This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.
I feel like this was among one of the first New Adult series I read, and while I enjoyed it, it's not the best the genre has to offer. Cute, but forgettable.
Kylie is flunking chemistry. She needs to pass in order to keep moving forward. She meets Jonathan aka Darwin. Jonathan is going to be tutoring Kylie and get her ready for her test to pass the class. Professor Kadisch's class, Jonathan's father.
Jonathan and Kylie have CHEMISTRY there is no denying that but when Kylie gives Jonathan a glimpse of the last couple months of her life, Jonathan wants to make her feel better. So the two find themselves having sex and then trying to leave it at that. But 5 weeks later Kylie has some exciting, life altering, and unbelievable news for Jonathan.
Jonathan wants this baby and he wants Kylie so the couple give it a shot. Kylie wants to believe Jonathan wants to be with her and not just because of the baby. When the couple's future is threatened with a unavoidable change Kylie wonders if it is the end.
I like that Kylie picked herself up and is getting on with her life after Nathan's cheating. Nathan treated her horrible and I'm glad she is seeing that. I like that Jonathan is so sweet to her and super smart. I think they do compliment each other very well. I found the acceptance of her pregnancy by parents to be disturbing even though it was a good reaction. And I loved Jonathan's mom.
The last instalment in a great series! As always I found the plot avoided being cliché by adding twists and well developed characters. Kylie despite her ‘dumb blonde’ facade actually proved herself as resilient and independent. Jonathan was a great male lead with an interesting backstory. I enjoyed catching up with the cast at the end, tying up loose ends. It is my favourite book in the series- a consistent reread!
Hmmmm. Let's see. I really am a sucker for this trope so I definitely knew after reading the other books in this series that I'd be reading this one. I liked the way it was handled and even though there were some emotional lows, there were definitely some emotional highs too. I know some readers won't like this one but I think others will be happy to see how the characters in this series are functioning.
I had a hard time finishing this book. I gave up a while ago and haven't come back to it until now. I aologize for not giving a proper review, but this title didn't entice me to read a substantial part of the book so I feel as though a review would be premature, especially since this was so long ago.
Best of luck,
