I received an electronic ARC from Random House Children's Publishing through NetGalley.
Murray and Bun are back and another adventure looms. This time a giant potato created by Fumblethumbs pushes them through the cat door and into medieval times. Murray is mistaken for a knight and challenged to a joust to win the hand of the kingdom's princess. He and Bun have no idea what a joust is though Bun thinks it involves trampolines and food. When the princess explains, Murray has no idea what to do. He manages to defeat his opponent with help from a variety of people and the princess gets to be who she wants to be.
Stower's brings his characters and scenes to life with humor and a sense of wonder.

I received and ARC of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Such a cute story, in the spirit of Gumluck the Wizard, but this one focuses on a different Wizard's cat. Kids are going to love these characters. I predict it will be a win with early readers across the board.

"Murray the Knight" is a middle grade graphic fiction novel in the Murray and Bun series by Adam Stower. Murray is a nervous cat who lives with a wizard. Bun is a sentient sweetbun that was brought to life and turned into a bunny (with a cherry tail) by the wizard. Due to living with a wizard, some strange things happen. Their cat door has been enchanted so that it sometimes takes them to weird places. This time it takes them to a medieval castle where the king is trying to marry his daughter, the princess, to a mean and nasty knight. Murray is challenged to a joust for the princess's hand in marriage, though he later finds out that the princess already is in love with a gardner. How can Murray help the princess, and what exactly is jousting anyway?!? A silly and simple storyline with funny artwork and cute characters. The author is British and the vocabulary used in the book might confuse young American readers at first, but the context makes the meaning fairly obvious. A suggested purchase for middle grade graphic novel collections.
