It's often said a sequel to a book is not as good as the original, but Holy Heaven!!! The Perfect Divorce in my opinion is better than The Perfect Marriage! Jeneva Rose did not disappoint with this absolutely diabolical part two to Sarah Morgan's story.

Fast forward and Sarah Morgan is at it again...or should we say still. The twists keep coming, each one more shocking than the last. You think you know where this is headed but then BAM!! It takes a totally different direction. As soon as I could catch my breath I was gasping again. This was one fun, twisty ride I never wanted to end. As with the first, the writing is captivating and draws you right in. Short chapters and a smooth flow of writing make this binge worthy. I highly recommend this but suggest reading the Perfect Marriage first to get the full effect of Sarah Morgan's scheming persona.

Thanks to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the advanced copy

The perfect follow up to the perfect marriage. Deliciously messy, murder, in a small town, crime cover ups and the messy divorce of two lawyers who are at the center of town scrutiny. I devoured this book. The multiple povs made it such a fast read.

If I had a penny for every time Sarah Morgan’s husband was accused of murdering and/or kidnapping a woman, I would have 3 pennies. One for her first husband Adam in TPM and two more for her current husband, Bob, in TPD. I loved TPM and consider it Jeneva Rose’s best book and TPD is a pretty damn good sequel. It was just as twisty and turny but I know Sarah well enough as a character that I was able to piece together *some* of the clues. Jeneva, if you’re reading this, I want more Sarah please!

Overall I really liked this one. I’m a big fan of Jeneva Rose and The Perfect Marriage was my favorite book by her. I was excited to get my hands on this one early. It sucked me in right from the beginning and even though the story was told from multiple POV, it flowed seamlessly. The ending was a little bit wild, and reminded me a bit of Freida McFadden’s writing. Moral of the story… Don’t f*ck with Sarah Morgan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sarah and Bob are unhappily married and headed for divorce. Both are attorneys and work hard to stay one step ahead of the other one. The secrets they harbor are life altering for both of them, but in light of Bob's affair Sarah decides she can no longer be with him. Sarah's first husband, Adam, was executed after being convicted of murdering his mistress. Sarah has all she needs in life; her daughter and her foundation. However, she must stay in tune to what Bob has planned for her to survive.

I really wish I had reread The Perfect Marriage before reading this. There was so much I had forgotten. The twists and turns were absolutely wild in that book and the same was true in this one. Once Rose spelled out the ending, it all made sense and now I feel like I need to reread this one just to catch up on all the things she wove throughout the book. I enjoyed it very much and will recommend for sure!

I had NO idea a follow up to "The Perfect Marriage" was in the works, so you can imagine my surprise when I found this one on Netgalley! Sarah is back to her antics after a decade, but this one felt even darker and more sinister than the first.

Yet again, Rose hit a home run with pacing, alternating POVs, and plenty of twisty surprises - I think I actually enjoyed this one better than the original as her writing felt more developed and suspenseful than its predecessor. While enjoyable, the last one was a little predictable which was the complete opposite of "The Perfect Divorce". With this ending, I reeeeeally hope we'll get another...I have so many questions!

Thanks so much for the ARC!

This was the perfect follow up to The Perfect Marriage! I initially wasn't super into the many POVs but the further it went, the more I got in to it. It flowed well enough that I could keep up and was fun to experience each issue first hand from each character.

Jeneva had me hooked and constantly guessing what was going to come. I had a couple of guesses that were partially correct but overall I STILL didn't see the full picture until the end. Sarah Morgan is still just as sneaky as she was in the first book and I loved it! I loved getting more back story to what happened in the first book and tying things together. I hope from the ending of this that means we will be getting more from this series!

Another great page turner from Jeneva Rose that had me guessing until the last sentence! With characters you are constantly trying to figure out and plot lines that keep twisting, The Perfect Divorce will not disappoint.

Thank you NetGalley, Jeneva Rose, and Blackstone Publishing for allowing me to read this ARC.

Being excited for this book is an understatement.

And this was GOLD. I had so much fun reading this book and I had my suspicions, but I still was shocked.

This book was a fun ride.

If Jeneva writes it. I am going to read it.

This was so much better than the first one in the series, and that goes to show just how far Jeneva Rose has come as an author. The pacing is taut, there are clever surprises, and there is plenty of dark humor…with a TRULY entertaining acknowledgement section. All in all, a winner!

I was hooked from the beginning to the end. The characters were well developed. I wouldn’t change anything about this book. The author made me think so many scenarios to justify different situations or events in the book and she definitely reeled me in.

4.5⭐️
Release date: April 15

It’s very rare for a sequel to be better than the original but that’s exactly the case here! I thought that “The Perfect Marriage” was just an okay book, it was good but a little predictable & I gave it 3 stars. So I wasn’t sure how to feel about a sequel but let me tell you, this book exceeded my expectations! It’s everything you could want in a sequel.

“The Perfect Divorce” takes place over a decade after the first book, & Sarah Morgan is going through a divorce with Bob, her second husband, when some new information comes up in the case that got her first husband arrested all those years ago. As the case is reopened, someone connected to Bob goes missing, & of course Bob is the #1 suspect.

This was full of twists & turns that I love in a thriller & it definitely kept me guessing the whole time. This book was not so predictable like the first one & it will actually make you root for Sarah? Even if you’re like me & weren’t a huge fan of the first book, I would still recommend this one as it is so much better! And Jeneva hinted to a third book too which I’m excited for!

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Perfect Divorce is a gripping, suspense-filled novel that takes readers on a rollercoaster of emotions, packed with unexpected twists and turns. From the very first page, the book masterfully unravels the question: Do you really know who you married? Just when you think you have the story figured out, another shocking revelation flips everything upside down, making it impossible to put down.

What makes this book truly stand out is its ability to keep readers on edge while exploring the complexities of marriage, trust, and deception. The characters are layered and compelling, making every interaction feel tense and unpredictable. The pacing is perfect, balancing moments of emotional depth with heart-racing suspense, ensuring that each chapter leaves you eager for more.

And just when you think the surprises are over, the acknowledgments deliver one final, jaw-dropping secret, one well have to wait for. Without giving too much away, this added twist makes the book even more unforgettable and leaves readers with plenty to think about long after they turn the last page. The Perfect Divorce is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers, and I can't wait for others to experience its brilliance.

Jeneva has done it again! I was beyond thrilled when I won an ARC copy of her new novel and was not disappointed when I finished. She is the queen of the twists and I did not see the ending coming. She’s solidified herself as one of my favorite authors!!

Whoa! Jeneva Rose, you did it again! You kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t not want to set the book down. Work… Sleep… Eat… what are those things?! I was worried about “The Perfect Divorce” being book 2 in this series and if it can step up to the plate. Well it sure did with all the twist coming out of the left field.
I cannot wait for my hard copy book to arrive so I may enjoy reading a second time in my hands. :)

** Thank you NetGalley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for an eARC copy of “The Perfect Divorce”.

I think this was better than the first book! The story continues on in the life of Sarah Morgan to see what happens next. Excellent and twisty story that finishes off with a potential for the story to continue onto a third book! Thank you to the publisher, author and NetGalley for an advanced digital copy of The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose!

The Perfect Divorce is a psychological thriller that follows a seemingly amicable divorce between two exes—until things take a dark turn. What starts as a peaceful separation quickly unravels into a twisted game of manipulation, secrets, and mind games, leaving both characters—and the reader—questioning who is really in control.

This book was a wild ride. While some parts felt predictable, the journey there was anything but boring. The tension builds as the two main characters, both equally unhinged in their own ways, go head-to-head in a battle of deception. Just when I thought one was the craziest, the other would up the stakes. It kept me hooked, constantly wondering—who was actually the most unhinged? If you love messy thrillers with crazy characters, this one is worth the read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Sarah and Bob Miller's marriage is on the brink of collapse, and the fallout is bound to be disastrous. When Sarah finally asks for a divorce, it marks the beginning of a perilous journey for both of them. Bob knows the dark truths Sarah has kept hidden, and he's fully aware of her dangerous capabilities.

For those who haven’t yet read The Perfect Marriage, be warned: spoilers ahead. Sarah has already committed one unspeakable crime—she framed her first husband, Adam, for the murder of his mistress, only to later defend him in court. Bob, despite being asked to dispose of the incriminating evidence (the murder weapon), chose to keep it instead, knowing full well what Sarah was capable of.

As the tension between Sarah and Bob escalates, the question remains: can they both survive the devastating consequences of their past actions, or will they both become victims of their own ruthless decisions?

The Perfect Divorce takes everything readers loved about The Perfect Marriage and amplifies it, proving that sequels can sometimes outshine their predecessors. Jeneva Rose has crafted another unforgettable thriller, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store next.
