Tommy Siegel’s Candy Hearts comics reveal the most awkward and amusing truths about relationships, and since their viral debut in 2020, the inner world of Candy Hearts has only gotten stranger. This new collection of Candy Hearts comics explores topics like commitment, cohabitation, family dynamics, pets, dating apps, and wedding planning.
This simple cartoon collection of Candy Hearts transversing the world of romance is surprisingly funny.
My favorite of the collection is the dating app profiles. Each shows the basic profile while the truth is illustrated on the Candy heart. Very hard not to find something you can relate to or something to make you chuckle. Equal as well done as volume one.

Thanks to @Netgalley and Andrew McNeel Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.
Perfect for the romance cynic in your life (that being me for this case). Very amusing, I think the Mario panel was my favorite. Hightly recommend for a good chuckle

The premise is so simple (candy hearts as people doing regular things) but so SO funny!! I loved reading this and cracked up so much!

Cute and you laugh because it's true. The mean true things were my ex and the sweet true things are my new guy. Scary how spot on this book was.
3, cute quick read that hit very close to the mark more than it missed, stars.
My thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an eARC of this book to read and review.

I've come across the artist's work over internet platforms before, so I was excited to get into this collection.
But, while I particularly liked the Move In and Wedding series in the book, I expected way more laughs from the 120 pages provided

Summary:
The latest installment of Candy Hearts is here, and it’s a collection of comics never seen before (even for online readers). Their adventures include family dynamics, pets, wedding planning, dating apps, and more. Though not in that order! Tune in for relatable relationship humor.
Review:
They’re back! I love these Candy Hearts and all the relatable humor they bring to the forefront. Anyway, The Secret Lives of Candy Hearts is reading, whether you’re a longstanding fan or just found the series.
Tommy Siegel does a great job of capturing humanity’s little funny moments. This makes for a realistic slice-of-life comic that is so much fun. Every page is (usually) a standalone story connected to the larger Candy world in true slice-of-life fashion. It’s a simple formula, but it works great.
In truth, more than one page had me nearly crying from laughter. I know not every page made me feel that way, but I did enjoy the overall journey, with those highs and all. It’s a great read and would make a cute gift for the upcoming (romantic) holiday.

This was so frigging hilarious I 😂 for most of the book. It is absolutely brilliant, especially the tinder/dating app ones.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
I love this genre of comics. This one was so relatable and so funny. Blasted through in a single sitting and kept sending my husband screenshots and saying "seems familiar?".
Apparently there is another one of these with the candy hearts, and I desperately need it. I also need this one physically on my coffee table.
Final ranking and star rating?
5 stars, S tier. So funny and relatable. I loved this one. Highly recommend it to everyone.

This was an interesting concept worth a few chuckles. The cynical tone becomes a bit predictable at times, but if that’s your jam, then it’s worth a read.

Drawing comics is hard. Drawing a series of comics that all follow the same formula without it getting repetitive is harder. These are fine! But that's it.

I enjoyed reading this book and I was laughing so hard while reading it, it’s humorous and so true in the same time 😂😂✨

Very original and funny. The candy hearts make for creative commentary. This collection will definitely surprise some laughs out of you while simultaneously being very relevant to everyday experiences.

You don't realize how much you need an easy, humorous read until you make your way through books like this. Some of the inner thoughts (or I guess outer printing) was so relatable it was like looking at myself and my partner in a mirror. I too am guilty of fact-checking life knowledge, and I was thoroughly amused by this shared universal perspective I was given page after page. I also enjoyed the story narrative of moving in and marriage as a juxtaposition to the one-shot, single panel, quick jokes, and it made everything immensely more enjoyable. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the physical version, and now must read Tommy Siegel's other works as well. If you need a chuckle and some anthropomorphized thoughts, grab this book for sure!
Thank you Tommy Siegel, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and NetGalley for the ARC!

Hilarious and painfully accurate! 😂 This is an enjoyable collection of reflections about love, life, relationships and the dating scene, with some pop culture references thrown in. I like the use of candy hearts instead of people with faces. A cute and fun read that gave me a good laugh!

This book was very humorous and entertaining. I thought each scenario was relatable and funny, and it was a quick read. I would definitely check out more books like this one, even just a sequel.

I never imagined that a picture book could make me laugh so much! This book navigates all stages of relationships from online dating, new relationships, moving in together, engagement, wedding planning, married couples, Movie couples and more. As someone in the dating world myself, I related to so many of these. The illustrations are really cute and colorful too. It was so quick to get through and so fun to read!

This was super cute and funny. I would love if candy hearts said some of the things that were written in this book. Witty and relatable you’ll be sure to love it.

If Candy Hearts could talk, they would say some crazy things. This book was like what the heck! One heart would have something nice on it, while the other one would not. This is realistic to the way people think sometimes. This book will give you a laugh for sure. The art was also very cute for what the book was, everything went together very well.

I loved this graphic novel. My favorite holiday candy is Sweethearts. I love the comical messages on the hearts and I now follow the author on Instagram which is loaded with candy heart conversations.

I picked this book up on a whim and I'm so glad I did. This is a selection of the creators Candy Hearts comics, which seem a bit familiar but I'm not sure if I've read any of them before. Humorous glimpses into what may be going on inside a person's head in different moments like watching TV together, walking the dog, or eating alone in a restaurant. Perfect for a coffee table book!
