ChatGPT Secrets is a good introductory book about using AI in daily work. The author provides information about using AI to understand legal documents, manage business orders, create social media posts, and more. The book lacks information about whether we must pay any subscription fee to use these AI tools. It will be helpful to the reader to know which AI tools are open source and free and which have to be paid. Also, a better job can be done using flow charts when there are multiple steps in using AI and when it is interfacing with other tools. Also, it will be helpful to provide further learning materials or course details to guide the readers if they want to delve deeper into the world of AI.
ChatGPT Secrets is the third book in a trio of books about ChatGPT by the same author. It is a good overview for rank beginners who have barely heard of AI and never used it. For those more experienced AI users, there are a few unusual ideas for using it in common situations. However, I think the tagline, Make Money While You Sleep, is not very accurate. AI may make your life easier but you still have to set it up. Unfortunately, there are very few instructions within this book about how to do it.
I am disappointed by ChatGPT Secrets. There are few secrets within the book that cannot be found using a simple internet search. It provides only a short summary of what is already readily available online without even the details needed to implement it. In fact, I increasingly thought that the book might be written by ChatGPT itself. If so, I guess the author has provided one example of how to make money without really trying. 3 stars.
Thanks to NetGalley and Neil Dagger for providing me with a review copy.
As someone with virtually no prior knowledge about artificial intelligence, I decided to pick up ChatGPT Secrets by Neil Dagger to understand better how AI works. I'm glad I did—it turned out to be an eye-opening experience.
Despite only scratching the surface of the topic, the book presented the material in an approachable and unintimidating way. Dagger has a knack for breaking down complex concepts into digestible bits, making it easy for readers like me to grasp the basics of AI and its practical applications. I found the explanations clear and the tips and tricks actionable, allowing me to experiment and apply what I learned.
It's worth noting that this is not a comprehensive guide or a "get rich quick" manual. Instead, it is a helpful introduction to AI, providing a foundational understanding for those curious and just starting their journey. While it doesn't delve deeply into every aspect, it offers a great starting point for readers exploring AI and ChatGPT.
Thank you to NetGalley and Buzzbook.net for providing me with an e-book copy in exchange for my honest review. I look forward to exploring more of Neil Dagger's work on this fascinating subject in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This book is a quick summary of some practical uses for ChatGPT (and other LLMs) from both a business and personal perspective. I thought the author did a good job working through a variety of use cases, although I felt a bit more time could have been spent on practical examples.
I personally enjoyed the second half of the book better as it focused it on coding and data analysis. These aspects were well-covered and directly applicable to how I use LLMs.
I recommend this book to those that are new to LLMs and those looking for new applications that are relevant to them.
I have absolutely devoured this read and shared the recommendation with multiple friends. I even picked up one of his previously published guides. I think this is valuable information that everyone should be reading about.
I have enjoyed reading this ARC. The book provides a good overview of applying AI to different areas of professional life with some creative touch. There are some tools introductions, ideas how to apply them to different business areas. You can find some tool reviews, understand how to create visuals and videos, podcasts, social media, code etc. This book can be a good one if you just started using AI and looking for inspiration, ideas of application and some good recommendation.

While this book did spark a few ideas on how to tweak my prompts a little more, I was really hoping for more. It gave a lot of information about what ChatGPT can do but not a lot about how to do it or the example prompts. I feel ike it would be more helpful if it did.
