This is such a great continuation of the Stormlight Archive, and I seriously can’t wait to get the rest of the story! For the narration, Michael Kramer and Kate Reading's voices feel like familiar friends after listening to them narrate so many of Sanderson’s books. As always, they have done a fantastic job with Wind and Truth, bringing these characters to life and engaging their listeners with dynamic, emotive character voices.

I will only be reviewing a portion of the book as I received only an excerpt of the audiobook.
Stormlight Archive is my favorite ongoing fantasy stories with rich world building, compelling characters, and a well developed magic system.
The audiobook version is rich and immersive and the narrators do a good job in keeping the readers engaged.
I appreciate the focus on Szeth and Kaladin and have begun developing my theories for the conclusion of this first arc.

It almost seems redundant and unnecessary to try to explain how much I've looked forward to this book. As the midpoint of The Stormlight Archive, a lot of revelatory story line is expected. And this extended except didn't disappoint.

However, more than the story, I found myself really enjoying the character developments that are happening in book five. If there was any doubt before that The Cosmere is meant to be a mirror on our own worlds, lives, and societies, Wind and Truth quickly clears that up.

Now I just have to wait until December to hear the rest!

Wind and Truth kicks off right after Rhythm of War, launching us into an epic countdown to some huge events in the Stormlight series. Sanderson’s world-building is as sharp as ever, with character arcs that really hit home. The narration is top-notch too, capturing the scale of Kaladin and Dalinar’s journeys perfectly. This feels like the start of a brilliant end to the first arc—can't wait for the rest of the audiobook!

Brandon can do no wrong and I need the rest now ... almost a month left and I'm just on the edge of my seat for this conclusion I don't want it to end

This is an excellent continuation of a wonderful saga, although I haven't been able to read the whole book I am positive this will please avid Sanderson fans. The narration is as always, exceptional.

Beyond excited for the culmination of this arc of Stormlight. Beautiful narration that conveys the greatness of this story. I cannot wait to get my hands on the final copy and to see where Kaladin's adventure takes him and the culmination of Dalinar V Todium.

Wind and Truth continues after Rhythm of War. It is the end of the first arc that is the overall story of this ten book series and, as the story begins, we are set in a 9 day countdown to what will be some very big events.

Brandon Sanderson's ability to pull together such an intricate world with such a fascinating cast of characters continues to deliver in Wind And Truth. Through this excerpt, you know that big events are about to unfold as you try to piece together everything that we have gotten as information int eh last four books, as well as the entire Cosmere.

Really looking forward based on this excerpt alone and I know this will be an epic finale to this first arc of the series as we learn more about the entire universe that surrounds Roshar and learn more about the heralds and shards.

The story is excellent as always for Brandon Sanderson.
Michael Kramer is also an excellent narrator, as always.
Kate Reading - I'm sorry, but her voice sounds terrible. It's hoarse and really difficult to listen to. I have been listening to Kate Reading as a narrator for many years - and this is different. Very gravelly and hoarse. This is going to be the very first Brandon Sanderson book that I don't buy in audio. I dnfed it. It was either that, or skip all of Kate Reading's parts.

Dalinar….oh Dalinar….what are you doing man? This audiobook is cruel and wonderful at the same time. It’s cruel because I didn’t get the entire book and that’s so tragic! However, as per usual TOR killed it with this one, as did B. Sanderson. The narration is spot on! The story is to die for, and I can say I have a feeling the back half is going to be unforgettable. Don’t skip out on book 5.

This excerpt was good. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the book. There was a small part that I didn't enjoy. So far this character whom has attractions to the same sex has not been the main part of the story line. I really hope he doesn't become part of the main characters, that would most likely cause me to stop listening to the rest of the series. It is hard to review just a part of this book, as there is so much more. So, I am looking forward to how this book continues.

Wow! Given that this was only part of the book… I knew this would be torture. How am I expected to wait until December to finish the story!! Per usual, the story telling is phenomenal and the characters are perfection. This has quickly become my favorite fantasy.

I could not recommend this series and this newest book more! The narration was brilliant.

Only got my paws on the first 15 hours of "Wind and Truth" by Brandon Sanderson. I wonder if the person who said I could break into Macmillan offices, on the condition it is unnecessarily elaborate, remembers that deal and it is still in effect. Because I am now more feral than I was before I read it.

Having a plan to stop Odium is great, 10 days and then the champions will fight. Thing is no one knows that (spoilers for Rhythm of War) Taravangian now holds that Shard and he isn't bound to the same rules. Kaladin is doing as well as can be, aside from Teft, and is being sent with Szeth to try and convince the crazy Herald/God-king in Azir to help them. That will be a fun trip and not awkward at all. Shallan, Renarin, and Relain start on a path to find out the truth behind the Knight Radiants of old breaking their paths and killing their spren and it's convection to the enslavement of the Singers. Our resident Bondsmiths are keeping it light, figuring out what killed god.

Narrated by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, smashed it again you two. If you got the other 40 hours of audio laying around I will bribe you with animal pictures from my job.

Reasons to read:
-Look of you are this deep in the Cosmere you are going to read it
-Stonewards getting some page time (woo!)
-If you haven't read the Cosmere, or at least the Stormlight Archives, get the heck out of here, you'd be wildly confused. Definitely worth the time investment
-We are just tossing around answers to things from Mistborn and other works like candy
-Hope you read the Secret Projects
-Pain, some real good knife twists in there

Cons:
-I now know things. The people I bounce theories off of for these books haven't read this and I just have to sit here and not give spoilers to folks.

This excerpt it's really good, the voices are on point with the scenes and it just leaves you wanting so much more !!

Absolutely perfect. Great narration and this excerpt definitely makes me want the book NOW. This series is a huge time investment but 100% worth the hype

Let me preface this review by saying that it covers only the first 33 Chapters and 3 Interludes that I received as a sample of this sizable volume and I will update with a review of the entire book sometime shortly after publication. I assume that Brandon Sanderson and his epic Stormlight Archive series needs no introduction to any fans of SFF unless they have been living under a rock for the last decade, but for those who have not gotten around to reading this series and enjoy sweeping epics with fantastic world building and interesting characters, find your way to The Way of Kings and join us on Roshar. And for those that have diligently been following the tales of Dalinar Kholin, Kaladin, Shallan, and their friends and enemies; eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the first subseries of Stormlight Archive...it is upon us. The beginning of the book refamiliarizes readers with the characters and sets the stage for the impending confrontation. We are reacquainted with the players, reappraised of the stakes, and reaffirmed in our commitment to reaching an epic showdown. The pacing was just right to savor this final tome of this cherished series but not too slow to draw away interest. I came at this book with mixed feeling, sadness for the ending of a series that I've very much enjoyed, but excitement to see how it all plays out. This preview served to strengthen both of those emotions. It was a taste of what is coming but it definitely left me wanting more.
My sample was in the audiobook format, which was a pleasant listen. Both narrators were wonderful. Though I frequently enjoy audiobooks, my reading of all the prior volumes of the series had been physical books but I delighted in Kate Reading and Michael Kramer's recital so much so that the next time that I reread this series, I will probably choose the audiobooks.

I highly recommend trying the audiobook for those who haven't as this may convert you to the format.

How does one fairly rate a sample chapter? It was very good but too short of a sample to fairly judge the larger work. I was silly and requested this one without seeing that it was only a sample. I look forward to to the full novel. This sample just made me want the rest of the book... which I suppose the point of a sample

Excellent as always, Kramer and Reading are decent with the material, but some of their voices are strange choices.

Requesting Wind and Truth extended excerpt from Macmillan Audio and NetGalley was a huge mistake, lol. Not only did I not get any sleep in the last day (since I started listening yesterday afternoon and went straight through until morning) but now I have to wait until December for the rest of the story! Like all of Sanderson's work the story is an absolute delight and at least from the 20-25% I've had the pleasure of listening to I can easily say longtime fans are going to love it. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer are back as narrators (always love when a series keeps consistent narrators) and as always they do a fantastic job and I know I will need to buy this in both hardcover (need to add it to my collection) and audio form. My anticipation is now through the roof. What a way to end the year!
