This book was a great follow up to the starter stiches book and goes more in depth into those stitches that are a little trickier. I appreciate the easy to follow instructions and photos. This would be a great book for someone who is looking to come a little out of their comfort zone, without feeling intimidated. thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A really useful book with a wide range of stitches and clear instructions for each. There were some unusual stitches in here that I hadn't seen before and would love to try. A book I will buy to return to again and again.

Another great collection! I really appreciate the tips and clean layout of the book. Interesting stitches for more advanced crocheters. Makes it clear with the diagrams and step by step.

This is an excellent resource for someone who wants to move on from basic level stitches. The pictures are perfect for illustrating how to do the stitches and what kind of look you want for your project. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This is a stitch library book I could definitely use. I love the variety of colorwork, crochet cables and other more challenging stitches in this collection, and I especially like that stitch diagrams are provided for each pattern..So many stitch libraries I've looked at are just recombinations of the same basic stitches with very few that actually present anything new to master for an intermediate crocheter. If the instructions for all of them prove as straightforward to follow as the one I am trying in my current project now (a capelet/shawl using the bobbles 'n ribs stitch pattern) this is likely to be a very useful book for any intermediate crocheter looking to add a bit more challenge to their projects. I suspect that even expert/advanced crocheters may not have mastered all these patterns yet. I'd love to see what the author would select for an advanced level stitch pattern book, though it may be a while before I am quite advanced enough to need more challenging patterns.

A very well constructed book, with clear explanations and explanatory diagrams. Combining symbols and written explanations is a very good idea, and the patterns offered are very varied. An essential book for any crochet enthusiast.

Great selection of stitches. Each stitch is explained with both written description and diagram. great work.

These are easy to follow along with for advanced crocheters. If I was starting another project or needed to look back for a specific stitch, this book would be great.

Melissa Leapman is back with another stunner of a guide, crammed with helpful insights, easy to understand terms, and more crochet designs than you knew was possible! Perfect for crafting delicate to fashionable new trends, she shows us that the sky is your limit when it comes to crafting and creating with crochet.
Perfect as a gift, a coffee table book, or the ultimate reference book, this encyclopaedia to crochet styles and techniques is what every crochet artist wished they knew. Wildly helpful, and easy to follow along, it's been a real treasure and a find!

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
What a great stich book for more advanced crocheters. The pictures show what you're trying to achieve and the instuctions are detailed.

As a mid level crocheter, I am always on the look out for patterns that are clear, concise and easy to understand. Most textured stitches are slightly complicated. Well, that's what make the pattern so beautiful.
This book has some amazing illustrations with clear instructions.
The ones that truly caught my eye were Stairsteps, Istanbul Mosaic, and Streamers.
The patterns have a diagram too, for people who follow symbols better than text.
If you are a collector of crochet books, then this one has to find a spot on your bookshelf.

Amazing book that has many crochet stitches. I love how detailed and easy the patterns are. I can’t wait to make crochet items with these beautiful stitches!

This is a decent stitch dictionary. Some of the stitch names are definitely NOT the standard name associated with those stitches, which will make things confusing for the user. I’m a professional crochet pattern designer, so I know that this will lead to confusion, especially for less experienced crocheters.

This is a lovely book if you want to expand your crochet with new stitches. It explains how to do the new stitches in an easy to understand description. It is also a good book if you have been crocheting for a while as there might be stitches in here that you have not come across before.

Excellent resource, with full-colour photos of the stitches, and explanations in text and stitch diagrams. The colourwork section is especially interesting. Valuable for advanced crocheters, and inspiring for learners.

This is a companion to Essential Crochet Starter Stitches and provides the same excellent stitch dictionary but with more advanced stitches. As someone who's only recently started learning, most of these are a bit out of my range but I loved looking through the pretty designs and appreciated the clear instructions and resources section.
I'll update my review when I've gotten skilled enough to actually try some of these but I'm excited to see how many different options there are. I've done cables in knitting and it's fun to see similar options for crochet. Definitely would recommend for folks who are familiar with the craft and want to try something new.

This is an amazing book on how to do more advanced crochet stitches. I loved how the book gave color pictures of the different stitches and easy to understand step-by-step instructions. I will definitely be buying a copy of this book so I can own it physically.
This is great for those that have been crocheting at least a few months and is ready for more challenging work.
Huge thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book!

These books from Melissa Leapman are a pair of stitch dictionaries for beginner to advanced crochet artists. She provides patterns that can serve as the starting point for designing patterns, or for personalizing others' designs. The patterns offer a range of complexity, but they are broken down into easy to use steps, both charted and written. In the back of the books are detailed drawings of the various stitch techniques (for those of us old-school enough to prefer drawings over online videos!)
I'm a lifelong knitter, with only basic crochet skills, but I found these books intriguing and accessible. I see a pile of sampler/dish cloths in my near future!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I found this book to be perfect for more advanced crocheters. It was very clear and easy to follow. Also kind of a random note but I liked how they kept the yarn color in the same family for each section. It kept you focused more on what you were supposed to focus on. Great book to take your projects to the next level!

A great list of really cool stitch ideas. The diagrams and instructions are written in the usual way but maybe some pages of explainers. breakdowns of how to read a pattern etc would be helpful.
