This book is more than accurate. It's downright insightful, and I believe it takes two hard to talk about subjects and brings them together in a way that will give access and language to many children and youth. If teachers and parents are willing to go there, we will find it an invaluable resource.

oh that was great! it was farterific! Wasnt bathroom humor even though it was farty and then bam the last bit really got you.

This high-quality audiobook production has a full soundtrack with fart sounds, which plays underneath the narration of Tim Campbell. The music is instrumental and mostly happy sounding if a bit cartoonish. Honestly, Tim's narration is what sells this hilarious and very short comparison. He manages to deliver quite funny lines using an ironically serious but understanding voice. He has a few chuckles, too.
There isn't really much of a story involved. This is also very true. I admit that I had never thought of the similarities between feelings and farts, but the author made their case. I fully agree. I laughed through this entire short story. This is short, cute, and feels tailored for small people full of big emotions. After all, you can't hold feelings or farts in forever, as the book wisely points out.
Thank you to Christopher Willard, Tara Wosiski, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook. All opinions and viewpoints expressed in this review are my own.

What a cute little book to help little ones understand feelings in a light hearted way! It was a great listen!

This was such a clever, funny lil book! I highly suggest this book for adults as well as children. Thank you and I’ll never forget…Feelings are like Farts.”

It's very funny and entertaining! I never gave it much thought, but the title is spot on! Once this is available, I will buy a copy for each set of grandkids.

This is a funny and entertaining way of teaching kids about emotions and how they can affect us and the world around us. Some of the comparisons are silly, but all are actually spot-on. My daughter giggled along with me, and we had a good conversation about feelings after listening. I would imagine the picture book is just as good. Recommended for ages 4-10 ideally, although anyone can use a good laugh and reminder sometimes! Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a super cute children’s book comparing feelings to farts. Big and small, silent and loud, feelings are like farts. Recommend for a fun, quirky, silly book to read with your younger kiddos.
Thank you to NetGalley & McMillan Audio for this Advanced Listener’s Copy.

This audiobook is just delightful! The narrator does a good job of keeping the story light and engaging. I just loved the sound effects. They added such a wonderful bonus to this story.
I also loved the storyline and the annology that emotions are like farts is sure to keep any young reader engaged and interested in the story. It's actually something I haven't thought about, but it makes perfect sense.
I can see this book being a hit, especially with older elementary aged children who love potty language and could use more stories about different emotions.

Feelings Are Like Farts is a wonderful audiobook that compares farts to emotions! It explores important topics such as regulating your emotions, facing difficult situations, taking space, and talking to a trusted adult when you need help. I think the comparison between farts and emotions is wonderful, as it takes a serious conversation and makes it entertaining for kids!
The audiobook narrator did an excellent job of being engaging and grabbing the listeners attention. His storytelling was anything but boring! As for the sound effects, I feel like they added a wonderful layer of humor to the story, especially the fart noises, which almost all kids find hilarious. My only complaint is that I felt like the audio was a bit too loud in some parts, like the sound effect at 1:56. More specifically, I felt like the music at 1:14-1:37 didn’t fit the story and was also a bit too loud on top of the narrator's voice.
Overall, this is a story I would recommend to parents, as I believe it has important lessons about emotions for children! The audiobook aspect adds a layer of enjoyment beyond the book by itself.
Thank you, NetGalley, for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC.

I was in tears of laughter throughout this whole book. I listened to this book while I was cleaning and my husband was in the next room and I could hear him also laughing the whole time. I think for children this is a amazing book for talking in an overall way general way about feelings. It was all true when they talked about farts vs feelings and I never thought about it in this view point, but now I always will.

Adorable and silly. Comparing farts to feelings was a great idea. It is silly enough to engage children but also talks about a serious thing like emotions. I cannot wait to read this to my middle schoolers.
5 stars

I enjoyed listening to the Audiobook “ Feelings are like Farts”. As a teacher who is continually expanding their social emotional library, this book proves to be a great addition. This title will especially appeal to boys, who can often have trouble relating to books about feelings. The book’s humourous approach makes it a great introduction to being comfortable talking about feelings in the classroom. Curriculum wise, I would incorporate this at the beginning of a program, focussed on different emotions.

I listened to this audio book. It is really cute and funny. AND, the title is true! I read to two elementary kids every week and they would love this!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillon Audio for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Listened to this one with my big feeling ten year old. A humorous take on feelings-- had my kiddo giggling. A great way to simplify and normalize how feelings may be felt every day.

A quick little listen that will have you smiling and excepting that it is not only normal to fart, it is also ok to as well.
Farts are like feelings, once you let them out, you will always feel better. I am an adult and I still and always will find farts funny.
Raising three sons, now adults has made me sort of an expert on the subject and I totally agree with everything Christopher Williard PsyD
talks about in this book. It was an easy, funny and informative listen, that deserves more than the 5 stars I am able to give.

We will definitely be adding this one to our library! We’ll be getting the physical copy because I could see this one becoming a staple. The audio wasn’t bad, but there were definitely missed opportunities for fart noises and it felt like the other sound effects thrown in were a bit overwhelming and random. Still a great book and looking forward to using it with my son!

A five year-old boy and six year-old boy listened to this story. The five year old liked the story including the sound effects. The six year-old however, wasn't quite sure and had doubts. Feelings are difficult to express but after a little prodding, it seems he was conflicted with the word "fart" itself. He felt it could be a nasty word. Having only listened and not actually read the book make it a bit difficult to make a final recommendation. I imagine the pictures in this story says a lot more to smaller children than just the audio version. The cover seems likely to attract most just by looking at it.
3 1/2 stars.
Thank you NetGalley, the author, and publishers for the opportunity to read the ARC.

10 out of 10 recommend!! I listened to this book with my 6 year old son and then my 40 year old husband. Both giggled all the way through. I took lessons away from it. And we have plans to make it required reading for all the sports teams we coach :)

This is surprisingly adorable and relatable, for children and adults alike. I listened to the audiobook with my elementary school-aged kids in the car (audiobooks are a new endeavor for us in the car). They thought this was hilarious but I could tell they also noticed the insights about their emotions too. My 10 year old was particularly keen to say, "feelings too!" when something was said about farts. I'd recommend too all. The farts reference is silly without being gross too!
