This was genuinely interesting and morally probing. While at times the story felt a little lost with so many subplots and names (and narrators), I felt there was still a good narrative thread and enjoyment, and the setting was really interesting! An important book for these divisive times.

I enjoyed the immersion into Jewish summer camp, but the book was too long and disjointed with the 'minor' plotlines and character voices combined with Ruby and the 'major' plotline. The book has something to say, but it never quite commits.
