This was a short and super fun Christmas novella, perfect for getting me into the festive spirit. I really liked the portrayal of Evie's grief and the dread of the first Christmas without her grandmother. The narrator was great too, and kept me engaged in the story throughout.
3.5/5
This was such a cute holiday romance. It felt natural even though it was fast paced. I loved that the characters had been dancing around their crush for each other months before and it took some help from the other neighbors. I always love when the MMC falls first and this was perfect. It just all felt natural perfect novella.
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon for this arc.
I absolutely loved this, it was the perfect little way to kick off the holiday season. It was so cute! The narrator did a great job of keeping my attention throughout and I'll definitely be looking for more of her narrations.
This was so cute!! An apartment building romance with awkward encounters and swoon worthy moments. Even though this was a short novella there was great relationship progression and it didn’t feel too quick or rushed! The intimate scenes weren’t too over the top and just the right amount of detail ☺️ I liked the juxtaposition of these characters with one being a bit on the awkward side and the other being more sure of himself and together it was just a fun, wonderful, christmassy time!! The audiobook was done perfectly and I enjoyed the narration throughout :)
Thank you to NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This is the first book by Alexis Daria that I have read/listened to!
This short novella revolved around Evie and Theo and their small apartment neighborhood.
Evie is an overworked artist who finds herself crushing on her charming neighbor, Theo. Their interactions were brief at first, but when they finally had the time for more meaningful conversations, the chemistry between them ignited. What I love most is that Theo is the one who falls for Evie first, subtly doing little things for her that show just how smitten he’s becoming. It’s clear—he’s completely falling for her!
There is only one POV in this book, but I appreciate it being like that as it helped the author tell the story in a short and fast paced way. Readers will know it is a relationship that will blossom along the way.
I love the spicy scenes! They were not overpowering. This story is fun and easy to read holiday romance that I truly recommend.
Huge shoutout to Ruby Corazon who did an amazing work on narrating the book. 💕

Such a cute sweet holiday novella. The story follows Evie who has a crush on Theo- he lives in the same apartment building. Theo has a crush on Evie too! It’s so sweet and cute. Audiobook is narrated by Ruby Corazon. She does a great job with the character voices and telling this story.
This festive novella features Evie, an overworked comic illustrator who's been crushing on her upstairs neighbour Theo. When their apartment building throws a santa themed party, sparks start to fly!
I do wish we got more info about the hero, but overall, this was a cute and cozy read, perfect for the run-up to Christmas.
Thank you Brilliance audio for the audio copy of Only Santas in the Building from Alexia Daria, I became of fan of this author on audio during my long pandemic walks. I really enjoyed the narration from Ruby Corazon, great performance and pacing for this short story.
The story overall is a fun, sexy holiday short story filled, a fun sounding apartment building, and a sweet satisfying ending. Pairs well with a sweet lemon bar and twinkle lights!
I was gifted an audiobook ARC of this book through Netgalley. I voluntarily read it and am leaving an honest review.
I loved this novella. Such a fun, spicy novella. If was a quick read that caught my attention from the start. The narration was great.
It was cute but IMO the spicy scene was way too long for how short this novella is.
The audiobook narrator did a fantastic job with this though - her Theo voice was easy to differentiate but not comical like some I’ve heard in the past!
Thanks NetGalley for the arc!
What a sweet, sexy delight this story is! The heroine, Evie, is a smart, talented artist who is extremely relatable, and funny! And the hero, Theo, is so swoon-worthy. I think most people will find him to be #lifegoals for a romantic partner. The audio narration is fantastic. Only Santas in the Building is a perfect gingerbread cookie of a holiday romance: delicious, warm, and a little spicy. I loved every minute of it.
This novella was exactly what I was looking for! Well thought out and plotted with the right amount of back story, and build up. We’re given the perfect amount of information when we need it and I loved how realistically it all played out. It’s unfolding was fun, endearing, relatable and fun! I am excited to see what else the author has written after enjoying their writing style so much. The perfect holiday novella to make your heart feel warm and fuzzy!
Narration was spot on to the voice of the FMC and felt like the perfect match to the tone of the story itself. I will definitely be recommending and relistening to this title again!
Thank you to Alexis Daria and Brilliance audio for this ALC
This was a cute holiday romance that is part of a set of short stories. This was the only one I was approved for so not sure how the whole series would be. Evie and Theo live in the same building and they have a sweet connection. These is spice in this short towards the end. My favorite were the two meddling older building tenants who were scheming to get Theo and Evie together since they knew Theo had a crush on Evie.
4.25⭐️I did this one on audio and this author was new to me. I loved the tone right away. Evie’s internal dialogue has a cute neurotic YA feel to it and Theo is a sweetheart who is all about doing kind things for her. Short and sweet. This is a single POV and I thought the narrator did a great job.
Thank you NetGalley & Amazon original stories for the advanced reading copy, all my opinions are my own.
A cute holiday romance short story, finding love in an apartment building! Only Santas in the Building follows an awkward, overworked comic book artist who has a crush on the very attractive upstairs neighbor. And sparks just might fly during a holiday party...
This was short, but fun and does a decent job of establishing the progression of the relationship up to this one night. I enjoyed it and the audio narration is good. It's all from her perspective. Would recommend if you're looking for a fun, quick holiday romance. I received an audio review copy via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.
This audiobook is part of the Under the Mistletoe collection of short romance stories. I really enjoyed this fun story. I loved all of the holiday vibes. The interactions between Evie and Theo started out sweet and innocent and become spicy real quick! I loved their chemistry. Theo was the cutest. I was swooning over the Christmas ornaments!
I recommend listening to this cute and spicy holiday romp. The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life! I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the short stories in the series!
Evie is pretty new to the apartment building, and she’s been so busy she hasn’t even had time to get her Christmas ornaments out of storage. When cute little ornaments start appearing on her door, she has no idea who they are from. She finally figures it out after meeting her handsome upstairs neighbor under the mistletoe. This is a short and sweet novella. I loved the banter and chemistry between the main characters. The holiday vibes were absolute perfection. I also loved that we got some of Evie’s backstory, so it felt more like a complete story. This one was really fun and enjoyable!
I listened to the audio and Ruby Corazon did a fantastic job with the narration. It was easy to understand even when sped up, and helped bring the story to life.
Thank you to Brillance Publishing and NetGalley for the ALC.
I am super excited for the Under the Mistletoe Collection out 11/12/2024
I am really into authors teaming up for short story style collections with a theme. This theme is clearly the Holiday Season and Only Santas in the Building met its mark. We meet our FMC and she is struggling a bit this season with a move and the loss of her grandma - she's not really feeling festive and hasn't even put up her tree. She is invited to a Santa themed party on the top floor of her building and is excited because her handsome neighbor will be there and she also wants to thank whoever has been leaving her ornaments by her door.
Short and sweet with a tiny bit of spice. The narrator also had a lovely voice and was very easy to listen to without zoning out.
My only dislike (and partially why I can't give 5 stars) is that the nickname "Princess" is used. bleh.
Cannot wait to read the rest of these!! I am chomping at the bit for Tessa Bailey and Abby Jimenez' stories!
