KC Mills has done it again, this book was so good I had to add it to my shelf. I love a good marriage of convenience and Kincaid and Nari's love story check all the boxes.

You Could Do Damage by K.C. Mills is a captivating and emotional read that kept me hooked from start to finish. The characters are complex, and their journeys are both gripping and heart-wrenching. Mills does a great job of balancing tension and vulnerability, making it easy to connect with the story. The pacing is just right, with twists that keep you on your toes. If you're a fan of emotionally charged dramas with strong character development, this one is definitely worth reading.

You Could Do Damage Is one of those books that I am on the fence about. While the premise checks all the boxes. We have an arranged marriage, OK I’m in. Mafia! OK, that's a favorite. A very strong alpha for the lead male character. I guess with an arranged marriage, we get a forced proximity there as well. I tend to love these kinds of stories a lot.

Nari and Kincaid were just kind of OK to me. I did not feel a lot of depth from either one of them. He made her an offer that she could not refuse and she accepted. However, I thought there would be just a little more to it. Which I find interesting because the spice was, let’s just say spicy. Physically together, Nori and Kincaid were truly off the charts. I think the pacing was a little wrong for the book. That it could have either done without some things or had them incorporated in a different way. Just my opinion. K.C. Mills picks it up really well at the end of the book and then leaves us with that horrible cliffhanger. We all know I’m not a fan of cliffhangers so that’s that. I can’t say that I truly overwhelmingly like the book, but I didn’t dislike it either. Although that cliffhanger had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the living room floor, I do plan on reading the second part of the story. If I made it all the way to the end, I’m invested, and I also have faith that with those last few chapters the next book will have something special going on.

Loved this so much the story was told in a way that kept you interested, entertained, and engaged throughout. Mills did not disappoint with this one!

This is about a woman named Nari, one night at work she catches the eye of the rich and powerful Kincaid. Kincaid is being taken down the path of arranged marriage by the powerful people above him and he's looking for a way out, as soon as he lays eyes on Nari sparks fly and he knows she's it for him. But he has to find a way out of his arranged marriage and get Nari's attention so he can see if the sparks he felt between them are real. This was dual point of view, which I always appreciate. This story was fun, entertaining, and a good read! But I was not expecting it to end on a cliffhanger like that! Book 2 better be coming soon! ❤️📚

With the recent release date, I thought it’d be perfect to read now! I loved this mafia/mob romance with a marriage of convenience that leads to real love and relationship building. He for sure falls first but is very mysterious about his ways that she doesn’t of course understand as an outsider to “The Families”, but makes a friend in the process as well. Everything was fantastic until a surprise about 80% of the way in, but was still very well written and didn’t become the main focus of the last part of the book.

Nari has no family. She has no support system at all and is struggling to keep a roof over her head. Kincaid has a prominent position in the Family. He’s expected to take a bride soon. However, the father of his fiance has nefarious motives. Although I wouldn’t classify this story as instalove, there is definitely a strong attraction between Nari and Kincaid from the very beginning. What begins as a business arrangement becomes much more. I love how Kincaid takes care of Nari and anticipates her needs. The story ends with an opening to a sequel (that I look forward to reading). Although I love an alpha male, Kincaid sometimes takes it too far.

I usually enjoy this author's work, but this book fell flat for me. I found it a little underwhelming, and there were quite a few errors that made it tough to get through at times. The main characters didn’t have much depth, so connecting with or remembering anything about them was hard.

You Could Do Damage is a story of passion, betrayal, survival, and loyalty that had me hooked from the start!

Nari and Kincaid’s arrangement was supposed to be simple, but their intense chemistry and the secrets surrounding them made it anything but. Just when one problem is solved, another comes knocking, keeping the tension high and the pages turning. I need book two ASAP—do I recommend? Absolutely! Am I buying the physical? YES

Opens with Nari or FMC, having the worst day ever. Goes to work and it gets worse but it’s where our MMC finally interacts with her.

Things escalated quickly and she is soon made an offer it is hard for her to refuse due to her life slowly going downhill. She is having to always try to figure out her new arrangement all while not falling for Kincaid.

So many revolutions happen for Nari throughout the book for better and for worse. This book had a lot of ups and downs and ends on a cliffhanger.

Truthfully, I fell in love with the cover and then the blurb, and knew I had to read this one. I immediately devoured it & enjoyed it immensely, for the most part. It was a bit more of a slow burn than I anticipated, but that’s fine. I loved how much chemistry the two had, the angst of a one sided enemies to lovers. I thought this story has a lot of potential and I can’t wait to read the sequel.

I love me some Nari and Kincaid. I loved the build up. I loved the arranged marriage which is one of my favorite tropes which made this book even more enjoyable. The cover is stunning!

I thoroughly enjoyed "You Could Do Damage" despite not typically reading mafia-type novels. K.C. Mills delivered a story that grabbed my attention from the first chapter and kept me turning pages until the very end.
The arranged marriage between Kincaid and Nari unfolds with tension and tenderness. What starts as a business arrangement evolves into something genuine, and I found myself rooting for them the unconventional set up. LET IT BE KNOWN- this is the only kind of fake marriage I want to be reading. MKAY?
Kincaid brings everything I love in a male lead :commanding presence, unquestioned power, only capable of genuine vulnerability with the woman he chooses. His transformation from cold businessman to protective partner works because Mills gives him authentic moments over than an unrealistic personality change.
Nari's character seems like a woman trying to find her footing in an unfamiliar world. Her struggles with trust and self-worth feel honest rather than manufactured for drama. The chemistry between her and Kincaid builds at a perfect pace, A little come here- go away, give and take making their connection feel earned rather than rushed.
The supporting cast adds depth to the story, particularly the family dynamics surrounding the organization.
The novel does end on a cliffhanger that left me desperate for the next installment, but quietly......i do not mind a cliffie. I will be waiting for the next chapter in this saga.
As someone who has followed K.C. Mills as an indie author, I'm thrilled to support her traditionally published journey. Her writing has a distinctive voice that shines through in this novel - raw, honest, and not afraid to explore the complicated nature of love when it collides with power, loyalty, and secrets. Also, she stresses me out and I kinda like that.
Mills excels at creating a hero with teeth, a man who commands power but is only soft for his woman. And a heroine that isn't a yes-woman and preserves her dignity.

If you enjoy romance with high stakes, complex characters, and a relationship that defies expectations, "You Could Do Damage" delivers on all fronts. I listened to the audiobook format of this novel and it was well-performed.

You Could Do Damage follows the budding romance of sweet Nari and no-nonsense Kincaid, which is enveloped by power and control. Nari seems a bit apprehensive about how their marriage and relationship started, but I also felt Kincaid did an amazing job of always being intentional with what he says and does, along with being reassuring, Kincaid is everything. He says what he means and means what he says, I love his honesty and his directness. He makes for a great book husband. I am looking forward to a part 2.

Kincaid and Nari were definitely one for the books. Nari comes from nothing and has no family or friends to speak of at all while Kincaid is the polar opposite. He has the wealth, family, & an entire empire to take over once he lands a wife. I really enjoyed this book because of the arranged marriage & these two deciding what would or would not work for them to make it successful. Nari definitely drove me crazy at times with her naivete’ & Kincaid was crazy controlling at times but these two definitely seemed like fate. Definitely looking forward to see what else happens with these two hopefully. Thankful for my complimentary copy for my honest review.

It was interesting.. I did liked the fact that had both perspectives that is indeed very important to me and.. Nari and Kincaid were a couple that found each other in the right time of their lives and that is very important... Also I did liked it that even with the "fake marriage" they were mature for each other

Kincaid didn't play about Nari at all from the very beginning, and Nari was strong-willed and trying to find her footing in this new world she's been thrust into, but they complemented each other rather well. I will say that the miscommunication is strong in this book, and what's crazy is that they make a pact to always be honest with each other and straight-up disregard it, which was frustrating as a reader, but I did enjoyed this book, though. K.C.'s writing definitely sucks you in.

What followed was a slow, but interesting buildup that intertwined their relationship and Kincaid's standing with "The Families." As I continued to read, jealousy, lack of communication and outside forces set the tone for what will mostly certainly be a compelling wrap-up in the next book, And I for one, am looking forward to it.
