Only Sara Raasch can give me butterflies over a hand holding scene. The magic, the romance, and the heat are all the perfect combo. Another incredible story

The younger brother of the new Santa Claus has to go to the St. Patrick's Day court on a diplomatic mission in this fun follow up to The Nightmare Before Kissmas. When Kris accidentally causes a bit of a inter-holiday scandal at school, he knows he'll have to do damage control--even if it means spending time with the obnoxious Crown Prince of St. Patrick’s Day. Because Lochlann is nothing if not obnoxious and seems to revel in tormenting Kris. The fact that he may also be stealing magic from Christmas should be more important, especially since Christmas is trying to fix its reputation after the disastrous reign of Kris and Coal's father. But Loch has a way of getting under Kris's skin. And it's normal to be obsessed with the guy you hate, right? Right?

I'm obsessed with this holiday royal rom-com series. I'm hoping for a hundred more books featuring every holiday match up imaginable. Even though Go Luck Yourself didn't steal my heart quite as much as The Nightmare Before Kissmas, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm always a little wary and hesitant to read a sequel when I loved the first book as much as I loved The Nightmare before Kissmas for fear of being disappointed, but Go Luck Yourself held strong! I was quickly drawn in and I loved this book even more the first. I absolutely adore the characters and found them so relatable. I loved the way Loch and Kris clicked. Even the side characters were incredible and I really hope to see more of them all in a future book. I definitely haven't had enough of this series and I need more!

This was a fun follow-up to book one and was a lot of fun to read. It was a solid 4.5 star book for me. I would've liked to get Loch's POV as well as Kris' and I thought the solution to Loch's issue was solved without much fanfare given how big of an issue it was and how much conflict was caused because of it. That being said, this was an enjoyable book and I look forward to getting Iris' book.

Go Luck Yourself continues our romance and royals story with Kris, the younger brother of Coal. Kris is a conflicted, young man, who is one who you’d call a people pleaser. When he uses a bit of Christmas magic to play a trick on the Prince of St. Patrick’s Day, he is thrust into a challenge to find out who has been stealing some of Christmas’ joy.

So, I want to start off with the fact that this was a very fast read for me. I was intrigued by the snippet at the end of The Nightmare Before Kissmas and the tropes of this story were much more compelling to me. I like how it started off, it was a small rivalry but progressed well into the plot.

I liked Kris as our lead a lot, I could empathize with him and his way of processing emotions. Him not being able to differentiate his feelings is very real! He's a very kind and sweet lead, handsome too! I like how he came to a point of intervention and realization at the end with his feelings. Someone get her into therapy.

Loch was a good love interest, I liked how there was still a bit of tension between them but this was quickly more of a very soft, barely there enemies to lovers. Underneath it all, he was a kind character.

I liked the plot, it was fast and picked up in many areas. I felt like it didn’t have any slow parts which I enjoyed. For romances such as these, I don’t think there is much of a plot going on outside of the romance, but there were equal parts of both. It was more of a back of the mind sort of thing, but enjoyable nonetheless. However, the small twist did make my jaw drop because I wasn’t expecting it. I felt for Kris and Loch both, mainly Kris. He was a very relatable lead.

The smut… that was very, very good. It was dirtier than the last book which I LOVED. The one scene… you know the one, also made my jaw drop… it was impeccable, I don’t think I’ve ever read something that was explicit like that in a book because some people are cowards. It was AMAZING, I sort of need a short little smut story with them!

Thank you to Sara Raasch, Bramble, and NetGalley for an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Go Luck Yourself, the follow up to The Nightmare Before Kissmas, is a continuation of the joy we got in the first book. If you liked Kissmas, you may find yourself liking this one even more as the Claus brothers are even more dramatic (I loved how Iris said she learned from their dramas for her own future romance), there’s more banter (snark as flirting), and more characters to love (a new trio of siblings in St. Patrick’s Day). The romance is between Coal’s brother Kris and the St. Patrick’s Day Prince Lochlann, who have an antagonistic introduction at college while fighting over a library study room. Their relationship progresses when Kris goes to St. Patrick’s Day for a week under the guise of apologizing to Loch, while also trying to solve the mystery of who is siphoning Christmas’ joy. I loved seeing the various events during the lead up to St. Patrick’s Day, and learning more about the holiday itself while watching Kris and Loch try desperately to not fall in love and completely fail.

The book isn’t all rainbows and pots of gold as Kris is going through a lot with his mental health, and I really appreciated that the relationship wasn’t used to try to “fix” his troubles, and instead Loch became such a support system for him. Loch has a number of things holding him back too, and he and Kris balance each other so well. Lastly, the politics in this world and within every holiday are so interesting, though as Kris notes it seems the children have to be the ones to fix the problems created by their parents (side note: the Claus parents are still awful in this one).

Overall, this book had me smiling and having the best time. There’s just something about Sara Raasch’s writing that I find so much fun to read and I am so hopeful for more in this Royals and Romance series (an Iris book, please!!).

It’s very easy to say that I adore this series. Book two was just as good as book one, and that’s coming from someone who very clearly would be a part of Halloween. What a delight Loch and Kris were. If Iris and Finn are not book three, there will be a riot. More please.

This book was like popcorn, and I ate up every second of it! Raasch’s follow-up holiday romcom will sweep you off your feet and all the way to Ireland where you’re sure to be in stitches one minute and swooning the next. Woven together with a tender encouragement to choose joy for yourself, this book had me feeling luckier- and merrier- than ever.

I loved this book! A good continuation in this series. the banter, the figuring out oneself, the entire story was perfection. I cannot wait to read this again when it is officially out. I am excited to see where this series goes next (if it does continue). Thank you for letting me read this.

If you want to read some books that are both silly and serious while being very gay and very fun, Sara Raasch’s Royals and Romance novels are the ones for you. I voraciously read the first and was fortunate to have the ARC of the second to immediately devour. The first book is about the Princes of Halloween (Hex) and Christmas (Coal) and, as someone who got married on Halloween after getting engaged the previous Christmas Eve, I loved everything about that premise and it exceeded my expectations. I was really hoping to find out more about Kris, Coal’s brother and the other Prince of Christmas, and was so glad that this sequel was his story. Now, I was not deeply connected to St. Patrick’s Day before reading this one but that might change thanks to Loch! The politics involved in this series feel very connected to the political sphere of reality, too. I look forward to getting my hands on a physical copy of this book with those gorgeous sprayed edges as soon as it is out to match my copy of the first book. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Charming, witty, and fun. A worthy sequel to The Nightmare Before Kissmas and I loved seeing Kris and Loch's relationship develop throughout the story.

In this follow-up to The Nightmare Before Kissmas we follow Coal’s brother Kris as he gets into a bit of a situation with St. Patrick’s Day’s Prince Lochlann. They have a bit of an enemies to lovers arc and lots of Irish hijinks happen along the way. This book is just as enjoyable as its predecessor and continues with the author’s impeccable knack for banter. Kris and Loch both discover a lot about themselves through each other and grow stronger because of it, which is a beautiful thing to read in a relationship.
Overall this book is full of heart and magic, and will appeal to most lovers of romance. The magic is so low-key that I think even non-fantasy lovers can enjoy this story.

I had such a fun time reading this book! I love Kris and Loch as a couple. They had a good mix of banter and romantic tension. I also really appreciate how slow burn this book was. It really made me root for them as a couple. There was no mention of a third book in this series at the end of this book, but I would definitely be interested in reading a third book in this series.

Go Luck Yourself is a fun followup to the Nightmare Before Kissmas, following the Prince of Christmas and St. Patrick's Day. Kris finds out someone from St. Patrick's Day is stealing Christmas' joy, the source of their magic. Kris goes to Ireland on a diplomatic mission to help Loch's public perception, while secretly investigating the theft. The two princes outwardly hate each other while hiding their true feelings.
This was an entertaining read that also touched on heavier themes of parental abandonment and healing, with some fun tidbits about the origin of St. Patrick's Day. I would have liked to see more time spent on the holiday itself, and I personally didn't like how Loch's accent was written phonetically. I look forward to reading what Raasch writes next. Thanks to Tor and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Twice this year I've been in a terrible reading slump and Sara Raasch and this series has fixed me. I stayed up until two am to finish this because I just couldn't stop. I had to see it through.

As much as I loved the first book, this one might be my favorite. There's just something about Kris and his quest to find somewhere he belongs and feel useful that REALLY hit home with me. Making sure everyone else in your life is taken care of and always putting yourself on the back burner is just. VERY relatable to me, so I was very excited to see him work things out.

ALSO. Can we talk about the burden of being the child that parents their parents? Because HOO BOY does Kris go through that, too. It made me tear up quite a few times, seeing him go through that guilt and learning to let his parents go and when to accept help and care from a sibling. Coal does such a great job of stepping up in so many ways in this book, but definitely when it comes to Kris.

I would be remiss, though, to not tell you how much I adore Loch. Like. SO much. He's a grumpy, secret softie, artist who just wants to do right by his holiday, and his sisters and I knew he would be a favorite as soon as he showed up on the page. He just effortlessly saw Kris and that just!! Gets me.

I hope this series never ends and Raasch just keeps inventing new holidays and their courts and keeps it going. They're just wonderful and charming and all the best things about the holidays wrapped up. and paperback bound.

Go Luck Yourself keeps the delightful vibes from The Nightmare Before Kissmas going- no sophomore slump in this series. I loved Kris is book 1 and having him anchor this book was a treat. His enemies to lovers relationship with Loch was so sweet to see develop. I loved seeing both of them grow and figure themselves out and make their relationship work. This book has a little magic and a lot of swoons and all the luck 🍀

Can’t wait to have this book on my bookshelf. Absolutely loved it. My first read from Sarah Raasch and won’t be my last. Thank you for the opportunity to review.

This book won me over to this series. It's an absolutely silly premise, but if you can get past that, the romance is great and I loved all of the characters.

Eventually had to DNF, I was very excited about this series but found this book to be too cliche in writing style for me but I can very much see a lot of readers who are fans of "Red, White, and Royal Blue" or YA readers would enjoy this book. I did like the fun element of royalty for each holiday.

I absolutely adored The Nightmare Before Kissmass and was ecstatic to receive an advanced copy of Go Luck Yourself. Go Luck Yourself follows Coal's younger brother, Kris. Kris is struggling to find his place as part of Christmas' royal family. Since Coal has begun taking on more responsibility he has subsequently been needing Kris' support less and less. And Kris is not sure how to cope with the loss. Enter Loch. Total jerk and study room stealer, but also the crown prince for the holiday of St. Patrick's Day. The two start off butting heads at every turn, they cannot stand one another, but slowly Kris begins to see that he and Loch may have more in common then they both originally realized.

I loved this story and it was the perfect addition into this world of holiday royalty. I loved getting to see Hex and Coal again and enjoyed getting to know Kris better and watch as he fumbles his way through his new reality. Go Luck Yourself is an enemies-to-lovers romance with lots of paint, some practical jokes, a greedy uncle, and a well-earned happily ever after. I cannot wait to read what Raasch releases next!
