Honestly I don't know why it took me so long to read this book because I devoured it within a couple days. It's about a woman who is renovating a ghost town and finds out her ex-husband is the architect. The main characters go through a journey of grief, loss and life after. I love this wonderful book and could relate a lot with the main characters.
Thank you to NetGallery and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet country romance with a twist. I really liked this one and would definitely read/listen to more by this author. I also enjoyed the fact they were doing all these renovations as I'm currently renovating an old house so it was fun hearing what they found and what they were doing.
The narration was good and kept me listening

This book was not what I was expecting. It dealt with some hard topics. It's a second chance romance and deals heavily with grief and loss of child. I liked the faith elements even though I feel like it was lightly sprinkled throughout. But I didn't realize how much it would talk about the remodel the characters were doing. Truthfully, that part was boring to me and that's why I gave it only 3 stars. But if you enjoy that type of thing then this is a book for you. Overall, it was a good read just not quite a perfect fit for me.
Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

"Lowcountry Lost" caught my attention because the write-up described the FMC, Avalee Elvis, as "making neglected places whole again." I enjoyed the idea of someone who is struggling to find wholeness themselves being able to create it for others.
And the story did not disappoint. Avalee and her team set out to redeem a ghost town and give it a second chance at life. Not only does that include restoring the old buildings, but giving the town a new name and identity and finding businesses willing to move into town. What she didn't anticipate was that her childhood best friend (and ex-husband) would become part of deal too, or that a rascally dog and a runaway teenager would help bring healing to her hurting places.
Throughout the story, you'll find the themes of found family, making lemonade out of lemons, redeeming the past, dealing with loss, and so much more.
I don't quite know what I expected when I picked up the book, but this is a story that sticks with you. Days after I finished reading it, I'm still thinking about it. Well done, T.I. Lowe! I look forward to reading more from you.
Thank you to the author, RBMedia and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

Lowcountry Lost by T.I. Lowe is a beautifully written, emotional journey of healing and second chances. The story follows Avalee Elvis, a woman who has made it her mission to restore neglected properties, pouring her heart into making them whole again. However, she can't fix the puzzle of her own past—especially the loss and heartbreak that continues to haunt her. When she returns to the small town of Somewhere, South Carolina, for her latest project, she’s confronted by the last person she ever expected to see: Rowan Murray, the man who once knew her better than anyone, and the man who was part of the tragedy that tore them apart.
The chemistry between Avalee and Rowan is palpable as they navigate their painful history and work together on the revitalization of the town. As they face old wounds, their connection slowly rekindles, and the possibility of a second chance at love and healing emerges. T.I. Lowe beautifully captures the essence of forgiveness, loss, and the power of undying love, all set against the backdrop of the charming South Carolina Lowcountry.
The audiobook delivers this poignant tale with warmth and sincerity, keeping the listener emotionally invested in Avalee and Rowan's journey. Lowcountry Lost is a heartfelt, unforgettable story that combines themes of love, redemption, and personal growth. It’s perfect for readers who appreciate Southern fiction with deep emotional layers and a sense of hope.

Lowcountry Lost is an emotional, soul-stirring read that completely wrecked me in the best way. Avalee’s journey of rebuilding abandoned places while carrying the weight of her own loss is beautifully woven into the restoration of a forgotten town. Rowan’s presence adds another layer of heartbreak and healing, making their story deeply compelling. T.I. Lowe’s writing is immersive—these characters felt real, lingering in my thoughts even when I wasn’t reading. I laughed, cried (a lot), and felt every moment. This isn’t just about renovating a town; it’s about restoring a life. Absolutely beautiful—I’ll be reading more from Lowe!

I absolutely loved this book. I listened to the audio version, and it made it so much better. The narrator did an amazing job. The author, T.I. Lowe, did an excellent job telling the story of love being redeemed along with restoring an deserted town. I found this book to be heart warming and unforgettable. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Thank you Net Galley ARC, RB Media, and TI Lowe

Can a person be a ghost town?
From the hauntingly beautiful prologue through until the end of the redemptive epilogue, this book held me captive. The writing, the storyline, the processing of grief, the character development, the setting; all were wonderful.
Narration by Zura Johnson is one of the best I've heard. Her mastery of the various accents enhanced the story immeasurably. Since finishing the audio of this book (provided by Netgalley and RB Media in exchange for my honest review), I have purchased the e-book to peruse and ponder and re-experience the tale with slightly less tension.
Sensitive readers should be aware of the recurring themes of pregnancy loss and debilitating grief.

This novel has a very "Hallmark Movie" feel, from the main characters to the minor characters, even the ghost town setting. I enjoyed the chemistry and history between the two main characters but found the whole plot too predictable. I did appreciate the way the author dealt with the topic of grief surrounding the loss of a child.

Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for allowing me early access to the ARC audiobook edition of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I think maybe I just wasn’t the target audience for this book. It seems to have near-universal love, yet I just couldn’t get into it at all. It just felt so overly southern in an old-school way that I can’t personally relate to. But if that’s your jam, this may be the perfect choice for you.
Zura Johnson’s audiobook narration seemed to suit the book perfectly.
Thank you T.I. Lowe, RBMedia, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

I loved it so much. Emotional, heartfelt, and very well written. This is my 3rd book by this author. Narrator was very good at delivering the story and pulling on my heartstrings. I recommend.

I really don't know how I feel about this book. I typically love this authors work but this just felt different. I did not enjoy the narrator. I just don't think she fit the FMC well, and honestly just lessened my enjoyment of the book. I don't think she is a bad voice actress in general, I just feel this was not a good pairing for this particular book. As far as the story goes, it was meh for the most part. I enjoyed second half of the book much more than the first for sure. I did find the ending wrapped up a little too quickly. I would have liked to have seen it fleshed out a bit more. The setting was great and I loved the idea of a town restoration. I think this would have made a good duology to see more of the found family and the town growth.
Thank you NetGalley, Recorded Books, and RBmedia for the opportunity to listen and review this advanced copy.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. The idea of finding a ghost town, and rebuilding it, making it a destination for tourists, is such a cool one. I love the characters in the story and how things developed. The characters were likeable and relatable.
The narration in the audiobook was engaging and I enjoyed it.

To say this audiobook was amazing is an understatement. My first time reading or in this case listening to anything written by this author, but I can assure you it won't be my last. I listened to this book and had it finished in two days, I was sad when it was over. I received this Advanced reader digital copy of this book from Netgalley and I have voluntarily written an honest review. I wish I could have given this book a rating higher than 5 stars, because it deserved so much more.

I would rate this a 3.5. The characters are interesting but somehow the interactions between them don’t quite come together for me. It takes a long time to get to the reveal so I kept feeling impatient to understand some of the relationships involved and if there was a point.
The plot was good and there was depth to the characters, just too much wait and see. It actually took away from what should have been building anticipation.
I would probably try another of the author’s books.

I haven't listened to an audiobook that feels like a warm hug in such a long time.
It did take a while to get thoroughly invested but once I was, I kinda didn't want the story to end - though, the ending did infact make me smile, so it was definitely worth it.
✨ Would 100% recommend as an audiobook.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Net Galley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed Lowcountry Lost. It is a tender, sweet story of second chance love, forgiveness and family. It had me laughing and crying. Even though is has the label Christian Fiction, it is not overly "preachy" but rather weaves the character's faith throughout the story. I feel Ms. Lowe created very real and relatable characters. If you need a feel good "Hallmark-esq" story, give this one a try. I enjoyed the audio book and the narrator.

I had not read or listened to any audiobooks from this author before this. The cover piqued my interest, so I then read the summary of the book and it sounded like something I would enjoy. I listen to audiobooks at work, and I end up listening to the same book several times over, so it is important to have a narrator with a pleasant voice. This narrator definitely ticked that box for me. The different characters were voiced very well. I would definitely listen to other books narrated by this actor. As I had mentioned, this was my first experience with this author. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this book. Possibly because I understood what the characters were experiencing because I have gone through the same kind of loss. I liked the author so much, that I have bought and started listening to another book. Thank you for allowing me to listen.

What a great audiobook! It had me laughing, as well as in tears! The story focuses on Avalee, a contractor who is leading the effort to restore an abandoned town. That forms the basis for all the subplots that occur around that setting. We get to hear about the details and challenges of such an undertaking, which is quite interesting and very easy to imagine from the narration. Underlying this story is the heartbreak that Avalee suffered several years ago, still eating at her to the point of insomnia. This is complicated by the fact that her ex-husband has been hired as an engineer for the project and she will have to interact with him daily. The supporting characters are fascinating: carpenter brothers who like to play pranks, a thieving dog who camps out in the chapel, a runaway teen who is eager to learn the trade from Avalee, even the whole staff at the tattoo/piercing/nail salon made me laugh.
This novel is rich with southern charm and multiple storylines. It's one of the best I"ve read/listened to this year! I hope there are more like it to come! Thank you to RBMedia and NetGalley for providing an advance review copy of this audiobook. My opinions are my own.

Avalee Lewis has been awarded a project in the Low country of South Carolina to rebuild and revitalize a ghost town however the structural engineer who presents ends up being her ex- husband!
Goodness, where do I begin this story is magical, all encompassing and emotional in so many ways. The honesty, grief and pure emotion of loss is so spot on that sometimes it was hard to experience while at the same time vindicating and identifiable. I absolutely loved and was also sad about Avalee and Rowan's journey. This loss is hard to overcome and also no one's fault, it is emotional and heartbreaking. This story is beautifully told and amazing ❤️
