Thank you Caroline Young ( @carolinejillyoung ) Gemini Books ( @geminibooksgroup ), and NetGalley ( @netgalley ) for allowing me to read The Essential…Taylor Swift (out now).
A Taylor Swift fan’s dream book! This book was expertly written in great detail from the timeline of Taylor’s life in Pennsylvania to the announcement of The Tortured Poet’s Department. In addition to the excellent storytelling of Taylor’s life, the book includes pictures from those different eras as well.

A fun read with a lot of insight into Taylor Swifts history and storytelling. If you already know some things about Taylor and her easter eggs, I doubt you'll find anything new here. But if not, it's a good starting point.
I love Taylor Swift so I was very excited to read this, full of beautiful images and fantastic info about her career.
I've been a Taylor fan since the beginning, not to mention having 2 daughters during the taylor years - this is a great b[k for a taylor fan (especially with Christmas coming) great photos, great info and facts definitely would recommend!
You best believe I wrote this review with Taylor’s music blasting into my ears and creating the electric thrill it’s famous for inspiring. This book offers a deep dive into Taylor’s career, music, inspirations, and her journey to becoming the superstar and feminist icon she is today. For any Swiftie, it’s truly an essential coffee table addition, paired with stunning, captivating images of the artist.
Even when I set aside my love for her music, I found myself captivated by and admiring her story. I’ve always been intrigued by two things about Taylor: her sharp business and marketing sense and her resilience in turning challenges into art—those skillfully written lyrics that make listeners feel connected to her and find their own feelings validated at the same time.
This book would make a perfect gift and serves as an excellent beginner’s guide to the world of Taylor Swift.
Great book for Swifties and people who just want to learn a bit more about her.
I really liked the addition of the pictures throughout the book. It’s not a particularly long book but it’s full of good facts about Taylor and her career.
It goes through her discography & the awards she’s won. It goes up to the midnights era & the re-records. As well as the Eras tour but it doesn’t include the tortured poets department. All in all an easy interesting read.
“The Essential…Taylor Swift” was a good biography about Taylor Swift. It really delves into who she is and where she came from. The book was packed with information. I enjoyed that there was a lot of focus on her songs and the inspirations for them as well. There were plenty of photos included. It was also helpful that the author included a discography at the end of all of the music Swift has made including notes about the album. This is a great book for any Taylor Swift fan. Even those who have been a fan of hers since the beginning will learn something new about Taylor Swift.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This is a (very) quick summary of Taylor Swift's career, from the start right up to The Tortured Poets Department. While I did not feel like I learned as new much information as I did from The Essential...Lady Gaga, there was still some interesting info - like Kenny Chesney giving Taylor a cheque to make up for having to remove her as an opening act for his tour.
While this book may be better suited for someone who doesn't have a full knowledge of Taylor's career, the detail and pictures make for a good read for anyone.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. As a die-hard Taylor Swift fan, I loved every second of this book. It's a quick read about her life and career.
I loved this book! The pictures were so great and I loved how it broke it down by each era and album! If you are a swiftie then this is a must read!!
Was disappointed that I couldn’t download this to my kindle; the format wasn’t available and therefore I couldn’t read it.
