Jeneva has done it again! She twists the story over and over to where you cannot figure out the end and makes you not want to put the book down! I didn't think that she could top the first one but its truly hard to pick which one is my favorite. At first, I kinda wished I would have reread The Perfect Marriage before diving into this, but it didn't take me too long to remember the characters and the original story. Short chapters and different point of views also kept me wanting to read more and more. Thank you for an arc in exchange for an honest review! I would highly recommend this book!

I am in Jeneva Rose's Facebook group, so I had been requesting this advance reader copy from there for a while. I was very excited when I was approved by the publisher, Blackstone Publishing, on NetGalley. I was late to the party, I didn't know about The Perfect Marriage until it was rereleased with updates. I admit the drama with Scott piqued my interest, but once I read the first book I was hooked. Well, the first book also included a sneak peek into this book that made me pre-order it to get the swag.
To the story, we started with Sarah having a happy life with Bob and Summer. Well, I guess we didn't learn our lesson from infidelity in the first book, so here we go again. I loved the various points of view we got to read this story from, as I admit I was confused at first. I could not put this book down and I was eager to finish it as I heard mentions of a third book.

*The Perfect Divorce* is the first book by Jeneva Rose that I’ve read. I didn’t realize it was the second in a series until I was halfway through. Because of that, it took me some time to piece everything together—there was a lot going on! But once it all clicked, I found it to be a great read with plenty of twists.
The story follows Bob and Sarah, a couple going through a messy divorce. As tensions rise, shocking details emerge about a past murder that indirectly involved Sarah—or did it? The characters were well-written, the side plot was intriguing, and the ending completely caught me off guard.
I think this book would be even better if you read the first one beforehand (which I now plan to do!). It was a real page-turner with lots of unexpected moments.
*** Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC.

Just when I don’t think this story could get any better, BAM. Jeneva does it again. So many surprises and twists, just so so good. You will not want to put this book down!

I absolutely loved The Perfect Marriage, it is one of my all time favorite audiobooks, so I jumped when I saw this book up and dropped everything to read it.
I did not enjoy this one as much as The Perfect Marriage as this one read more police procedural for me at times then domestic thriller, and I much prefer domestic thrillers. There was a question in the book that I felt was glossed over and not resolved. I would have liked a little more resolution on that one specific thing that happened. But other than those two things I found it very enjoyable and am glad I read it. I would definitely recommend this one to Jeneva Rose fans and fans of the original, I definitely think they will be pleased.
I never end up liking sequels as much as the original, but it's always fun to visit the main characters again. If a book three comes out I am sure I will read that one as well.
Thanks to Blackstone Publishing for my copy.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a suspenseful follow-up to The Perfect Marriage. Eleven years after Sarah Morgan helped her husband, Adam, avoid a murder conviction, she’s moved on with a new life and a new husband, Bob. When Sarah discovers Bob’s affair, she files for divorce, but things quickly spiral out of control as new DNA evidence resurfaces in Adam’s case, reopening old wounds.
As the investigation intensifies, Bob’s one-night fling goes missing, and the tension between Sarah and Bob escalates into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. While the book is filled with twists, suspense, and Rose’s signature red herrings, the pacing sometimes feels uneven, and some emotional moments could have been more developed. However, the suspense is undeniably gripping, and fans of The Perfect Marriage will appreciate the high stakes and intrigue.
A solid 4-star read, it delivers a thrilling ride but leaves some room for more character depth. I did not expect a sequel to the first book whatsoever, so it certainly came as a shock to see what happened, happen. As much as it’s an enjoyable read, I would have preferred it stuck to one book to keep the mystery more gripping. Once again, a very good book, but it truly could have gone without a sequel.

Solid 4 stars. Easy read, easy language to follow, and entertaining storyline. Does not come close to The Perfect Marriage, but very entertaining regardless. Give it a try, especially if you love other works by Jeneva Rose. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Oh, Jeneva Rose... how do you create these crazy twists and turns that no one can predict?! The Perfect Divorce is the perfect follow-up to The Perfect Marriage. Sarah and Bob are headed for divorce despite Bob's futile attempts at a reconciliation, even though he made the unforgivable mistake of having a one night stand. Sarah is sticking to her guns as she juggles their separation and the shocking evidence that has just come to light about her former husband Adam's possible innocence. As we all know, Sarah famously defended him in the murder case of his former mistress and then (joyously) watched him take his last breaths when he was sentenced to death. And yes, she's just as brutal and conniving in the sequel... but now Bob is determined to put an end to her path of destruction before he becomes her next victim. Throw in some police officers eager to fix their past mistakes and a gorgeous ex-felon who Sarah's foundation is helping get back on his feet, and you have all of the ingredients for a perfect sequel.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this deliciously twisted and completely unpredictable thriller that could only come from Jeneva Rose.

This was a great follow up to The Perfect Marriage, but also could work for someone who hasn't read the first book. I read it in two days. Jeneva's writing is sharper than ever and the story was easy to follow. I enjoyed the POVs of Sarah and Bob more than the detective POV, but people who gravitate to police procedurals will probably appreciate the detail about the investigation. The ending wasn't a surprise but it was still satisfying and in keeping with the spirit of the first novel. Well done!

The sequel that I never knew I needed!!!
The first book in this series was wonderful- dark, twisty, and kept me thinking until the very last page. And that very last page had the story wrapped up so nicely... or so I thought...
This was an amazing addition to the story & characters. It captured the same spirit and thrill as the first. It kept me thinking about all the different possible outcomes until the very end. I was so upset when I wasn't able to finish this one in one sitting. This is an absolute MUST READ (and when you do read it, be sure to read through the acknowledgements at the end!!).
Thank you to both NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for an opportunity to read and review this title!
Format: NetGalley ebook
Genre: Mystery / Thriller
Overall score:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .75

So, I had never read the first book in this series. In fact, I had zero idea that this was the second book until I read the author’s acknowledgements. I love that this book doesn’t have to be read in order. I am sure it would have added to the story or given me an idea about the crazy ride I was about to go on, but it didn’t take away from me enjoying this book, and I really enjoyed this book. The fact that there is going to be a third book makes me excited as well. This book grabs you from the start and once you start diving in you learn quickly that nothing is what it seems, and that Sarah and Bob are both extremely twisted individuals. Trust me when I say you want to go on this crazy ride. I know divorce can get messy, but this is messy in all the right ways if you like twists and turns.
Thank you so much to Blackstone Publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

Ahhhh! I was so excited to win this ARC from Jeneva - THANK YOU! This book releases on April 15 - and yes, I already have my signed copy preordered.
I highly recommend reading (or rereading like | did) The Perfect Marriage before reading The Perfect Divorce. The story line is great and there were some twists I didn't see coming! Jeneva has done a great job with creating the character Sarah Morgan and this book was just amazing. I can't wait for the next one!

In the sequel to "A Perfect Marriage" we are once again subject to attorney Sarah Morgan's blackhearted, methodical, and unemotiomal quest to rid herself of her husband Bob, who had a one night stand. But Bob, a fellow high profile attorney, is not going down without a fight (and a blackmail attempt or two). Bob knows too much about Sarah's past so he's really gotta go, all the while more disappearances start happening in Sarah's and Bob's orbit. Such a fun, fast-paced story.
(Side Note: As a fellow matrimonial attorney, the scenes of the four-way and all the legal terminology/procedures were accurate. Kudos to you, Jeneva! It's so hard to read a book where you know it literally doesn't work that way!)

I really liked this one! The first one and this one were both 4 stars! I love the twists. This one was very predictable but I didn’t mind that!

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a suspenseful thriller about a seemingly perfect marriage unraveling due to betrayal and hidden secrets. The sharp writing and engaging characters keep you on edge, with twists that make you question who can be trusted. Rose expertly blends psychological depth with tension, exploring power, manipulation, and the dark truths behind a divorce. A must-read for fans of psychological thrillers, with an ending that will leave you breathless.

If you liked "The Perfect Marriage," you'll enjoy this sequel. I rated "The Perfect Marriage" as 3.5 stars, and I am giving the same rating to this book (rounded down to a 3). I liked the storyline, but got bored in the middle of the book. The last 80% though, it really picked up and I enjoyed the ending. To me, "One Of Us Is Dead" is Rose's best book, and if you haven't read it yet, definitely add it to your list!

Ohmygosh - I don’t think I’m okay after this book. This is the sequel we needed. I will be sitting here staring at the wall for the foreseeable future, trying to process all that just happened. Slightly annoyed that my body needed sleep when I was ready to finish this in one night. Also may need surgery as my jaw has been dropped to the floor for hours. Many people have said this and I do agree - a sequel is rarely ever better than the first and here it is. Here is the rare book. And the first one was absolutely phenomenal. If you take anything from this, please put your seatbelt for safe impact on this journey. Jeneva is a bloody mastermind and she’s the author we’ve always needed. I appreciate there are some refreshers in this book to remind you what happened in the first as my mind doesn’t remember everything sometimes when it’s been longer than a day 😂.
Thank you so much Jeneva Rose and the publishers for an ARC of The Perfect Divorce!

Jeneva Rose has brought Sarah Morgan back to life and although she is a sociopath, I love her. This book has me looking at every single detail written because I want to figure out not only what happened but how and why and Jeneva Rose did not disappoint. It is not entirely necessary to have read The Perfect Marriage to read this book since they reference the events in the book a lot in The Perfect Divorce, however, if you have read the previous book, it makes it much more enjoyable.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.
I very much enjoyed this book. The writing was great and the characters were well developed. I hope to read more from this author in the future.

Thank you Netgalley and Blackstone publishing for the ARC! This book was great! However I did predict some twists there were still some I was like oh wow! I can’t wait for the next one to come out and see what’s next!
