quite scary maybe even to the extent of being a lunatic and I couldn't understand Mala getting romantically involved with him I still enjoyed the story for just the pure creep factor. I'm so happy the mystery and not the romance took center stage. The setting really made it even better!

I received an ARC from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. I started this book awhile ago, and put it down part of the way through, partly because I couldn’t get into it, partly because another book came out I was dying to read. This is Angie Sandro’s debut novel and while I tried to give it a fair chance I just found it an ok read. Mala and Landry just didn’t seem real to me and while I normal enjoy a great paranormal romance I couldn’t get into this one. I ended skimming this book just to finish it.

Sorry this is not my type of book to read. I was good if you love paranormal. I don't know what possessed me to request this book since I don't enjoy paranormal.
