Sahil Bloom’s The 5 Types of Wealth redefines wealth as more than money, focusing on time, social connections, mental clarity, physical health, and finances. Each section offers powerful insights and actionable tips to create a balanced, fulfilling life.
The quote that stayed with me from the Time Wealth section perfectly captures the book’s message:
“Family time is finite—cherish it.
Children time is precious—be present.
Friend time is limited—prioritise the real friends.
Partner time is meaningful—never settle.
Coworker time is significant—find energy.
Alone time is abundant—love yourself.”
This book is an inspiring, practical guide for anyone looking to design a truly meaningful life. Highly recommended!
I am generally not a big reader of 'self-help' books, but I decided to request this one to review as my husband and I are at a stage in life when we are starting to think about things like future finances and long-term health, so I wondered if The 5 Types of Wealth would have some insights. Overall, I did find it a thought-provoking read. I didn't think everything in its pages was right for me, but some of the exercises did seem useful, and I particularly liked the way the author blended the comments and recommendations with elements of science, history and storytelling, which made it feel more reflective than just a list of prescriptions. The tone wasn't too 'preachy' either, which is something that has tended to get me off-side in other self-help books I have glanced at in the past. I am giving this four stars. Regardless of where you are in life, you are likely to find something useful in these chapters to take away with you after reading.
