I thought this book was a wild ride! The book kept me engaged. I did not expect the plot twists. I thought the ending was shocking and I was guessing until the very end.
It was a quick read and a great sequel to the perfect marriage.

I loved The Perfect Marriage a few years ago, so I was excited to read this sequel. While it was still enjoyable, I felt it wasn’t as necessary or as good as the first. I didn’t think The Perfect Marriage needed a sequel, but I’m not upset it exists.

The book is fast-paced, action-packed, and features a strong main character. The story is exaggerated and far-fetched, but still fun. Sarah, the main character, reminded me of Amy from Gone Girl—she’s not exactly "likable," but I found myself rooting for her. If you can overlook the over-the-top plot, it’s an entertaining read. However, if you’re looking for something more realistic, this isn’t the book for you.

Well, thank goodness you do not have to have read the first book in this series to enjoy this one! The author does a great job of filling in the history in this sequel. The writing, plot, and characters are also much better! The ending was a bit convoluted, but at least it made sense. Sarah fails at being the sinister protagonist we all want to cheer for and maybe in the next book she will get her comeuppance? But she, and the other characters, were entertaining and made for a great escape! And I will read the next in the series!

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could! Sarah Morgan is such an interesting character and this book does an excellent job of balancing whether we should be rooting for her or against her. The writing is solid, and as the pieces all fall into place, every question of doubt vanishes. Great read.

Thank you, Jeneva Rose, for this absolute masterpiece! This was the perfect addition to The Perfect Marriage, and I could not put it down. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story took another sharp turn, leaving me completely stunned—again. From start to finish, this book was a rollercoaster of twists, tension, and mind-blowing revelations. The suspense was relentless, keeping me on edge with every chapter.

This book dragged for me for the first 50%, it took me days to read the first part. I was honestly a bit confused with who was who, then once it all made sense and I hit 60% of the book. I didn’t put it down. Sarah is vengeance is a skirt and heels. She’s the head bitch in charge and is matriculate to the very end. Suspenseful and surprising consistent with who we know Sarah to be.

I liked this one better than The Perfect Marriage and I thought the writing was better. A twisty thriller the author's fans will enjoy.

Just as great, maybe even more diabolical, than The Perfect Marriage! First of all, if you have NOT read The Perfect Marriage yet, this review may contain spoilers. There will be no spoilers for this book. This book can be read as a stand alone but it will spoil The Perfect Marriage so I highly recommend reading that one first.

Sarah Morgan has moved on with her life after her husband, Adam, was convicted of killing his mistress and suffered the death penalty for his heinous crime. Or was it his crime? Nevertheless, Sarah married Bob Miller and they share a 9 yr old daughter, Summer. But Bob, like Adam, struggles with fidelity and now Sarah has to deal with another unfaithful husband. Will Bob survive or will he simply be cast aside after a nasty divorce?

This story is full of surprise twists and shocking moments. Jeneva Rose just keeps getting better and better at writing thrillers. And don’t miss the Acknowledgements section at the end of the book to hear some juicy secrets from this author. Put this one on your TBR….better yet, preorder the special edition; no one puts out more entertaining cover art and sprayed edges than Ms. Rose!

Thank you Netgalley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. This book will be available for purchase on April 15, 2025

A lot of times, I don't think sequels can compare to the original form of art. HOWEVER, this book was just as good, if not better than book one! I literally started this after work on Wednesday and was at 65% before the day was done. I read this in two sittings. If I didn't have to be responsible, I probably would have read it in one sitting. I loved that we got many perspectives because it felt like we were building a puzzle and getting different pieces at different times. There were so many good side plots and twists, and the resolution of it all was so fun to see played out. Also, don't forget to read the author's note for a little fun surprise.

If I had to say one negative thing, it's that I felt it was a little unnecessarily graphic. I am a pansy when it comes to icky stuff, so take this with a grain of salt. I don't think the extra descriptors or the excessive use of them added anything to the story. But with that said, I still think this is a 5-star read with or without them.

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 4/15!

4/5⭐️

The Perfect Divorce was a great sequel to Jeneva Rose’s ‘The Perfect Marriage’. Most times the original is better than the sequel but in this case the sequel outdid the original! I really enjoyed that the story was able to follow Sarah and Adam Morgan regarding the original case with Kelly Summers BUT then also a plethora of NEW cases were brought to light, so not only was I invested in what was going to be uncovered about Kelly Summers, but I was curious on what was happening with the new cases as well and who was involved and at the bottom of everything. The author has a way of convincing you that you know what is going on and then last minute making you think you’re wrong, AND THEN SWITCHING IT UP AGAIN. I don’t know how that is even possible! Overall, this was a great sequel and I do highly recommend it! I wasn’t a huge fan of The Perfect Marriage, but The Perfect Divorce was the saving grace of the series and I am looking forward to what comes next 😍

An incredible sequel that I highly recommend!
Aside from the book covers being appealing, Rose nailed every aspect of this book.

Oh my god, this one was worth the wait. I couldn’t put it down and flew thru it. It’s not often that a sequel is better than the first but ooooooo the dramatics!! 12 years later, mid divorce - I can’t wait to hear what everyone else thinks of this! I’m afraid to say too much in the review and give it anything away but: What. A. Thriller. (Note to everyone: read the acknowledgments!)

Sarah is one of my favorite characters! I read the perfect marriage and was so excited to roll right into reading this book. Sarah is still crafty as ever and always 10 steps ahead.... Poor Bob!

Well written, fast paced and the perfect amount of twists and turns.

I just devoured The Perfect Marriage and the Perfect Divorce in two days. Jeneva Rose delivers again.

Sarah Morgan is back again, this time with a vengeance. This one was more twisty than the first. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Sarah would do next.

Great follow up to "The Perfect Marriage".

Ten years after the previous book we see Sarah again this time getting divorced from Bob. But of course things are not as they seem, and past sins catch up to Sarah and Bob.

I liked the first book and I knew I was going to like the follow up. Of course the writing still flows and the characters are also still very thought out. As the previous the plot unfolds in a very convoluted way that still allows our infamous heroine to stay on top of the planning. Or at least that is what she thinks.

Great follow up to Jeneva's book

This is a psychological thriller with a sharp, suspenseful edge, unreliable narrators and shocking revelations! I loved it!

The story revolves around high-powered divorce attorney, Sarah Morgan and many others. I feel several things from the first book get summed up a little better in this one.

I gave the first book 3.5 stars but this one was so much better . Dark and twisty and full of surprises! The Perfect Divorce delivers a binge-worthy read.

Like most fans of The Perfect Marriage, I could not wait for the sequel. Based on that, I was quite pleased to receive the advanced readers copy prior to publication. If you enjoyed the first one, you should enjoy this one as well, although I must admit I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had done a refresher read on the first one prior to starting. Somehow, I just feel like I missed some nuances from the time in between.

This book brings back some of the characters from the first book as well as introducing some very interesting new options. The timeline is more than a decade from the original so Sarah has married again and had a child in that time. Unfortunately, her marriage to Bob has met a similar fate as Adam, in the fact that Bob has also cheated on her. So of course, she has filed for divorce.

As always, Jeneva has lots of twists in this one so you may constantly think you have figured out who is doing what. Some things I did figure out, but I admit I falsely accused one person in my mind for a bit. :) If you follow Jeneva on Social Media, you will find one characters name quite amusing. Overall, its an amusing take in the next installment of Sarah's attempts at a happily ever after. Good enough that you can finish it in a day or two if you choose.

A wonderful psychological thriller that I could not put down. The "perfect" follow up to The Perfect Marriage, with an even more twisted web. Great characterization that will have you hating so many people and unsure who is to blame right up to the very end.
