Sweet little read about a bunny making tea for himself when he keeps getting interrupted by other animals. Eager to share, the bunny soon finds himself serving tea to everyone but him! Bunny soon finds the other animals are thankful and repay him for his kindness! Simple storyline, lovely illustrations, and a good lesson on sharing and friendship. This is definitely one to cuddle up with during the winter months with young children!
This was cute and very simple - definitely a good fit for toddlers or for kids learning to read. A nice message about sharing and that giving comes back around to you. The illustrations are adorable!
What a sweet story! I really enjoyed the art style and atmosphere. A probably too-kind bunny keeps trying to make tea for himself but visitors come and he shares all his tea, but then they thank and share with him.
What a sweet story about a bunny and her love for tea. All the cottagecore mamas this one’s for you.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the E-ARC.
A very short but sweet read about tea and sharing. I absolutely adored the art style and as a lover of tea myself, could see myself gifting this at a baby shower or reading to my own children someday.
I read this adorable little book to my son while next to my bunny, who decidedly can’t make tea. My son and I both thought that the book was cute, though short. We both wished it were longer but it really was adorable and had a very sweet ending.
Bunny Made Tea by Amanda Baehr Fuller is a children's picture book about a bunny that makes tea and his friends who drinks the tea too! I found the illustrations to be cute, especially when the bunny reacted to others asking to drink his tea before he could. The plot of this book pushed the idea of sharing to its readers. It is simple and short, making it ideal for young children who are still learning to speak and read and struggle to sit still for long periods of time.
However, I found the story a bit repetitive and wished the bunny would do more than make tea, like a cake or a different type of beverage!
Overall, I loved the illustrations of this story and the author's ability to in few words convey the idea of sharing.
Thank you, NetGalley and Owlkids Books, for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
Bunny Made Tea is a delightfully illustrated book about a bunny who just wants some tea. Pretty simple, right? The story starts off with our friend Bunny searching the meadow for the perfect ingredients to make a cuppa. After brewing, a surprise visitor comes and drinks all the tea. The story continues with more tea-making and more visitors drinking tea, but no tea for Bunny. All is not lost and our Bunny friend gets rewarded for his hospitality. The simple illustrations will engage the youngest readers and the lessons of generosity will resonate with all readers.
I enjoyed this quiet, beautifully illustrated book. Bunny’s story shares a message of kindness and giving to others, while also taking time to take care of yourself. Lovely story for bedtime or to share with tea!
As a tea-loving human obsessed with children's books, I'm completely in love! This one is a super simple picture book that's perfect for our youngest readers (2 - 4 years?). The book is heavily dependent on its (gorgeous!) illustrations with very little text, yet still manages to convey an incredibly valuable lesson. The perfect choice for a toddler-snuggle-storytime!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!
Darling story with beautiful illustrations. I love how the story showed Bunny continually sharing her tea with unexpected guests. Although the book is a very simple to read, the story and illustrations are perfect for teaching children to share with others.
One rainy, blustery, day, Bunny decides to make some tea--gathering ingredients from around the garden and savoring the smells as it brews. Before Bunny can try the tea, neighbor Opossum arrives and so Bunny offers her a spot of tea. Opossum likes the tea so much, she drinks the whole pot! That's ok...Bunny can brew another pot. Not long after, Opossum returns with her babies in tow...and well, Bunny does what any good neighbor would do.
With simple words, a poetic timbre, and absolutely beautiful art, this cozy little book is perfect for beginning readers (3-6 years old) who will learn the importance of placing others first as well as the golden rule (do unto others...). My only (teeny tiny) complaint is that--at 32 pages--I thought the story would be longer. That being said, this children's book makes excellent use of its space with full color pages that charm the senses. Readers will spend time with Bunny throughout the day, in different kinds of weather, getting ready to enjoy the warmth, smells, and comfort of a cup of tea with friends.
A short, simple, warm/delicately illustrated book with a message about friendship & sharing. It's quite cute, with very little in the way of text......probably perfect for little kids. I did like it & would recommend it for every library, private & public! It's cute, & just.....very nice!
I received a complimentary e-ARC from publisher Owlkid Books via NetGalley, giving me a chance to read it & post my own fair/honest review.
Oh my goodness, this book was so cute! My daughter and I had a great time reading this together. It was as hilarious as it was impactful. I can't wait to get the physical book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Owlkids Books for my gifted copy of Bunny Made Tea by Amanda Baehr Fuller.
A cute picture book with very few words. Perfect as a baby book or very early reader. The illustrations are vivid and go along with the story. Great talking points throughout to help young children get excited for reading.
I received a complimentary copy of this book "Bunny Made Tea" and all opinions expressed are my own. A very cute book. I did love the illustrations and the story. Thank you! I don't usually request childrens books but I had to with this white bunny on the cover. I am crazy about white bunnies! (a sign that I requested from my husband after he passed away was to send me white bunnies)
This book was given to me through Netgalley for my honest review. I want to thank Netgalley, the Author, and the Publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
This is a cute little picture book. There are very few words definitely appropriate for a child just learning to read. Especially since most reading is now done by sight rather than sounding out. It's also very easy for a child to be able to figure out what is happening without the story being read to them. This is a cute little picture book. I think it is great for small children.
Beautifully illustrated. This is a very short story about a bunny who continues to make tea, share it out with other animals before partaking, and make more until the surprise ending.
The lack of words does leave it open for young readers to discuss what they think is happening and what the bunny and other animals are feeling, but also makes the story best suited for young toddlers age 1-3.
It did feel very similar to “Dozens of Doughnuts” by Carrie Finson, which is more in the 3-7 age range.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy.
A sweet story. Cute illustrations. Teaches the lessons of hospitality and friendship. I was blessed with a free ARC, and I’m voluntarily leaving my review.
I love this so much! The art is adorable. A great story about sharing. I would have loved reading this to my kids when they were little.
