I know this is an older series but I am sad to say goodbye. I have enjoyed each book and loved Ryan and Harrison’s story. One night has many consequences for Ryan. While their story starts off hot & heavy, the rest of their story is a slow, slow burn. I loved that just because it started the way it did, that it wasn’t a foregone conclusion that they would pick up where they left off. My only complaint is that it’s in desperate need of an epilogue
Going through my netgalley account and just found the section of books titled Archived, not downloaded. I apparently requested and was approved for this book but I never DLd it and so did not read it. I appreciate the approval and while still interested in the title I am not sure when I will get to read it. If/when I do I will be sure to post a review on Instagram, goodreads, storygraph, and Amazon.
As always I enjoyed this book and really any book this author has written. This book was well written and tied into the other books in the series well.
I love Molly O'Keefe! She can write a good love story and keep you reading until the last page. I have been reading less of the romance genre but I do like this author.
Strong, independent, confident heroine, determined not to settle for less than everything; a closed off hero about to get knocked on his behind and a political marriage of convenience equals a ton of fireworks and the potential for scandal! I enjoyed this and I need to read the series from the beginning.
Breaking the Ties that Bind
This was a fast moving story about love, loyalty and the ties that bind. Ryan is tough, snarky, wounded, generous, kind, and at times, funny. Harrison “Harry”, is cynical, ambitious, driven, also wounded, and emotionally numb except for when Ryan cracks thru his shell. Although neither usually allows anyone to get past their armor, somehow they connect and sparks fly. Each was born into a tough family that’s seen their share of heartbreak and betrayal. But, each believes in family and sticking together regardless.
