The plot thickens for Sarah in book 2. Another mystery thriller diving into Sarah’s life ten years after her ex-husbands death, a new tale explores her life with her husband Bob and their child Summer. The disappearance of a new woman begins to unravel the past. The twists and turns don’t stop until the end.
This dark, mysterious, medium-paced book will keep you hooked start to finish! A great continuation to The Perfect Marriage.

This book is a fantastic sequel to The Perfect Marriage. It answers questions that were remaining from the first book and continues the story in a way that makes sense. The twists weren’t too predictable. I read the book in one sitting so I think it definitely captures your attention:

Thanks to NetGalley for my ARC
I think this is the book that has finally made me realize that Jeneva Rose is not the author for me. This one was too over the top and twisty for my taste. It began to feel ridiculous and completely unbelievable. Also, the detective/police procedural storyline took up a huge chunk of the book. I would've liked to read more about Sarah herself.

The Perfect Divorce was tantalizing! I could not put it down or figure out what was going to happen next. The reader is introduced to Sarah and Bob. A couple recently heading towards a divorce. In the mist of this, the past unfolds and secrets will be unveiled. It was a fast paced read!

In "The Perfect Divorce," a span of eleven years has elapsed since the accomplished attorney Sarah Morgan represented her husband, Adam, in a murder trial. Having reconstructed her life by marrying Bob Miller and embarking on a family journey, Sarah's stability is disrupted upon learning of Bob's infidelity, prompting her to initiate divorce proceedings. The situation intensifies when new DNA evidence resurfaces in Adam's case, compelling law enforcement to reopen the investigation and thrusting Sarah once again into the public eye, reigniting interest in the unresolved murder mystery.
As Sarah and Bob navigate a contentious divorce, the atmosphere becomes increasingly fraught when the woman with whom Bob was unfaithful mysteriously disappears.. The narrative unfolds with multiple layers of suspense, akin to a strategic chess match. The unexpected plot twists cannot be anticipated and continue to allow one to be engaged with the novel. I couldn’t put this book down. The character developments and emotional upheavals of all are also present throughout the novel. Prior expectations were surpassed and the pacing was spot-on. The storyline was complex and diverse. I didn’t see the end coming. Not only could I not put this book down, but I am yearning for more by this author. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance review copy in exchange for my review.

Do NOT get on the wrong side of Sarah Morgan!!! This was not my first Jeneva Rose read but unfortunately it didn’t land as well for me as it appears to have for most readers. Yes, it was suspenseful, yes it was fast-moving but I found it predictable and oh so dark with a large side of disbelief. I really worry about the mental health of Sarah’s daughter and wondering if Jeneva Rose has plans for her….This was just an “ok” read for me. Thank you to Jeneva Rose, NetGalley, and Blackstone publishing for the chance to read an advanced copy of The Perfect Divorce. No doubt this book will have great success - it just wasn’t for me.

Just finished this ARC read and OMG. So many mysteries, so many crimes, but who did it?? 😱 If you haven’t read The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose yet, you have to read that one before The Perfect Divorce releases in April! 📚💥 The suspense in this book is unreal—every twist and turn kept me guessing! Expect secrets, lies, and jaw-dropping revelations. You won’t be able to put it down! 💯

I loved The Perfect Marriage and find Jeneva absolutely delightful on social media. I was nervous that The Perfect Divorce would not live up to my own expectations but that was in vain. The Perfect Divorce not only lived up to my expectations but exceeded them. This story went partially where I expected it to but also kept me guessing and surprised me multiple times. Sarah Morgan is in top form and watching her plans unfold is quite thrilling. The story moves along at a nice pace and kept me engaged the entire time. Definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you enjoyed the first book.

Ok…. This book was insane.
I was so excited and was so sure it would not be as good as The Perfect Marriage ( 2nd book is never as good)….. but Wowzer.
Finished this book in one day. It had me from the moment I started. Jeneva’s writing style is so easy to follow and read.
I would not cross that Sarah Miller. That’s all I am saying. :)
If you are looking for a great book that keeps you guessing til the very end with twist after twist this is IT. .
In my Top 5 of all time favorite books!!! ( The Perfect Marriage is my #1)

WOW! Jeneva Rose seamlessly continues with this sequel to 'The Perfect Marriage.' It had been some time since I had read the first in this series, so I went back and read the last few chapters to familiarize myself as to how it ended. 'The Perfect Divorce' picks up right where we left off. I found the characters engaging, the plot mysterious and suspenseful, and I was left with how did she do it again!?! I love a thriller that I cannot figure out who the killer is until the end... and to my joy and surprise, in the acknowledgements, Ms. Rose indicates that there will be a third in the series! I thoroughly enjoyed 'The Perfect Divorce' and look forward to reading more by Jeneva Rose. Thank you for the opportunity to pre-read and review!

The perfect follow on from The Perfect Marriage and with the mention of a third book in the acknowledgements… I can’t wait!!

3.5 Stars
This was a quick and fun sequel. It included all the twists and turns (some I guessed, others I didn't) I've come to expect from Jeneva Rose. Sarah, Bob, and even their daughter at times, were insufferable and yet I find myself rooting for them. (Well, except for Bob, I never rooted for him). The side characters (Hi, Alejandro) along with their storylines were interesting enough for their own book.
All around a good time. If you loved the first, you’ll love the second. Things have not calmed down for Sarah Morgan.
Sidenote: Make sure to read the acknowledgments. 🙂

🔪The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose🔪
Release Date: April 15, 2025
This is the highly anticipated sequel to The Perfect Marriage, and boy, did it deliver!
I seriously could not put this down. It was fast paced, scandalous, and well crafted- all things that I love in a domestic thriller. It also rotated between multiple POVs, so it kept me guessing until the very end.
I highly recommend TPD, especially if you loved The Perfect Marriage.
Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you, @netgalley for the ARC of this book! The way I screamed when my request was approved y’all 😂 I had already preordered this one because I loved The Perfect Marriage, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that I had the chance to read it early in exchange for my honest review.
🔪 Sarah is back and it’s 10 years after she defended her husband, even though the jury found him guilty. So is Bob, who’s her husband now.
🩸 Sarah and Bob’s marriage isn’t going great- surprise- and the book picks up when we find out why.
🔪 3 POV’s in this book, which made it a faster read. I enjoyed Sarah’s and the unknown’s the most, but do feel Bob’s added insight to the story we otherwise wouldn’t have gotten.
🩸 Spoiler free summary- Sheriff Stevens is arrested for a DUI, which leads to a connection to Kelly Summers murder, and problems for Sarah. Sarah doesn’t have problems though, she fixes them, and this story lets us go along as she does.
🔪 I’m a BIG Jeneva Rose fan. The Perfect Marriage and Home is Where the Bodies Are are some of my favorite thrillers. However, this book had too many similarities to the first one for it to stand out to me. This one wasn’t for me, but I’m looking forward to her next book!

Thank you to Jeneva Rose, NetGalley, and Blackstone publishing for the chance to read an advanced copy of The Perfect Divorce!
I’m not much of a thriller reader, but Jeneva’s writing has me hooked right from the start! I absolutely devoured this book in less than 48 hours because I simply couldn’t put it down. The twists and unexpected turns were everything I expected and more!

If you loved The Perfect Marriage then you are going to LOVE The Perfect Divorce. Jeneva Rose’s sequel is even better than the first. Sarah is always two steps ahead and doing so with confidence and the poise we’ve come to expect of her. With the return of previous characters we get an enjoyable sequel with twists you’ll never see coming. Be sure to also read the acknowledgment at the end. I can’t wait to read more from Jeneva Rose in the future.

Thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for providing this ARC.
If you are a fan of The Perfect Marriage, then you will most likely also enjoy its sequel, The Perfect Divorce. The sequel picks up with Sarah Morgan, remarried with a daughter but going through a divorce. Many characters from the first book make appearances in this follow up. Sarah is still cold & calculating. She may be a mother but one that has not changed, she will not tolerate betrayal.
This book takes you through as many twists & turns as the first. At times it's a little far fetched but it is a fictional story. I thought I had it all figured out towards the end but there was a small twist that I did not see coming.

Spoilers: Update: as I reflected on reading this book there were a few questions running through my head. How did Stacy get the gun in the basement? Sarah and Bob got married a year after Adam’s execution but Summer is 9? There was mention of Sarah and Bob getting married prior to Adam’s execution. Maybe I missed that in tasting this story?
The story was a slow burn until 88% of the way into the book. Towards the end of the book felt rushed and connected all the storylines and characters.
"The Perfect Divorce" by Jeneva Rose is a psychological thriller and the sequel to her bestselling novel, "The Perfect Marriage." The story follows Sarah Morgan, a high-powered attorney, as she navigates a tumultuous divorce from her second husband, Bob Miller. The narrative delves into themes of betrayal, suspense, and the complexities of relationships. Critics have praised the book for its gripping plot and unexpected twists. In The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose, the main characters are:
Sarah Morgan – The protagonist, a high-powered attorney who is navigating the complexities of a divorce from her second husband. She is intelligent, calculating, and determined, but also has flaws that make her vulnerable.
Bob Miller – Sarah’s second husband, whose relationship with her becomes increasingly strained. He is a key figure in the story, and his interactions with Sarah unravel throughout the book.
Jacob – Sarah’s ex-husband, who plays a significant role in the story’s dynamics. He is a pivotal character who adds complexity to Sarah’s life and her journey through her divorce.
Victoria – A secondary character who is an important part of Sarah’s social and professional life.
As the story unfolds, the narrative focuses on the tension and power struggles between Sarah and the people in her life, particularly her ex-husbands, all while secrets and lies come to light.
The book also introduces several other characters that play a role in driving the story forward, adding to the suspense and psychological twists.
There were a lot of characters in "The Perfect Divorce" that left me wondering who could be up to what throughout the story. Sometimes the amount of characters was a lot to keep track of their story lines. I carefully read this book at a slower pace so I could remember the character tree of who everyone was and their role throughout the storyline.

Am I going to say it? Absolutely. The Perfect Divorce was fantastic—dare I say, even better than the first. And that’s no small feat, considering sequels often struggle to live up to expectations. But this one? Flawless.
I fall for Jeneva Rose’s writing and masterful manipulation. The small refresher at the beginning was a nice touch—especially for those of us who devour so many books. Normally, I steer clear of sequels because of the long gaps between releases, which often require a full reread. But The Perfect Marriage? That one burned itself into my memory. It’s a book I always find myself talking about.
Now, onto The Perfect Divorce. We catch up with Sarah, who has moved on, started a family, and built a new life. Everything seems to be going perfectly—until, once again, she finds herself betrayed. Seriously, this woman has the worst luck with men. While we dive into the mess of her new marriage unraveling in an ugly, gasp-worthy separation, fresh evidence surfaces about her previous husband. And let’s just say—things get—messy. There are so many words, but I'm struggling to find a word that doesn't spoil how things get. Lol
Think you know where this is going? You don’t. Think you’ve got it figured out? Still no. The twists keep you turning pages at an alarming rate.
If you loved The Perfect Marriage, you’re going to love The Perfect Divorce. And judging by the way this one ends—not exactly a cliffhanger, but definitely an it-could-go-either-way situation—I strongly feel a third book could be in the mix. Fingers crossed!

Thanks to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sarah Morgan's husband Adam was accused of murdering his mistress several years back and she defended him in court. He was recently put to death and now she is married to Bob. Bob has been unfaithful and Sarah is divorcing him. When the woman he was sleeping with goes missing, Bob is a main suspect and this time Sarah isn't defending him.
This was a good read. I don't know that I liked it as much as The Perfect Marriage which I recall that I couldn't put down, but overall it was pretty good and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
