This was such a warm hug! I loved Cooper and Madeleine’s story. Fake dating is my favorite trope and this really did not disappoint. There was so many tender moments and the chemistry was perfect.

This was exactly what I hoped for! It was so charming, and Cooper definitely deserved his own story. Honestly, what more could you ask for than to read about Cooper’s happy conclusion? Snowed Under, authored by Julianna Smith, is a companion piece to Baggage Claim.
I absolutely loved Cooper! He was incredibly kindhearted and deeply cared for those close to him. It was a joy to dive deeper into his character and watch him fall for Madeline. His feelings for her were intense from the start, and he was just this big, lovable guy who genuinely wanted to support her and her family. His challenge was figuring out how to show Madeline he cared and how to be there for her.
Madeline, on the other hand, was such a resilient character, and I enjoyed reading about her journey as well. She was doing everything she could to raise her niece and nephew like they were her own, and my heart went out to her as she struggled to manage it all. I admired how she could be her true self around Cooper. She had to learn to let him into her life and realize it was okay to accept help.
The dynamic between Madeline and Cooper was heartwarming. They balanced each other perfectly, like two halves of a whole. Their relationship unfolded at just the right pace—neither too fast nor too slow—as they both tried to figure out what being together really meant.
The kids were such a delight! They brought so much to the story. Charlie was so thoughtful, while Piper had a great sense of humor. I loved how they interacted with both Cooper and Madeline. It added a whole new layer of cuteness to the story. Cooper’s mom, Finn, and Olive were also wonderful characters to revisit. But, wow, Madeline’s parents really got under my skin!
If you’re looking for a fun romantic comedy, I’d definitely recommend Snowed Under. It’s a sweet, clean romance with a few cheeky moments, perfect for a PG-13 audience.

4.5 ⭐️

this was genuinely just such a wholesome read. I loved every second of cooper & madeline’s story!! they were incredibly sweet & the banter between the two & easy going friendship was so precious.

cooper was just a sweet & fun loving guy with a heart of gold & madeline just loved so fiercely & wanted to prove she could be more! they were easily so meant to be & I thoroughly enjoyed watching them realize it on their own. in hopes, to help the ski lodge because it both meant a lot to them, fake dating seemed like the perfect answer & it was so sweet & genuine to each other. Cooper didn’t even realize his life was missing something until Madeline walked into it & he immediately knew he was in for the ride, no matter what.

Mini Coop & Half Pint were also big parts of the story & I freaking loved those kids by the end. also really made me wanna have a disney marathon & eat Sham Jams.

the ONLY thing & reason I gave it 4.5 stars was bc I REALLY, REALLY wanted a scene of Madeline sticking it to her parents & some major groveling on their parts, because THEY DID HER WRONG & Madeline deserved BETTER.

“You are valuable. He left them for you.”

Cooper needs to save his family ski lodge and asks Madeline to be his fake girlfriend for a magazine article.

Snowed Under is a companion novel to Baggage Claim and Wow, I really loved it. I didn't think I'd like anyone as much as Finn, but then I met Cooper.

The chemistry between Cooper and Madeline was off the chart. These two were destined to be together. Cooper using Mini Coop to chat up Madeline was a great first meeting, and it had me chuckling. The "not dates" were really cute, and the feedback emails were a fun addition. Mini Coop and Half Pint really added to the story it was great to see the small ways in which Cooper bonded with them.
I also liked that both MC's are in their 30's and actually acted as such.

This was a super cute wintery read, but it also had me tearing up at points. The epilogue finished this little series off perfectly. Definitely add this one to your tbr.

Thank you NetGalley, ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and Juliana Smith for the early access copy of Snowed Under.

To say I’m sad to have finished this book is an understatement. I devoured this story in a day and wish I could read more about Cooper and Madeline’s story. Both Madeline and Cooper’s character development were amazing to follow. Madeline was given custody of both her niece and nephew after her only brother and his wife passed, leaving her to figure out parenthood, school, and grief all at once. Cooper is determined to keep his family’s business at a ski lodge prosperous after the passing of his grandfather’. When a family magazine approaches Cooper to write about the lodge, he is thrust into a situation that only Madeline can solve.

With witty banter, realistic family situations, golden retriever energy, and amazing chemistry between the main characters, it is hard to leave this literary world behind. This is a cozy, winter romance worth the read.

This book was like a big warm hug. I loved every moment of Cooper + Madeline’s story. It’s beautiful, heartwarming and witty while having deeper, more emotional aspects and an engaging plot that had me invested from the start. If you enjoy a romcom with a side of fake dating and some seriously cute kids, this is a must read.

Cooper needs a wife + kids for an article he agreed to in order to help his family’s ski resort and Madeline is perfect for the role. The fact he’s attracted to her and half way in love with her kids is a bonus. After losing her brother, she becomes guardian to her nephew and niece and after some convincing agrees. It’s all fake, until they spend time together and get to know each other below the surface.

I did not expect to get as emotional as I did reading this but I loved the way the Cooper + Madeline helped one another with grief, healing and in her case, finding herself again. It was all handled beautifully and I loved their open communication and get-to-know-you games.

Cooper had me in fits of giggles so many times with his antics but when it came to Madeline he was pure mush. The relationship he built with the kids, Mini Coop especially, was a highlight for me and I loved their moments.

We also get plenty of Finn + Olive cameos here which I enjoyed and I adored the little tribe they all made together.

Y’all, this book was everything! I adored it! Cooper may just be my fav MMC I’ve read in a long time!! The connection between Cooper and Madeline was perfect-their conversations, humor, banter, fake dating-it was all perfect. Don’t be fooled by the cover! This one will pull on your heart strings…I did cry! 🥹 I could not put it down and I loved the story! This one deserves all the stars!

I quite enjoyed the opposites attract and the dynamic between the love interests in this book! This was a book I could quickly dive into and I enjoyed most of it. I can’t say I fully loved this book, but still one I enjoyed reading.

In order to save his family's ski lodge, Cooper suggests Madeline becomes his fake girlfriend. Getting her meddlesome family off her back about finding a boyfriend, Madeline agrees.

This is fake dating at its finest. Madeline and Cooper were such a cute couple together. Their chemistry was electric and the kids were adorable supporting characters. The epilogue was fantastic too and really drove the story home!

this one was so goooood. i love me a fake finance story. the story was beautiful between the two main characters.

Ummm, this is exactly what I wanted! It was so cute and Cooper definitely needed his own book. I mean what more could a girl want but to read about Cooper’s happy ending. Snowed Under is written by Julianna Smith and it is a companion novel to Baggage Claim.
I adored Cooper! He was just the sweetest and he really cared for those in his circle. I loved getting to know more about him and seeing him fall for Madeline. He fell fast and hard. He was such a big teddy bear and he really wanted to help Madeline and her family. Cooper had to figure out how to show Madeline that he cared and what it looked like to help her.
Madeline was so strong and I loved reading about her too. She was doing her best to care for her niece and nephew as her own. I really felt for her as she tried to balance everything. I loved how she could be herself with Cooper. She had to learn to let Cooper in and that it was okay to need help.
I loved reading about Madeline and Cooper together. They helped balance each other and became like partners. The romance was kind of slow burn but kind of not, both Madeline and Cooper were just trying to figure out what a relationship would look like.
The kids were so much fun! They really added to the book. I love how kind and considerate Charlie was and Piper was so funny. I loved their interactions with Cooper and Madeline. It was just the cutest thing. I adored Cooper’s mom and Finn and Olive. It was so cool to see old characters again. But oh my goodness, Madeline’s parents made me so mad.
I would totally recommend Snowed Under. Snowed Under is a closed door romantic comedy with some innuendos about PG-13.

Highlights:
Golden retriever/ black cat
Single parent
He takes care of her
Skiing
Friends
Finding yourself
Falling in love
Non-date nights

Passionate kissing, death of a sibling mentioned, parental trauma

This book may be my new favorite of Juliana's! Cooper is a ski instructor who needs a fake family to help save his families ski lodge. Madeline is the guardian to her niece and nephew going through nursing school and works at the ski lodge. Once Cooper sees Madeline picking her nephew up from his ski lesson Cooper does everything he can to get her to say yes to being his fake fiancee.

Cooper and Madeline's story was so beautiful and I just loved these two so much. These two had so much chemistry and their banter was amazing. The "not dates" were so cute and you could see how much Cooper truly cared about Madeline and the kids throughout this whole book. These two were meant to be together and I just loved their relationship!

This book was amazing and I loved everything about it. 🤩 It was sad and had me crying, but it was also really cute, fun and heart warming!
And oh, the man that you are, Cooper Graves. <3
When Cooper saw Madeline „for the first time“ and tried to flirt with her, that was my favourite scene. 😄

I loved how he encouraged Madeline wherever he could, how he always hyped her up and how he was always there for her and the kids. (loved the kids!) It was so heartwarming to read about them becoming their own little family.
Family does come in all different forms and shapes.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! ⛷️

Cooper needs a fake fiancée for an article to save the ski lodge. He’s a children’s ski instructor and sees a kid that reminds him a lot of himself, mini coop. He then meets Charlie’s aunt and falls for her!

Madeleine has been the guardian to her niece and nephew since her brother passed away. She’s in nursing school and a housekeeper at the lodge. She doesn’t have time to date, but Cooper is going to get her to help him.

I loved their not dates, the drive in especially! Cooper helped Madeleine find herself again and stand up to her parents. Although he doesn’t think he can be a father, he spoils those kids!
This was a great closed door romance ⛷️🎿

This is my first Juliana Smith read and I really enjoyed it. I adored Madeline and Cooper and had such a good time reading this one.

ARC Review: Snowed Under by Juliana Smith

*Snowed Under* by Juliana Smith is a heartwarming opposites-attract romance that brings together humor, warmth, and two lovable characters navigating the chaos of fake dating and real feelings. Set against the charming backdrop of a small-town ski lodge, this story is both playful and tender, perfect for those who love a romance that’s as cozy as it is layered.

**Madeline Sage** has been through a lot. A nursing student juggling multiple jobs while caring for her two young nieces, she’s a single aunt who’s feeling the weight of her responsibilities and loss. When her overbearing mother insists she needs a man in her life, Madeline impulsively enlists **Cooper Graves**, her nephew’s ski coach, to play the role of her fake boyfriend. She needs someone who can ease her mother’s worries, and Cooper’s got the charm to pull it off.

**Cooper** is no stranger to putting up a front. Trying to redeem his wild past and keep his family’s ski lodge afloat, he’s desperate for positive publicity and agrees to a magazine feature that will hopefully attract visitors. The only catch? To get that family-friendly angle, he needs a wife and kids by his side. Enter Madeline and her nieces—the perfect temporary family to complete his story.

As they navigate their fake relationship, **Madeline and Cooper’s chemistry is undeniable**. Their relationship begins with playful banter and sparks of attraction but quickly develops into something genuine as they learn to lean on each other and open up about their struggles.

**Microtropes to enjoy**:
- **Opposites attract**: Madeline’s cautious nature contrasts perfectly with Cooper’s outgoing charm.
- **Fake dating**: What starts as a harmless ruse quickly becomes filled with real emotions.
- **Found family**: Both characters find comfort in one another, redefining their ideas of family.
- **Single guardian struggles**: Madeline’s devotion to her nieces adds depth and warmth to the story.
- **Healing through love**: Both protagonists are burdened by loss, and their connection helps them heal.

Smith balances the romance with genuine emotional depth as Madeline and Cooper work through their personal struggles. Madeline is hesitant, scarred by past trauma and unsure if she can afford to let anyone else in, while Cooper is trying to break free from a history he’s still at odds with. Their journey toward healing and happiness feels authentic, making their love story both inspiring and uplifting.

**Rating**: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 (4.5 stars)
**Verdict**: *Snowed Under* is a beautiful, feel-good romance that wraps you in warmth and holiday charm. Perfect for fans of fake dating, found family, and emotional growth, this book is like a cozy winter escape with a side of heart-fluttering romance.
