I reread (listened) to The Perfect Marriage before starting The Perfect Divorce just to remind myself of the details. I highly recommend you do this too! This is definitely a sequel where the first book is referenced a whole bunch so being fresh on the characters and plot helped me to enjoy the continued story.
I think I liked The Divorce even more than The Marriage, but there were some easy to guess twists along with some cheesy ones. But overall, it was fun to revisit Sarah Morgan and her devious traits. Looking forward to another (read the acknowledgement)!
Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC e-copy in exchange for an honest review!

First I'd like to thank the publisher, Blackstone, the author and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review. I genuinely enjoy Jeneva Rose's books, and think they're fun, twisty, and fast reads. The Perfect Marriage was one of my faves when I read it, so when The Perfect Divorce was announced I was thrilled! I don't think this one was AS great as The Perfect Marriage for me, because man that book had the best plot twist, but this was a crazy story with twists and turns and gasps every couple of chapters. If you liked book one, you'll definitely want to preorder your copy of this one! Four enthusiastic stars from me!

A GREAT second part to a thrilling story! It kept me wondering just how far Sarah is willing to go to get what she wants. You love to hate the characters and it’s hard to know who you’re rooting for, if it’s anyone at all!
This book is not a stand alone and the first part needs to be read beforehand. I read it too long ago and think I would’ve enjoyed the perfect divorce more if I wasn’t foggy on the details of the first one!

Whoooooo!! It was everything I expected and so much more. Calculated. Risky. Mind boggling. I was predicting and changing my prediction at every turn.

4.5 ⭐️ Rounded up to 5 for reviews!
Jeneva literally never disappoints!! I honestly thought there was no way this book could be better than the first, but she proved me wrong. This one is even better 🤯
Very fast paced. Very thrilling. Very jaw dropping. Everyone gets waxed.
Amazing!!
Thank you Net Galley for the ARC 🫶🏼

I feel that it is important I start this review by stating I only condone violence and murder in fiction. Now that that is established, I was just waiting to see how Sarah took Bob out. In fact, I was rooting for her.
The Perfect Divorce was a perfect (pun intended and planned) sequel to The Perfect Marriage. No notes, in fact I'm taking notes- for legal reasons, this is a joke. Rose plots so well and intricately I didn't even try to guess the ending- I simply went along for the ride. The pacing was excellent. There were times I questioned whether certain parts were necessary but everything truly served the story- nothing was superfluous. Overall, this sequel was perfect (again, intended and planned.)
I looked back at my review for The Perfect Marriage and revisited some questions I had. Some of them were answered in The Perfect Divorce. I also very accurately predicted Sarah would eventually kill Bob.
Once again, I was sus of everyone. I'm glad we got to revisit many of the characters from the first book. Anne, I'm so sorry U ever doubted you, although you probably have some skeletons in your closet just waiting to be dusted off. Adam's mom still irritated me and I wasn't that saddened by her fate. I'm very curious to see how Sarah and Bob's daughter will turn out given her crazy parents. As she was only ten, she wasn't very prominent and almost definitely not fully aware of what was going on but she won't escape her childhood unscathed. I was sus of Alejandro- rightfully so- but wasn't sure why. I really didn't expect his connection to Bob to be that deep. Speaking of Bob, I couldn't wait to see how Sarah got him back. He irritated me so badly. Bob's (rightful) paranoia ultimately got him unalived and that just felt poetic. I do feel a little bad for the girl who got caught in the crossfire between Sarah and Bob. I'm convinced Sarah could outlive a cockroach. I didn't think for one second Sarah would be killed. She's always a step ahead and usually the one pulling the strings. I'm very curious about what the dynamic between her and Summer will become. Sarah is pretty narcissistic but she does love her daughter.
I really enjoyed that we got multiple POVs, I liked hearing everyone's thoughts, especially getting to see Bob go crazy. I loved getting back into Sarah's terrifying mind.
Let's take a moment to appreciate the twists. Alejandro was a pleasant but certainly not unexpected surprise. His whole story was very intriguing and I wish Bob could have learned it all. I'm excited to see where he goes next. Sarah pretending to be the other kidnapped girl was good I did not see that coming. Sarah is truly diabolical.
The twists were twisty, the characters were sus, and the plot was thick. I cannot recommend The Perfect Divorce enough!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
The shocking sequel to Jeneva Rose’s multimillion-copy bestselling thriller, The Perfect Marriage.
It’s been eleven years since high-powered attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has long since moved on, starting a family with her new husband, Bob Miller, and changing careers. Her life is back to being exactly how she always wanted … or is it?
This book is full of twists, turns, and spellbinding suspense that only a brilliant mind like Jeneva Rose can put to the page… She has a remarkable way of telling a story that feels like it’s egging the reader onto keep turning the pages. I struggled to set this one down.
Jeneva Rose has plotted a stunning game of cat and mouse as Sarah Morgan and her 2nd husband Bob are after each other in multiple ways following Bob’s cheating and Sarah pulling the immediate trigger for a divorce… Who will come out on top in the end: read and find out.

The Perfect Divorce is a thrilling, psychological drama that will keep you guessing until the very last page. From the very beginning, the novel sets up a tense and suspenseful cat-and-mouse game between Sarah and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Bob. As they navigate the murky waters of their divorce, Bob is convinced that Sarah is plotting against him, while Sarah views Bob's paranoia as irrational and exhausting. The push and pull between their conflicting perceptions creates an intense dynamic that keeps you hooked, chapter after chapter.
Jeneva Rose builds suspense, leaving readers unsure of who to root for. Just when you think you have the story figured out, she throws in a twist that forces you to reconsider everything.
One piece of advice for potential readers: if you haven’t already, I would highly recommend reading her first book, The Perfect Marriage, either before or alongside The Perfect Divorce. There’s a strong connection between the two stories, and some characters, names, and subplots may be confusing without the context of the previous book. It’s not a requirement, but it'll make more sense.
Overall, The Perfect Divorce is a fantastic read for fans of psychological thrillers, and Jeneva Rose delivers a suspenseful, twist-filled ride that will leave you thinking long after the book is finished. Highly recommended!

Such a great sequel we don’t know we needed! We rejoin the story years after her first husband was executed. The story kept you guessing who was the true killer, lots of twist and turns in this book. Can’t wait for the next one

Jeneva Rose outdid herself again with "The Perfect Divorce". Usually I feel that second novels that follow a strong story line in the first fall short in character development and underwhelming plot., this was not the case with the second of this series! I truly feel that the sequel is better than the original. Sarah is back again with a vendetta and a reason. Sarah is powerful, has an agenda, and I love her and her inner thoughts and working's. So many twists and turns, alternative point of view's, and rooting for the villain (or not, depending on the perspective). "The Perfect Divorce" did not fall short. It served up great up and down's of twists and turns and looking for a resolution outcome between Sarah, Adam's unresolved case, and the separation/divorce affairs of Bob.
If you're looking for a new thriller with many twists and turns, a great plot, please look no further. I am so grateful to Blackstone Publishing, Net Galley and Jeneva Rose for this outstanding new thriller/suspense! I am looking forward to recommending this to my friends and family and teacher friends in my book clubs.

I read (and absolutely loved) The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose several years ago, so I was ecstatic to receive an ARC of The Perfect Divorce! This sequel did not disappoint!
The Perfect Divorce continues to follow Sarah Morgan 11 years after the events of The Perfect Marriage and finds her married to Bob Miller and together they have a daughter Summer. At the start of the story, Sarah has recently discovered that Bob had a one night stand and files for divorce immediately. During this ugly separation, new evidence causes Adam's case from the first book to be reopened and suddenly Bob's one night stand is missing. This causes Bob and Sarah to engage in a cat and mouse series of events where only one person can come out the true winner.
Jeneva Rose did a great job continuing the story she began in The Perfect Marriage. I love how she tied all of these smaller events together by the end of the story and was shocked, but not shocked at the same time by the ending of the story. I had guessed what had happened earlier on but then became convinced that I was totally wrong because of other details written into the story.
Thank you to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC of this book!

I’m giving this a 3.5! I really enjoyed this book. It took me a while to get into mainly because I read the first The Perfect Marriage back in August and completely forgot what happened… but once I refreshed my memory I was right back into it. I really enjoyed the split narration between several different characters, and I especially liked how unreliable they all were. Ultimately, I was able to figure out a few of the details before they were figured out in the story, but it was still really fun. I struggle to find who I’m “rooting” for in Jeneva Rose’s books, but I like that! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book!

When I got the ARC l literally screamed! @jenevaroseauthor is one of my favorite thriller authors, I love everything she's written.
I took a little break from thrillers, but I am officially back in my thriller era. I was having a hard time finding thrillers that kept my attention, then comes this book!!!
I loved the twists and turns as the story unfolds. Sarah Morgan stands on business and she is one of my favorite characters of all time.
This is the sequel to The Perfect Marriage. The way that Bob and Sarah both try to outdo each other with their conniving plans is *chef's kiss* | love a revenge plan!
This is a must read if you're a thriller lover, just be sure to read The Perfect Marriage first!
This book releases on April 15!

Jeneva Rose does it again with The Perfect Divorce!!! I read this in about a day and a half (it would have been one day if I didn’t have to work). I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole reading experience and thought I had figured it out only to be bamboozled.
For me, it was a cat and mouse game, a rollercoaster of suspense, a brilliant chess game being played through the written lines on a page. Sarah Morgan’s story keeps you hooked from the first word until the last word. The Perfect Divorce is an addictive read, and one I will read again in the future.
I would give this a 4.5-5 star rating because it is rare I will stay up reading to finish a book, and I did with this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the privilege of reading this ARC.

A HUGE thank you to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for sending me this LONG anticipated ARC. AHHHH!! I don't even know where to begin because this book was everything I could have wanted and more. I love Jeneva Rose and her ability to craft a novel that leaves readers in suspense. Did I think I had it all figured out? Oh yes. Was I even close? Nope. This book was an excellent sequel to her first, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for us!

3.25 stars - The sequel to The Perfect Marriage- publishes April 15th. It takes place 11 years after the first book and follows lawyer Sarah Morgan in another crumbling marriage. Meanwhile, new evidence reopens her ex husband Adam’s case (from book 1)
I don’t often think a good book necessarily needs a sequel and while I did enjoy this book overall, I think we could’ve just left well enough alone. While I was entertained and engaged throughout, there comes this type of predictably with a sequel when you have a story end the way the first book did.
While I did find this book to lead exactly where I thought it would from the get go, there were little twists and details thrown in throughout that I wasn’t expecting and enjoyed.
Overall, I think it was a solid and enjoyable but ultimately unnecessary sequel. I’d say read it if you enjoyed the first one.

OHHH MY. So, i was a LITTLLEEE worried about this one because i loved The Perfect Marriage and I was concerned that this wouldn’t live up to that hype, but it absolutely did!
I really loved the various points of view in this book! It gave you such a well rounded view and made you constantly sitting on your toes to see who was actually behind everything.
I lovedddddd the ending and how everything played out. I had my jaw on the floor for the last 10% of the book - literally the entire time.
Everytime I thought I had it worked out at what was going on, i was wrong. Is the ending SOMEWHAT predictable? yes. Is it fully predictable? No. Was it still a great time the entire time? Yes.
I really just love Jeneva’s writing - it’s bingable
and easy to read and keeps you on your seat the entire time!
I even dare to say (maybe), I may have enjoyed the Perfect Divorce better than book 1! 🙈

This was one of those rare occasions when the sequel was better than the first. Not only was this better written, but this was also better researched (take that, Scott) and highly addictive. The protagonist is a seriously flawed but somehow likable person and whip smart to boot. This was a narcissistic cat and mouse chase full of secrets and lies at every turn. The pacing was pristine, and there wasn't a dull moment. Four stars.
Thank you to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC.

Huge thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for an early copy of this book in exchange for a review. 😊 I went into this book thinking The Perfect Marriage didn’t need a sequel… But now I’m glad it got one! I felt like this really built on what was established in the first book… and set us up for a third 👀. This was twisty.. manipulative.. and full of people trying to outsmart eachother. The characters aren’t great people… but you can’t help but be drawn to the schemes and crimes they’ll commit next. I was entertained by this and enjoyed myself throughout. A good read for mystery/thriller lovers 😊.
