This children's audiobook was so cute! The narrator was absolutely amazing and had my daughter giggling and following intently. His accent and different voices were fantastic. The music and sound effects were also a fun surprise and enjoyable. The actual story was super fun and totally worked as an audiobook, though a physical copy along with the audiobook as a tandem read would be great for my elementary school library! I am quite confident the illustrations would also be great based on the cover image.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for Roaring Brook Press and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy of this fun children's book.

Audio 3.5/5
Story 5/5
Narration 5/5
Thank you NetGalley for an audio eARC. This is such a cute story. My kids listened with me and loved it! Is underwear a hat for your butt?! I love that the hedgehog was brave enough to share his true self with his friends and found out that everyone has things that makes them unique. My only issue was the audio was a bit confusing at a few points without seeing the physical book pages. The narration though was AMAZING.

A French hedgehog wears undies and is worried the others will find out. One day he has a big party and announces he's into underwear. The other hedgehogs are cool with it and share the weird stuff they like.
Message: be yourself. It feels good and it encourages others to be themselves.
The music is cute but the narration is a bit odd and the story may be improved with pictures.
Thank you for the ARC.

Is that like a hat for your butt? Haha! I love this story. It was so cute. I love how he was brave to share himself with his friends, and then he found out they all had something that was unique to them, and they were empowered to share their truth as well. It was really cute.
Audio was great!

Silly and fun, this was an enjoyable audiobook to listen to with my little ones! We enjoyed the hedgehogs French accents (which definitely added to the humor of the audiobook!).

My kids loved this book. They giggled the whole way through. We enjoyed the narration as well, very well produced.

Fun book with a good message! My 6-year-old enjoyed it, and we’re looking forward to seeing the illustrations.

This is a cute story with musical background and a narrator who lays on a thick French accent for the hedgehog. Kids will want to read and look at the pictures at the same time, so I recommend this for a talking book. I think it's a great story for preschoolers, especially since nothing is funnier than underwear at that age.

This was a fun little book about being yourself and doing the things we like, even if others don't do those things.
The narrator was a bit hard to understand at some points for my kiddos but I liked the way he narrated and the story was really cute!
The hedgehogs were fun and it was a really good story line!

Hedgehogs Don't Wear Underwear, written by Marissa Valdez and narrated by Tim Campbell, is the story of Jacques. a hedgehog who has a secret... He wears underwear. The problem is, Hedgehogs Don't Wear Underwear, and he has decided he has to tell the other hedgehogs.
I loved this book! It was hilarious, and I can see little ones loving it. Although the story was humorous, it also had a message, about accepting yourself for who you are, and being willing to accept others for who they are. This is another book that I am excited to share with the preschoolers that I work with.
Thank you to NetGalley, and to the author, publisher, and narrator of this book for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

The narrator has a French accent, but super easy to follow along with. The story is super cute as it follows Jacque, a hedgehog who wears underwear. My 5 year old thought this was super funny and wanted to keep listening to it. This is a great book to have kids read and create the image/story in their minds.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

We loved this story. I was funny and well written my 2 toddlers LOVED the French accent. And we all laughed while Jacques faced his fear of being himself.

The narrator was great. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

Such a fun read. The storyline and audio production were engaging and well done. The story follows Jacques, a little hedgehog with a big secret. You see Jacques wears underwear and is afraid that when the other hedgehogs find out, they will make fun of him. This book has a great message about staying true to oneself, being brave and having the courage to stand in your truthiness while also exploring the differences that makes us unique and bounds us. The narration on this was amazing. Tim Campbell did an amazing job narrating these characters. The kiddos loved the French accent, and we listened to this audio multiple times. They absolutely loved this story. One of their favorite lines was "Under who? Is that like a hat for your butt? They seem to crack up at this line. This book was funny, clever, easy to follow, engaging and had a great plot that was executed brilliantly. This is a great book for young kids.

A cute story narrated in a French accent to show readers that it's okay to be a little different. And when you put yourself out there you'll find that you're not so different after all.

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves how silly this story is and the narrator made it such a fun listen! The fact that it teaches a lesson made it that much better!

this was such a cute little read my 5 year old son loved it . !! we have listened to it more then once ! Great job

I listened to this book on audio and it was super cute! The narrator had a French accent, was animated and engaging. The story line is adorable and a fun way to show kids to be themselves and be open to sharing their uniqueness. Highly recommend for the younger kiddos!

A playful book that will capture young readers with it's storytelling. A story about courage and friendship, it will keep little ones entertained while teaching acceptance. A charming story that invokes laughter and curiosity, I tested the audible on two little brothers, 5 & 7. They both enjoyed it and requested to hear it over again multiple times. I plan to add to my library upon its release.
Thank you NewGalley for the opportunity to listen to this as an audible for my honest review.

What a cute little story about being different and the fears that brings up. The hedgehog is French and has the cutest little accent! I'm not sure of all the French words but it was fun and funny to listen to.
