Wow. This book goes from one over the top, door flung wide open, smexy time to the next. Clearly not meant to have a lot of depth here, but the characters were interesting. I appreciated the math focus. I just had a little ick with the large age gap and essentially underage FMC.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this

I'm not usually the biggest fan of professor/student relationships but decided to give this one a go, and I'm so glad I did!

The perfect blend of moody and feisty, James and Kiernan's relationship - even with the taboo age gap - just worked so well.

The spice is great, and I loved the banter between the unlikely pair.

There were definitely some over the top scenes, but it was a quick and thoroughly enjoyable read.

Thank you to the publisher for an advance copy of this book via Netgalley.

McGrath Made Moves

James and Kiernan initially left me dumbfounded and speechless. This Math duo was infinitely filled with sass and spice. The limit does not exist. The banter back and forth for was so well matched it had me thinking ‘what age gap?’.

Student/teacher relationships in real life: No. In Tenure: YES!

These pages should have caught on fire with how fast they were turning! Definitely one that has you sad it ended and leaves you wanting more. But the ending was pretty priceless.

I was sent an advanced reader copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review. Thank you to Violet Pearce and Victory Editing for providing this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Wow! This book had such blush worthy spice! Tenure was heavy on the spice and delightfully light on the plot which was a perfect combination for a great read! This novella follows the intoxicating affair between a James, a math professor and Kiernan, his bright, ambitious student. I’m not usually an age gap lover, but this book may have changed that for me!

From the very first chapter, the chemistry between the characters is palpable. The witty banter gave the dialogue flair and made interactions not only hot but also entertaining. Kiernan was fiercely determined and refreshingly bold. She had no issue putting James in his place and I really loved that about her.

Overall, Tenure was a delightful read for anyone looking to escape with a spicy romance. It’s a perfect blend of witty dialogue and passionate, blush worthy moments. The character’s strong chemistry and the spice between them was top tier! If you’re in the mood for a fun and hot romp that pushes boundaries, this book should definitely be on your reading list!

Holy moly. This book was on fire. If you love an enemies to lovers. Age gap and completely forbidden book filled with dirty smut this is the book for you. There’s a 20+ year age gap between the FMC and MMC the FMC is 17 which did make me uncomfortable but I overall did enjoy their dynamic their whole hate to want you vibe totally hit it’s teacher student and completely filthy. I tore this book up thank you for the free ARC copy of this book.

this novella was extreme spicy and fast pace and i was in love. the BANTER between kiernan and james was amazing. i am a sucker for an age gap and a taboo romance that has professor/student and this book had it all. i love kiernan and james chemistry that they had and i think incorporating all the math aspects and showing just how smart kiernan is was something i enjoyed. an intelligent FMC that knows what she’s talking about is admiring. the whole circle moment of her finding a mistake in the book james co-wrote to the end of the book with her co-writing a book put a smile on my face

SPICY!!! This was a fun read. It is full of spice and mathematics. I really enjoyed the mathematics aspect even if it wasn't all necessarily perfectly correct or understandable for a normal person. James and Kiernan are one HOT topic for discussion. Student and professor relationship with a major age gap. It also just can't be avoided. They are just drawn to each other. I loved Kiernan and her fierce mouth. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind at all. I loved it!

I’m usually not a fan of novellas, but damn!!!! I devoured this in just a couple of days! This is a fast paced and VERY smutty taboo age gap romance. If you are looking for a fast read with 80% smut this is the book for you and it will not disappoint!! The banter between Kiernan and James makes this book 100x better.

Oh wow, Tenure by Violet Pierce left me absolutely breathless! I'm still reeling from the heat and might just need a cold shower (and some extra batteries!) to recover. Initially, I wasn't sure if I’d get into it—being a high school teacher myself, I had my reservations about the taboo of a 17-year-old girl and her nearly 40-year-old university professor. But five chapters in? Let's just say, all those concerns vanished.

I was hooked—no way could I put this book down. Pierce masterfully ends each chapter with just the right amount of tension, keeping you flipping the pages deep into the night. And James? He’s every bit the dominant, brooding alpha you can’t help but be drawn to. I’d even consider braving a university math course just to get closer to someone like him (and believe me, math isn’t my thing!).

Violet Pierce knows her readers, and she delivers exactly what we want. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for her next release—she's now a must-read author for me!

This will be posted on Goodreads, Amazon and Instagram. Instagram on November 1st in the evening.

From the start it has a great hook , the author makes you want to keep reading to see where this conversation is going to go ! “ I guess god sent all the smart pretty people to the same fucking school.” -Funny internal dialogue , it’s written as if it is someone’s fantasy . A student and an older forbidden teacher , what will happen ? I am not a math lover , I thought that might be something I would dislike from this book but somehow the author give you enough to know it’s hard math but not too much to lose you or bore you . My only cautionary note is the age difference between the two main characters. All in all is was a quickly moving spicy erotic read and I enjoyed the ending ! Thank you to those who allowed me to be an ARC reader for this book I enjoyed it !

Okay, first off, I’ve read a lot of romance. Like, a lot a lot. I’ve been reading romance since middle school at least. I have NEVER been so horribly jealous of any book relationship, the way I am for the one between Kiernan and James. I would kill to have someone in my corner this hard. I don’t think anyone is prouder of Kiernan than James is.

Now, this is a bit of a speed run, but it’s a novella and that’s expected. I never once found myself rolling my eyes at any scene or dialogue, the way I find myself doing with speed runs sometimes. It’s really hard to 0 to 300 a relationship without something seeming a little stupid, but this one does it really well.

It’s smut heavy, but it Such. Good. Smut.

God, I’m going to go cry into my pillow and contemplate my singleness

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me with an ARC and allowing me to provide my honest review

This has now become my favorite novella, I swear! The way I was blushing and had butterflies in my tummy 🤭
Usually this age gap would having me scrapping it. BUT I was so hooked and the author made it work! I couldn’t put it down. Banter was 10/10. Their chemistry was off the charts. Sometimes novellas don’t seem reasonable because of the “insta-love,” but this was done so well and made me believe it and it just all worked. The epilogue had me giddy haha. I didn’t want it to end! All around loved it.

Wow! This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I loved the banter between the characters. This book is a very fast burn and very spicy! I really enjoyed all the obstacles that came up during the book. I can't wait to read more by Violet Pearce!

This novella was everything that you could ever want in a spicy, taboo, age gap romance. If you are here for the plot, this book is not the book for you. If you are looking for spice and insane chemistry, look no further. The mouth on Professor James and the witty remarks that Kiernan makes are everything. Their banter is top tier and will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this book if you are looking purely for spice and no plot whatsoever. Violet Pearce definitely delivers the student/professor spice piping hot.

14% in and I was begging for a whole series of this book. I'm all for a book that starts going from the very first page and this was IT. I need more of James ASAP. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was pure spice from start to finish. I loved how quickly things progressed, it was exactly what I needed from a spicy novella. The characters were very aggressive with each other on a mental level, leading to some really hot exchanges, there was great banter and I love how rough they could be with each other. I would have loved an extra chapter or two at the end. I’m so excited to see what else this author has in store.

Smutty, smutty, smutty!

A really short, SPICY read that I needed. The story is very simple, but I honestly really liked it. The forbidden, and I mean REALLY forbidden romance had me in a chokehold. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was how fast the book moved. I know, that's hard to criticize when the book is so short, but I could have done with 2 or three more chapters!

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the arc!

It's been a while since I so enjoyed a book I rated it 5 stars.
Tenure is a delicious, hot, spicy novella featuring a forbidden/taboo trope. James is a college professor, and Kiernan is a 17-year-old student who enrolled early - only for his class. He is reaching 40.
While I'm not usually a fan of underage characters in books, Kiernan was a strong, mature person, and by her actions, you'd never know that she was still in high school.
I absolutely love their banter and how Kiernan stood up for her words, leaving James speechless. They completed each other so well that I couldn't put the book down.
I can't wait to read more by this author

Unfortunately, this was not for me. I love taboo, age gap, forbidden & student/professor.
However the FMC was not even in college. She was high school. I was hoping she was MINIMUM 18 but she wasn’t. She was 17.
I just can’t read about a 17 year old with a 40 year old and he didn’t even ask her age until after he hooked up with her. Then didn’t really care, he hooked up with her again immediately after finding out.
