What a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive - and this web is a thick one! Everyone has secrets and lies are everywhere - a fast moving and engaging mystery.
4 stars - loved the setting of her sitting in a coffee shop watching everything that happens across the street. Great twists and some wacky decisions made this one different from other similar books.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
When I read the first page I knew this would be the kind of books I love. This book felt like a roller coaster. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. For any one that likes thrillers and mysteries then you need to pick up a copy. I highly recommend thiis book.
Every day I sit at my favorite cafe and watch them! The woman has no idea I’m watching, day after day, unravelling the secrets of her life. I see the way she smiles when he arrives, how she glances over her shoulder… like someone who is hiding something. She thinks she’s in control, but has no idea I’m on to them…I know a lot more about the man. For a start, he’s not who he pretends to be his lies are as plain as the nose on your face. There’s more to this story than meets the eye, a lot more than I’ll ever let on. I already know a lot about the man, but have learnt so much more from watching. Why do I think the man should tell me what’s going on? Because he’s my husband. That’s why! Great read! Lots of double crossing and gaslighting in this book! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood books for sharing this book with me!
This is a brilliant and gripping thriller that keeps you guessing all the way through. With plenty of shocking twists and turns, it's a great read. Loved it!
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the eARC.
Izzy sits in the window of a cafe and watches a woman across the street interacting with her husband. This woman also has a small son. Is her husband having an affair and is the little boy his son?
The story ratchets up more and more tensely and I thought I could figure out what was going on, but no, I was wrong.
It's a good book with a surprising ending that was both tense and enjoyable.
The intriguing premise of this book sucked me in. A woman sits in a coffee shop every morning and watches as her husband visits who she believes to be his mistress. And her young son. Is the boy his? The drama and suspense that ensues throughout the entire book kept me engaged as I tried to uncover the mystery to find out the truth behind everything that happened. The pace of this book was a bit slow for me, especially in the middle but overall an enjoyable reading experience.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc!
WOW!!! What a great book!! This one had me hooked from page 1! This was a first for me from this author and I will not be my last! This one was a win for me!
Izzy spends her mornings in a cafe drinking coffee and staring out the windows watching her husband lead a different life than what he tells her he is doing. She sees him get hit on his bike, visit another woman and her son etc. This book is fast paced, hard to put down and interesting as the suspense builds and Izzy tries to decide if she should confront her husband about his lies or just ignore it and go on with life.
This is a nice book. Once i started couldn't put it down. Hiding, cheating everything is there in the plot. A story which started by mere watching the people across the road from the window of a cafe ends up revealing a lot of things
Overall this is a very good book. I rate it 5/5.
Oh my dear gosh!!!!!!! What a fantastic read.. this was surprising in so many ways..Great ways, I loved everything about this book it just reeled me in and wouldn't let me go until the last page. Perfectly planned, perfect characters. Loved!!

"The Girl in the Window" by Diana Wilkinson is a gripping psychological thriller that captivates from the first page. The story weaves a complex narrative around themes of isolation and perception, centered on a young girl who becomes the focal point of intrigue in a seemingly quiet neighborhood. Wilkinson’s writing is sharp and atmospheric, effectively building tension and suspense. The characters are well-developed, each with their own secrets that unfold as the plot progresses. Overall, it's a compelling read that keeps you guessing until the very end, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.
Every morning, Izzy, drinks coffee and watches her husband and his mistress across the street. She decides she is sick of being lying to and sets out to find the full truth and expose them. Along the way, Adam comes into play, as well as issues with Jed's mother. Why are all these people suddenly always at Blanche's mom's house? Are they all in some scheme to make Blanche sell her house to get the money? Izzy uses her column to dig out information, which leads to her getting threats. This book had some suspense. yet I felt quite a bit was either lacking or predictable. It was not near as good as The Woman in Seat 2A. But it was ok.
Another fabulous read from this talented author.
A real psychological thriller/who done it.
Well written characters and a great storyline which kept me guessing until the very end.
I sat up very late last night to finish!
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
