I wouldn’t be giving an honest review without stating that I am one of Jeneva’s silly geese. With that being said I had high expectations for The Perfect Divorce, and holy shit did she deliver. I could not put this book down because I needed to know who was causing all the chaos. Jeneva blew me away with this book, she had me sweating in parts of this book thinking shit was going to go very south with Sarah. I’m going to go ahead and warn you that there will be spoilers in this review so if you are going to read this book, then just go ahead and stop here.

This book is about Sarah’s life after her first husband was put to death in prison. Sarah marries Bob Miller, and has a daughter with him. Bob sleeps with another woman and breaks Sarah’s trust leading to her wanting a divorce. Bob does not want a divorce or agree with Sarah wanting full custody of Summer. This starts a dirty war of Bob trying to get Sarah convicted of Kelly Summers murder. Women are going missing, the ex sheriff who arrested Adam Morgan for murder hits and kills someone, attempts suicide and then ends up murdered. There is so much going on within this novel & trying to decipher who is doing what was my favorite part. I could not stop trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

The Perfect Divorce was good. Love many stories by Jeneva Rose. The story was good, but after reading The Perfect Marriage, I knew the twist was coming and actually guessed the ending, unlike I didn’t guess the twist in The Perfect Marriage.

I honestly loved this read so much! I will have to say perfect marriage was higher up for me but this was still an amazing read as well! I could just picture Jeneva cackling as she wrote some of this which made it even better 😂 So glad I received this as an arc !

I enjoyed the suspense and drama of The Perfect Divorce! I felt like it was better than The Perfect Marriage. It was fast-paced and interesting with short chapters (always a plus for me). The dynamics between the characters, specifically Sarah and Bob, are excellent. You can never tell if they hate each other, love each other, frustrated with each other, or strongly dislike each other. It really is all of the above.

I can't talk about a lot of the book because it will give things away, but there was definitely one twist that I did not expect. The book kept me reading and interested in the story.

I had two issues with the book. The first is that the reveals at the end were told to the reader. I expected more from the ending. The other issue that I had is that people really had to read the first book. I read it a while ago and couldn't remember pieces of it. Some of the information is released within this second book, but it's really important to remember parts of the first one. I had to read a recap, and I don't think I would have enjoyed this book as much if I hadn't read a recap.

Thanks for the ARC!

f you enjoyed The Perfect Marriage, then you’ll likely be just as captivated by its sequel, The Perfect Divorce.

The story picks up with Sarah Morgan—now remarried with a daughter—navigating yet another messy divorce. Many familiar faces from the first book return, and while Sarah may have stepped into the role of mother, she remains as cold and calculating as ever. One thing about Sarah? She does not tolerate betrayal.

Much like its predecessor, this book is packed with twists and turns, keeping you guessing until the very end. Some moments may feel a bit far-fetched, but hey—it’s fiction, and it makes for an entertaining ride. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, a last-minute twist completely caught me off guard. If you love psychological thrillers with shocking reveals, this one is worth the read!

The twists and turns never stopped. I wasn't sure how Jeneva would do a book two after the ending of the first, so this was a pleasant surprise!

Sarah and Bob have been married for several years. And now their past could be coming back to haunt them. When Bob's one night stand goes missing, he's now the suspect. The beloved Sheriff is neck deep in legal trouble.

I enjoyed how fast pace this was. There was always something happening and it kept you on your toes. One of my biggest frustrations with the first book on the reread was that everything wraps up in the last few pages. I enjoyed how there were twisty reveals throughout the story.
It did feel like the sheriff storyline was unnecessary though.

Positives: fast paced, keeps you continually, unreliable narrator
Negative: a lot of story lines at once, unreliable narrator

The biggest thank you to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for an eARC of this book! All opinions are my own!

Dare I say it?! I think Jeneva’s sequel was better than the original, and I definitely loved The Perfect Marriage. But I do feel that this one was a little bit more exciting/faster-paced. I truly did not want to put it down. And wow, Sarah is something else—can’t wait to hear even more of her story, as Jeneva said that it is not complete yet! I will read literally everything she writes. One of my fave authors! Thank you for the opportunity to read this ahead of publication date.

5 stars 💫 Jeneva Rose does it again!! The Perfect Marriage was one of the first thrillers I read when I got back into reading a few years ago. So I was beyond excited to read The Perfect Divorce!! It did not disappoint! It’s fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was the perfect sequel to The Perfect Marriage.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Good follow up to the original novel. Lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Can’t wait for the next book!

I read The Perfect Marriage about 4 months ago and gave it 3 stars. I struggled with the sloppy police procedures and unlikely-ness of many aspects. And, honestly, the ending reveal made me feel tricked, but this book addresses it all and makes me less salty. I think if I re-read TPM now I would appreciate it more because everything is addressed and comes together. TPM ending left me not trusting any of the characters this time around. I love Sarah’s mannerisms and demeanor! She’s not your typical damsel in distress cliche. This book has A LOT going on. It kept my attention and I was able to breeze through it within a couple days. Whether you loved TPM or felt meh about it, I highly recommend reading The Perfect Divorce!

Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. This review will be shared on NetGalley and Goodreads.

(4.75 stars) I’ve been a huge Jeneva Rose fan since 2022, so I was BEYOND ecstatic to win an ARC of The Perfect Divorce!

If there’s one thing about Jeneva, it’s that she is always going to keep you on the edge of your seat. I love her writing—it’s bingeable, fast-paced, and you’re going to think you have the plot twist figured out, but you don’t.

I am notorious for not being able to guess a plot twist. But with this book especially, there’s no way my brain could’ve guessed the entirety of the twist. This story has several moving parts that will have you questioning everything. When Jeneva finally revealed the answers to my burning questions, she left no stone unturned. She gave me an explanation for every little thing that happened, and damn…what an ending.

This book releases on April 15, 2025, and you don’t want to miss it—not only for the story, but also because Jeneva shares a crazy, deep, dark secret in the acknowledgements…

A great follow up to the forst book. We get to follow Sarah again as she maneuvers her way through life after the last events of the previous book! You definitely need to read the The Perfect Marriage first. If not, you will have some catching up to go om plots and characters.

Sarah Morgan is back .. 11 years after her first husband Adam is convicted of Kelly’s murder. New evidence turns up and Adam is posthumously exonerated and of course a law suit ensues. This time Sarah is in the process of separating from her husband, Bob, as he was unfaithful (a one night stand with Stacy). Bob is delaying the proceedings as he wants to reconcile, something which Sarah is not interested in. Curiously, Stacy dissapears, as does Bob’s hairdresser, Carissa. What has Bob been up to, or is the more important question what has Sarah been up to? A fun, clever, well written sequel to The Perfect Marriage.

The Perfect Divorce picks up 11 years after the ending of The Perfect Marriage. Adam has been dead and Sarah and Bob have lived happily married for years. However, trouble is brewing and the two have separated due to Bob's affair. In the midst of this separation and brutal custody battle, new evidence is brought forth in the Kelly Summer's case -- evidence that could upend Sarah's life. Knowing she can't trust Bob, and Bob knowing he can't trust Sarah, the two end up trying to be the first to best the other. What ensues is a fun game of cat and mouse that leaves the reader questioning how far one would go to protect their own skin.

Overall, I liked this book better than The Perfect Marriage. I enjoyed The Perfect Marriage for being a fun and enjoyable, light read. While this was also a light read, I feel like Jeneva Rose has grown in her ability as a writer and in her ability to weave a good story. This book is not perfect. In fact, there was a lot going on where I had to remember who was who and hang onto minor details to help the story come together. That said, it did take some twists and turns I didn't see coming and I liked the way things came together much better than the first book.

I have grown to enjoy Sarah. I love how cunning she is and how she always seems to be one step ahead. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who loved the first book because they are bound to love this one even more! Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the chance to read this book early in exchange for a review. I also was fortunate enough to meet Jeneva Rose at the Barnes and Noble Book Con and she was such a gem! I can't wait to read more of her work!

This is such a fun book. I love just turning my mind off and enjoying the ride. Taking notes was a must, for me, because there were a lot of characters and things happening that I felt I needed to keep straight. I found myself rooting for absolutely nobody in this book. Not sure if that was intentional by the author or not. Most of these characters have their own unlikable qualities that I’d honestly be fine with any of them coming out on top.

I loved this book! Jeneva Rose has yet to disappoint. She can write twists like no other authors I've read. I definitely look forward to all other books JR comes out with!

The Perfect Marriage was my all time favorite book, so I was so thankful to receive an ARC of this book.

Geneva Rose has delivered another entertaining read, and I zipped through it in a single afternoon. The wit and snappy dialogue that made her first book so enjoyable are definitely present here. I found myself chuckling at several points, and the characters, while perhaps a bit archetypal, were engaging enough to keep me invested.

However, I couldn't help but feel a slight sense of disappointment compared to her previous work. While the first book had me on the edge of my seat with its twists and turns, The Perfect Divorce felt far more predictable. The plot unfolded rather linearly, and I guessed most of the major reveals well in advance. It lacked the gripping suspense that made the first book so memorable.

Still, if you're looking for a light, breezy, and entertaining read to pass the time, The Perfect Divorce certainly delivers. Just don't expect the same level of nail-biting suspense as before. It's an enjoyable, albeit less impactful, follow-up.

Whew! What a turn of events; my mind is still reeling. Sarah Morgan has to be one of my favorite characters in a book to date.

We enter Sarah’s life just over a decade after The Perfect Marriage ended, and she is just as legendary as ever. Familiar characters return, as well as some new individuals that make the story that much more exciting.

My favorite kind of thriller is one that has me guessing the entire time. Something I’ve noticed with Jeneva’s writing is that when I think I’ve figured it all out, something happens to show me that I can still be caught off guard. Twist after twist!

I highly suggest reading The Perfect Marriage prior to starting The Perfect Divorce! It makes it feel like you never left the plot, and the immersion is truly just SO GOOD.

As with the previous book, The Perfect Divorce had me guessing until the last page. Can you be in love with a book like this? I think I am.

Thank you to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC, and to Jeneva Rose for being a fantastic writer: I will keep coming back for more!
