This was fine. I don’t really have any thoughts about it. The whole weed thing was so obvious and the storyline with her grandparents disappearing on vacation was so weird. Why did no one try to find them and where even were they on vacation? It really bugs me that this was such a loose plot line. I also wasn’t a fan of the main character Emma, she really annoyed me.

Thank you Hachette Audio and Libro FM for my gifted copies. All opinions are my own.

I mostly enjoyed this, but there was a lot going on. I do have to start off by saying that the narration was fantastic!

Emma shows up for her estranged grandparents’ will read to find she’s inherited their farm. She is a busy publicist in Atlanta but finds herself in Green Acres when her life in Atlanta falls apart.

She has a tumultuous start to her relationship with the farm’s manager, Dan but it quickly becomes more. I really liked Dan and the small town’s cast of characters. There was just a lot with the farm, growing medical marijuana, Emma’s ex trying to get involved. I was happy with how it resolved but maybe could’ve been simplified a bit.

I appreciate the ARC of this audiobook. I wish the audiobook had more sound effects and music, it'll would've helped push the book and plot forward. I usually don't reach for small town IR romance, and this one kinda confined why i don't. Nothing was gravitating towards the characters, and I didn't really care for them. But, the book isn't horrible, def readable for sure.

Special thanks to the author, @librofm for my ALC & @readforverpub for my gifted e-ARC‼️

Finally a rom-com that made me laugh which was partially due to my girl Wesleigh Siobhan narrating the audio. Her delivery and energy is always on point so just know anything she narrates will be worth listening to.

Now this book had a slow start for me and I didn’t think I’d enjoy it but I’m happy I pushed through. Emma thought she had the perfect life with her successful career and loving boyfriend Teddy. But in a matter of minutes her entire world is turned upside down leaving her jobless, boyfriend-less, and the new owner of a family farm. With nothing else to lose Emma packs her bags and heads to Green Acres, Georgia. Upon arrival she’ll discover that Old McDonald left her more than just a farm it came with a little medical marijuana and a sexy farm manager who will swoon her right out of her knickers 😂.

Ya’ll this book was heartwarming, funny, a little spicy and filled with loveable characters. I literally could see Lynn Whitfield playing Emma’s mother. But the fact Emma and Dan were from two different cultural backgrounds I always felt their encounters were authentic and funny. Their first time having sex was so hilarious to me. The only character you’ll dislike is Teddy the narcissistic f*ckboy from hell. He was such a loser for what he tried to do.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and if you like small-town romances with Hallmark vibes you’ll enjoy this one too. Lucy was in her Tyler Perry bag when she wrote this book lol. Perfectly capturing the small- town charm and what it means to completely start over. The dialogue was on point , the humor was lighthearted, and the romance was passionate and nurturing for both MC’s. Need I say more?

This was my first book by Lucy Eden, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Love in Bloom is the perfect cozy, small-town rom-com to enjoy during work or as a relaxing escape afterward. Emma, the relatable main character who can’t cook or keep plants alive, brought humor and heart to the story, and her journey from city chaos to inheriting her grandparents' farm was both touching and funny.

I especially loved how the small-town community rallied around Emma, showing the charm and warmth of tight-knit rural life. There’s a bit of spice in the story, but it’s tastefully done and fits perfectly within the plot. Wesleigh Siobhan’s narration was the highlight of the audiobook experience—she’s simply one of the best. Her ability to distinguish male and female characters is unmatched, and her capture of a male British accent was fantastic. I’d listen to anything she narrates.

Overall, Love in Bloom is a delightful mix of humor, romance, and community spirit, making it a great pick for fans of feel-good, small-town love stories.

New to me author Lucy Eden's Love in Bloom is a captivating story full of romantic and heartwarming moments mixed with loads of small-town charm. Beautifully well-written, well-built plot with twists and turns that will keep you intrigued. It's an amazing opposites attract, big city/small town, fish out of water story along with a delightful exploration of self-discovery, found family, and an unexpected romance.

Wesleigh Siobhan is worth her weight in gold. She elevatated this book to something even greater than it could be on it's own.

✨ small town, city girl to a farm life, feel good romance ..
✨🌶️ level

✨ Emma had it all. From losing a job, break but getting lucky to inherit a farm. But she must know how! Neighbours are getting annoyed with her at first of what she will do but she is willing to learn from a guy Dan. Which is the care taker of the farm while she was away and looking after her grandparents. (Like an adoptive child,British)

✨it was a light romance feel, same plot as one of the books I read . But definitely worth the read.

✨ Thankyou for the opportunity to read this book for a honest review.

4 stars.

"Love in Bloom" by Lucy Eden is a cute, quick read! It is a small-town romance with a lot of meddling neighbors, fluff, and self-exploration. I loved the banter between the main characters, Emma and Dan. They both have terrific character arcs and excellent banter. I liked the spice level in this story. There are a lot of unexpected family secrets and twists in this story to keep readers engaged. The exploration of grief is wonderful as well. It is a little out there and unrealistic at times, and a little predictable at others, but I ultimately found it to be a charming and sweet book. As per usual, Wesleigh Siobhan absolutely kills the narration in this book. She is such a fabulous narrator!

Thank you to NetGalley, Lucy Eden, Hachette Audio, and Forever for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

"Love in Bloom" is a sweet but also very predictable story about two people who meet in a small town. I'm a fan of small town romances, but this one sadly wasn't for me.

Emma is new in the town, after she inherited her grandparents farm. It feels like everything goes wrong in her life and that the farm could maybe change everything. But than she discovers a secret about not just her grandparents but the whole town.

The description sounded interesting when I first read it. I couldn't really imagine what would happen in the story, but that changed really fast once I started the story. The story itself was cute and had a lot of aspects to it.

I couldn't really connect with Emma most of the time and thought that she's really selfish. A lot of things happened throughout the story that felt unnecessary and childish. Most of it could have been solved by talking to each other.

Before I started listening the book I didn't knew that it was spicy because it was advertised as a “romantic comedy”. I wouldn't really say that the story was a romcom because most of it was about pretty serious issues and only very few aspects were in a comedy way. And the spice was a lot. Not really a lot of scenes but the way it was written was just a lot.

The narrator was good but the way she was doing Dan's British accent was a bit annoying after some time.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hachette Audio Forever for this audiobook EARC!

I think overall this book was cute but it was a little predictable and cheesy in certain parts. For example, of course it was weed in the green house and of course Dan was going to name the rose after Emma. Also I did not really like the narrator unfortunately. A little too over the top for my taste and her British accent for Dan drove me nuts.

This was my first book by this author, I did not know what to expect but it definitely didn’t disappoint. The book read like a hallmark movie and was enjoyable. It was a small town romance, family secrets & drama. Emma is a true city girl that inherited a farm from the grandparents she doesn’t even remember because they were estranged from her mother.
The narration was good. It was all around enjoyable.

Thank you to NetGalley, Hachette Audio, for this audio ARC.

An unbelievably cute small town romance, the first book I've read by this author and I'd definitely like to read more. I started reading this with no expectations and ended up loving it, however it took me a while to get through as it is very slow at points and I found myself putting it down. Would definitely still recommend though!

Love in Bloom was my first full length novel by Lucy Eden. I had read her novellas before and really liked those books, so I was intrigued right away about the premise of this book. City girl (Emma) inherits a farm/business in a small town from deceased grandparents she really didn't know. She's a fish out of water and really has no business even thinking about keeping the farm. But when life in the city gives her lemons and the farm manager (Dan) helps her out of a tough situation almost immediately, there is already a pull there that she cannot deny.

I enjoy the opposites attract, big city/small town, fish out of water stories and like to see how the characters change and grow throughout. This particular story also had a town secret that Emma's grandparents left behind and some family drama that added to the story and Emma's growth. Dan also had a little bit of a past drama, but that seemed just meh. It honestly wasn't even really needed. What did do it for me, was that he was British and had a heart of gold that loved to take care of Emma.

Although Emma was a city girl through and through, I liked the farm life on her. She may not have been made for small town/farm life, but she made a life within the people that she surrounded herself with, Dan included. They had a fun and flirty banter that of course turned to more. I did feel the story dragged on and included more than was necessary. If I wasn't listening to the audio, I would've skimmed it.

As for the audio, Wesleigh Siobhan is a goddess. She brought the story to life and really gave Emma a personality that fit the story. The downfall, was this was a single POV romance and I think it would've benefitted being dual POV and with a male narrator with a British accent. The British accent wasn't great, but it didn't bother me.

Overall, this was a cute story that lulled at points but was still enjoyable. 3+ stars

When we first meet Emma Walters, her life has just taken a major turn for the unexpected. Her estranged grandparents recently passed away and, much to her surprise, Emma inherits their farm. Soon after, she is dumped by her long-time boyfriend and fired from her job as a publicist in Atlanta all in the same day. Taking it as a sign, Emma flees to her new farm to seek refuge and regroup.

Emma is a city girl through and through so small town life and, especially farm life, presents its fair share of challenges and Emma is definitely in over her head at first. Making her new life even more challenging is that the nosy townspeople don’t really seem to like her and she also has to contend with Dan, the handsome but grumpy manager of her farm.

It was fun watching Emma learn her way around the farm. Even though she’s in over her head, she doesn’t give up and I admired that scrappy, resilient personality and I thought her character showed so much growth throughout the course of the story. It was also entertaining watching her realize that all isn’t exactly as it seems with her farm and that her grandparents and Dan had been providing a very unexpected service to the residents of the town, which explained why they were initially so suspicious of her presence.

I also enjoyed watching first the friendship and then the romance bloom between Emma and Dan. It was a bit of a slow burn, but their banter was fun, and I thought they made a great team working together on the farm.

I did an immersive read with the ebook and audio and really enjoyed Wesleigh Siobhan’s narration. She does such a wonderful job bringing these characters and their experiences to life.

Emma goes from a high stakes publicists to the stars in Atlanta to inheriting her estranged grandparents farm in the middle of Georgia after their unexpected death. After what follows a series of unfortunate events, Emma loses her job, ends her long term relationship, and finds her way back to that farm and trying to learn what made her parents distance themselves from her grandparents. There, Emma falls for Dan who is the greenhouse manager, who has his own past about how he ended up on the farm and working for her grandparents.
The town seems to be harboring a secret, which is tied to the Emma's past and why her mom made them leave and didn't invite her grandparents to the death of Emma's older sister. When she uncovers the secret in the greenhouse, Emma begins to wonder what the town is hiding from her about her past and what else her mom may be hiding.
Love in Bloom is a cute romance that stays relatively low stakes until the end. I would prefer a lower stakes climax, but I enjoyed how the town bands together and the character growth of the MC accepting and asking for help in her time of need. I also enjoyed the romance between the pair, it was a bit insta-love but was cute. A quick listen, the narrator did a phenomenal job with the variety of voices, expression of emotion, and differentiating between Emma's thoughts and spoken voice.

I really enjoyed Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden!! It was a fun, romantic read that had cute banter, great found family, and (a trope I LOVE:) determined city girl on a farm!!

I also loved how this book dealt with grief, and dealing with the loss of things that could've been had people made different choices (this sounds very vague but it makes sense in the book!! lol).

I loved the narrator, Wesleigh Siobhan, she does such a good job with the story and the voices and infuses so much feeling into the words that really adds another level to the story!!

A very cute love story that isn't just a love story. You get to watch Emma grow into a better version of herself and Dan open up about his past. There is a town secret, love, family secrets and personal growth throughout this book. Let me just go ahead and get this out there but man oh man the spice is spicy and I was so here for it!! However the ex coming back into the picture to blackmail is where I drop points, it felt unnecessary and a tad forced. I do not care for miscommunication tropes and if everyone would've been more straight forward there wouldn't had been so many issues. With that being said I did enjoy this book due to the romance!

This is my first time reading something by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. This is the ultimate, laugh-out-loud, heartwarming, romantic comedy with loads of small-town charm. Emma's life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out she has inherited her grandparents farm. Her world is further thrown upside down when she loses her boyfriend and her job all in the span of a day. As she stumbles into her new life in Green Acres, Georgia, Emma’s misadventures become a delightful exploration of self-discovery, community, and unexpected romance. From bumbling through farm life to encountering a town full of quirky characters, Emma’s journey is both relatable and wildly entertaining.
Dan is the gruff yet swoon-worthy farm manager and provides the perfect foil for Emma’s city-slicker antics. Their chemistry is off the charts and absolutely sizzles with tension and humor, and their witty and cheeky banter is definitely a highlight of the novel. The slow-burn romance is well-paced, with just the right amount of will-they-won’t-they that kept me hooked and eager to see how things turned out.
The author did a great job with vivid descriptions, really bringing the story to life. The witty prose and sharp comedic timing ensured that even the most absurd situations felt authentic and engaging.
While this is an absolutely sparkling rom-com; it’s also a story about resilience, community, and finding a sense of belonging. The author did a masterful job of balancing humor and heart, making this a gem of a read.
I read this as an ebook as well as listened to the audiobook. I really enjoyed the narration and felt it was really well done.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

What a wild tale! I enjoy Eden’s books, which are often quick novellas and also often shifter romances, so it was a great surprise to find out her new release was neither of those! I’m happy to say this is absolutely my favorite novel of hers (favorite of all her releases), and I really do enjoy everything I’ve read so far… though I do still need to read a few more titles.

Emma and Danesh’s story is very unexpected and unique. I definitely couldn’t predict what was coming with each page flip, and I really appreciated that with so many formulaic writers out there. A breath of fresh air! Twists and turns in their tale kept coming, kept me going and made it hard to stop reading/listening. I had a blast with these two, especially with the multicultural aspect. Emma’s string of terrible luck made for a great storyline, and Dan’s secretiveness (along with the entire town) made the reader wary but also impressed with him at the end.

Very, very well done, superb writing, and absolutely a recommended one from me!

Narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan, she does a great job as always. I love her voice and she really suits Emma’s character.

Thank you to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Hachette Audio. I appreciate the early read and listen copies. This is my honest review.
