There is not a Jill Shalvis book that I don't love. Her books are fun, humorous, and easy to read. The love stories that she writes always make me swoon. The Love Fix was no different. Lexi, our main character, has to go back home to help her sister Ashley clean out her mother's house. While she is there, Lexi learns that she has to help Ashley deliver 6 envelopes to 6 different people all in person. In order to get the inheritance that is left for her, Lexi has to stay 6 weeks in order to meet the requirements of her deceased mother's requests. If that is not bad enough, Heath, Lexi's childhood crush, is living across the street and has a hand in the requests as well. Will Lexi survive the 6 weeks with a sister she only barely knows? Will Lexi be able to keep her cool and her senses about her when Heath is there all the time? This fun romance has heart but it also has a lot of demons from the past that must be addressed.

The Love Fix is the 2nd book I've read in the Sunrise Cove Series by Jill Shalvis and I can see that I will be gradually getting my hands on the other books in this series because I so enjoyed both of these reads. I love Sunrise Cove--the small town feel is so charming and I can envision the beautiful sunrises and sunsets in this majestic place because Ms. Shalvis does a wonderful job of describing this gorgeous place. All that said, it was Lexi, Ashley, Heath, Grandpa Gus and of course, Mayhem that really moved me and gave me all the feels. I really enjoy Ms. Shalvis's style of writing. She pulls you into these characters' lives in this heartwarming and heartbreaking story of forgiveness and love and taking chances even when you're not sure you should. This is more than just a contemporary love story -- it encompasses sister/sister relationships and mother/daughter relationships -- it is so much more than just a romantic love story. I so enjoyed everything about The Love Fix and I will most certainly be reading more from this author in the future. I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

The 8th and final book in the Sunrise Cove series. These take place in the same town but are stand-alone books.
This story is about Lexie and Heath, childhood rivals reconnecting years later. Both with traumatic pasts that neither of them fully understood at the time, they both have to work through some major issues to open up to each other.
As with all of her books, the secondary characters are fantastic. In this book, Lexie’s sister as well as Heath’s brother and grandfather play a pretty large role in moving the storyline forward.
Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for The Love Fix to come out June 24, 2025.

I LOOOOOVE Jills books. The characters are always so full of heart, and all are always so different, so you can relate to one or many!
Lexi had a bad taste in her mouth about her hometown, and the last thing she wanted to do was go back... but we dont always get what we want in life. Her life was falling apart, she didnt want to face her baggage that was back home, and she most definitely didn't want to tell anyone what had recently happened in her life.
But her step sister Ashley drug her back to her hometown in Sunrise Cove to help with a mothers estate. Little did she know her childhood crush, Heath, now enemie was also part of that plan. But Lexi can’t refuse Ashley’s plea to honor their late mother’s final wish to make amends with the people she’d wronged. All with Heath in tow!
This is a very heart-warming, enemies to lovers story that really gives you all the home town vibes and found family. There are road trips and banter and soul mending adventures in this book. You get to follow both Lexi and Heath on a self finding advantage where along the way they realize they are much much more then they ever gave themselves to be.
Such great writing, story, and characters you can't help but get drawn in and fall in love with all of them.
Although this is book 8 in the series, they are all stand-alone novels just set in the same location.

This wasn’t my favorite Jill Shalvis title. There was still plenty of banter and quips which I enjoy. It just didn’t catch me as much as her other books.

A really cute story..Just started reading romance, and have been enjoying all of her books..Thanks for sending me a early copy.

Jill Shalvis is an auto read author for me and has been for many years. The Love Fix is number eight in the Sunrise Cove series but can easily be read on it's own. With themes of found family, forgiveness and love this story has all the feels.
After pleas from her stepsister, Ashley, Lexie heads home to help Ashley fulfill their late mother’s final wish to deliver envelopes to people she had wronged. This is an emotional read that hit me right in the heart. It’s about dealing with past hurts, self-discovery and forgiveness. I loved the characters and seeing the growth between the sisters relationship. This was a great addition to the series with plenty of heart.
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the advanced ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a quirky, Hallmark-esque slightly spicy read with surprisingly authentic relationship dysfunction. Lexi and Ashley's relationship struggles ring pretty true. I didn't necessarily love Lexi and Heath's relationship but it was overall cute.
3.5 stars.
*I received a review copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this book! That was no surprise as I love this series.
Lexi, Ashley, Heath you all have my heart.
These three struggled so much to create their bond. This was a story about forgiveness, love, second or third chances, and each character was facing their deepest fears.

Loved this book about Lexie and Ashley . when their parents divorced, Lexie was made to go with her father and Ashley stayed with her mother. Lexie is a very serious person and Ashley is a free spirit. Lexie's life was falling apart when Ashley wanted her to come back to Sunrise Cove. Lexie's old boyfriend Health is still there. see how Lexie feels the pull to stay in Sunrise Cove and have a future with Health and be a real sister to Ashley. Can she do it? A GREAT READ.

The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis hit my bookshelf today and I can honestly say it pulled me in right away and I finished it in one sitting.
Lexi had a really crappy childhood. Her mother basically abandoned her which left her father to raise her. Given her general attitude about everything, that task basically impossible. Her father remarried quickly and her stepmother and stepsisters were horrible. Couple that with jealousy of her Mom taking care of her stepdaughter Ashley better than her own flesh and blood, and that left Lexi with a wall up and severe trust issues. Taking time to meet with her sister to go over some requests Daisy left puts her right back into all the bad feelings. Can her potential future make her see beyond her past?
Ashley wants nothing more than to be closer with her sister. Daisy, her stepmother, took care of her after her father died raising her like her own flesh and blood. Now that Daisy is gone, only Lexi is left. With one last wish left by Daisy, can they find a way to truly be sisters after all these years and bad memories?
Heath had his own mess to deal with growing up. Losing his mother early, an alcoholic father, protecting his little brother from everything. He never got a chance to just…..be. He long ago developed an attraction to Lexi, he has tried to deny and avoid but now that she is back in town, he can’t find a way to stay away. Complicating the matter is the fact that he was executor of Daisy’s will and wishes, which puts him directly in the middle of everything. Will he be able to honor Daisy’s wishes and protect her daughters all at the same time.
Lots of great heart in this story. With sisters finding a way to come together, to long ago loves, extended family and heartache, returning to Sunrise Cove is a welcoming trip to a familiar neighborhood.

A heart-warming story with great characters. The banter between the step-sisters was fun. Slow burn enemies to lovers made my insides warm. This series has been very enjoyable. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC!

The Love Fix is no exception. This book is a stunning mix of humor, family drama, personal growth, and second-chance romance that will make you laugh, cry, and root for every character along the way.
Lexi Clark returns to Sunrise Cove feeling like she has nothing left. Jobless and emotionally drained, she’s forced to confront her past, including her stepsister Ashley and her childhood nemesis-turned-crush, Heath Bowman. The three embark on a journey to fulfill her late mother’s final wish: to make amends with the people she wronged. It’s a road trip filled with unexpected revelations, emotional reckonings, and a slow-burn romance that sneaks up on you in the best way.
Lexi is a character who resonates deeply. She’s been let down, used, and discarded, and yet, she still carries the weight of responsibility. Her relationship with her mother was strained at best, and honoring her final wish is something she does more for Ashley than for herself. Along the way, she begins to see things from a different perspective—one that challenges her to reconsider the walls she’s built around her heart.
Heath is the perfect balance to Lexi’s guarded nature. He’s been taking care of everyone around him for so long, but Lexi has always been the one that got under his skin. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their history is complicated. I loved the push and pull between them, the way their banter masked deeper feelings, and how their past misunderstandings unfolded into something meaningful.
What makes this story so powerful is its raw honesty. It doesn’t sugarcoat family dysfunction, grief, or the struggles of letting go of resentment. It shows that love—whether romantic or familial—isn’t about perfection. It’s about acceptance, forgiveness, and the willingness to take a chance.
Ashley’s character adds another layer of depth. She’s the complete opposite of Lexi—vibrant, open, and optimistic—but her pain is just as real. Her relationship with Lexi is strained, yet it’s clear that beneath their differences, they both crave the same thing: connection.
Shalvis excels at making you feel every moment, and The Love Fix is no different. The road trip setting adds a sense of adventure and self-discovery, while the humor balances out the heavier themes. And of course, there’s the signature small-town charm of Sunrise Cove, which makes you want to pack up and move there.
This book is about so much more than just romance. It’s about healing, rediscovering yourself, and realizing that you are worthy of love—even if your past has made you believe otherwise. Lexi and Heath’s journey is one of the most satisfying, emotional, and deeply rewarding stories I’ve read in a long time.
Highly recommend for fans of emotional but uplifting reads, slow-burn romance, and stories that celebrate the messiness of life and love.

dnf 37%. this one is on me. I didn't realize this is the 8th book in a series and I am so lost with all the names of all the characters and who they are and how they relate to our main three characters. I tired skimming for a bit to see if it would pick up but it just didn't and I'm tired of trying to keep things straight and not having a good time. I love the cover.

Easy, breezy, a little cheesy but a whole lot of fun. Great read while work is a little crazy. It is always a good time in Sunrise Cove. Releasing in June of this year.

I enjoyed this book and how it incorporated adventure, hometown, self-exploration, forgiveness, and romance. I've never read her other books in the series but I plan to now. I recommend this book to Emily Henry or Abby Jimenez fans and anyone looking for an overall heartwarming book. Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager, for the advanced copy of The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis on NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

I stayed up way too late to finish reading this, absolutely sucked into this book's orbit. It tackled some pretty hard topics, while keeping me smiling and laughing from beginning to end. We see that life truly isn't black and white but rather shades of gray, and sometimes a person who is the villain in your story is the hero in someone else's. This was messy and complicated in the best way. The story was so oddly satisfying to follow along with, but there were also little bits throughout that just made this so heartwarming and fun to read. The dog humor. The mom humor. The meddling family members. It was such a nice balance of funny and emotional. Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!

The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis is an emotional story about family, forgiveness, and personal growth. The novel follows Lexi and her stepsister, Ashley, as they fulfill their late mother’s final wishes, confronting past wounds along the way.
Lexi is a complex character with a difficult past, which makes her journey compelling, though her negativity at times may make it hard for some readers to connect with her. In contrast, hunky Heath is patient and supportive while dealing with childhood baggage of his own. While their romance lacks strong tension, it adds warmth to the story. The book’s themes of healing and redemption are engaging, though some aspects, such as the mother’s arc and Ashley’s struggles, could have been explored more deeply.
Overall, The Love Fix is a thoughtful read with some emotional depth. I would recommend it to fans of character-driven stories about family dynamics and redemption.
Thank you to Jill Shavis and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another must read book from Jill Shalvis.
Lexi returns home to help her sister clean out their her mother’s house after their mother passed away. Lexi and her mother were estranged. Her child hood home is the last place she wants to be.
Their mother requires the sisters to deliver several letters to her friends she wants to right some wrongs.
Along with reconciling with her sister, Lexi also reconnects with her high school crush Heath. They both realize they have feeling for each other.
Can Lexi get over the pain and heartbreak of her mother and come back to her hometown to stay with Heath and have a happily ever after. Or will she do what she does best and leave and go back to her old job?

On the surface this is a cute story of family and love and second chances. But, the characters, Lexi, Ashley, and Heath especially, are a depth of emotion that the author slowly reveals throughout the story. The slow and stead character development make it a much deeper and emotional story that touches on many topics. The characters are not perfect, in fact it is their flaws that make them real and relatable.
Loved the book, and recommend to all.
