This was a cute Christmas story about two neighbors who have crushes on the other but neither was able to express their feelings until mistletoe gave them a shove. It's short, sweet and steamy with heartfelt emotions and just enough backstory to set the scene.

This was such a cute holiday read! I am loving these themed short story collections. I had only read one other story by Daria, but this reminded me that I love her writing. I will definitely be picking up her other books.

Only Santas in the Building by Alexis Daria
- When a comic book illustrator's holiday fantasies come to life, it's the most wonderful time of the year-and maybe the hottest-in this flirty, festive tale by bestselling author Alexis Daria.
Grab a blanket, pour some cocoa, and dive into this irresistible collection of holiday romances.
After reading Only Santas In The Building by Alexis Daria I had to get the remainder of the series right away and it was just so much fun with a little joy, a lot of magic, and just enough spice.

This was cute but nothing that stood out to me or anything. Love that it was a short little story that is perfect for the holidays. But definitely one that I will forget over time. But if you're looking for something quick and cute to get you in the holiday spirit this is a good one.

Evie is on deadline and hasn’t had the time to decorate her Christmas Tree. When some cute handmade ornaments start showing up on her door she is on a mission to figure out who they are from to thank them. But for now she needs to focus and get all of her drawings in on time, so it would help if she could stop thinking about her sexy handyman neighbor who sometimes fixes things for her.
At the building Christmas party she might just get a chance for him to see her in something that isn’t her comfort clothing while she is on deadline. She is hoping she’ll knock his socks off but with a little help from some Mistletoe she might just get her socks knocked off too.
I thought this was a super cute and fast read. I liked Evie and her drooling over a nice guy who lives upstairs and I was pulling for her to finally make a move.
Narration:
Ruby Corazon was a perfect fit for Evie’s character since this was a singe PoV. She got the slight accent right and it made the story better as Evie came to life.

This was a fun quick read. Cute and a little spicy. A nice romantic read for the holiday season. I enjoyed the audiobook.

I know it’s a novella and it’s going to happen quickly, but insta-love is always so suspicious to me! It’s neighbors to lovers, so they aren’t strangers, but they seem like they’ve hardly communicated before, even if they cross paths on occasion…
Theo has been attracted to Evie from the day she moved in, but she’s been shut-in working and keeps to herself. She’s finally done her project and notices him as Santa, but also discovers someone in the building has been leaving her beautiful hand-made ornaments. She figures she can make friends with the hot Santa neighbor and figure out the ornament-leaver at the building party - two birds.
A spicy, super quick read, with Daria’s signature style. She is a great author! … but, I would definitely love to read this story as a full-length novel (I can tell that there could be so much more to it)!! Definitely a recommended addition for everyone’s holiday TBR.
Narrated by Ruby Corazon, she did a great job. I enjoyed her performance. She was a new voice to me.
Thanks to NetGalley, Brilliance Publishing, and Amazon Original Stories, for the early listen copy - this is my honest opinion.

Of all the audiobooks in this series, Only Santas in the Building stood out the most for me. It was an absolutely adorable and enjoyable listen! The banter was sharp, the chemistry was sizzling, and the story struck a perfect balance—less Hallmark-ish and more grounded in reality. While I missed Alexis Daria, this was a delightful addition to the series, and I’m eagerly awaiting her next full-length novel.

This was a cute holiday romance novella where Evie finds love in her apartment building. The insta-love was a bit much for me. Not realistic in my opinion. I liked the one person POV as I think it worked well for this story. Daria did a good job setting up the plot and the storyline. I did feel that the romance was rushed though. I guess that is what you get in a novella.

This was a short and super fun Christmas novella, perfect for getting me into the festive spirit. I really liked the portrayal of Evie's grief and the dread of the first Christmas without her grandmother. The narrator was great too, and kept me engaged in the story throughout.

3.5/5
This was such a cute holiday romance. It felt natural even though it was fast paced. I loved that the characters had been dancing around their crush for each other months before and it took some help from the other neighbors. I always love when the MMC falls first and this was perfect. It just all felt natural perfect novella.
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon for this arc.

I absolutely loved this, it was the perfect little way to kick off the holiday season. It was so cute! The narrator did a great job of keeping my attention throughout and I'll definitely be looking for more of her narrations.

This was so cute!! An apartment building romance with awkward encounters and swoon worthy moments. Even though this was a short novella there was great relationship progression and it didn’t feel too quick or rushed! The intimate scenes weren’t too over the top and just the right amount of detail ☺️ I liked the juxtaposition of these characters with one being a bit on the awkward side and the other being more sure of himself and together it was just a fun, wonderful, christmassy time!! The audiobook was done perfectly and I enjoyed the narration throughout :)

This is the first book by Alexis Daria that I have read/listened to!
This short novella revolved around Evie and Theo and their small apartment neighborhood.
Evie is an overworked artist who finds herself crushing on her charming neighbor, Theo. Their interactions were brief at first, but when they finally had the time for more meaningful conversations, the chemistry between them ignited. What I love most is that Theo is the one who falls for Evie first, subtly doing little things for her that show just how smitten he’s becoming. It’s clear—he’s completely falling for her!
There is only one POV in this book, but I appreciate it being like that as it helped the author tell the story in a short and fast paced way. Readers will know it is a relationship that will blossom along the way.
I love the spicy scenes! They were not overpowering. This story is fun and easy to read holiday romance that I truly recommend.
Huge shoutout to Ruby Corazon who did an amazing work on narrating the book. 💕

Such a cute sweet holiday novella. The story follows Evie who has a crush on Theo- he lives in the same apartment building. Theo has a crush on Evie too! It’s so sweet and cute. Audiobook is narrated by Ruby Corazon. She does a great job with the character voices and telling this story.

This festive novella features Evie, an overworked comic illustrator who's been crushing on her upstairs neighbour Theo. When their apartment building throws a santa themed party, sparks start to fly!
I do wish we got more info about the hero, but overall, this was a cute and cozy read, perfect for the run-up to Christmas.

Thank you Brilliance audio for the audio copy of Only Santas in the Building from Alexia Daria, I became of fan of this author on audio during my long pandemic walks. I really enjoyed the narration from Ruby Corazon, great performance and pacing for this short story.
The story overall is a fun, sexy holiday short story filled, a fun sounding apartment building, and a sweet satisfying ending. Pairs well with a sweet lemon bar and twinkle lights!

I was gifted an audiobook ARC of this book through Netgalley. I voluntarily read it and am leaving an honest review.
I loved this novella. Such a fun, spicy novella. If was a quick read that caught my attention from the start. The narration was great.

It was cute but IMO the spicy scene was way too long for how short this novella is.
The audiobook narrator did a fantastic job with this though - her Theo voice was easy to differentiate but not comical like some I’ve heard in the past!
Thanks NetGalley for the arc!

What a sweet, sexy delight this story is! The heroine, Evie, is a smart, talented artist who is extremely relatable, and funny! And the hero, Theo, is so swoon-worthy. I think most people will find him to be #lifegoals for a romantic partner. The audio narration is fantastic. Only Santas in the Building is a perfect gingerbread cookie of a holiday romance: delicious, warm, and a little spicy. I loved every minute of it.
