I didn’t think it could get better after ‘The Nightmare Before Kissmas’, but this book took all the joy and banter of the first and affectionately had you ‘Go Luck Yourself’. The enemies-to-lovers had such a grating spark from the first scene and never lost that friction heat that caught flame. Kris’ character arc was so heart wrenching and relatable, really laid open a well of vulnerability that had me aching. And Loch? Yes. Just, yes. This had all the lighthearted rom-com moments you are here for, the churning darkness and triumphant return, and the depth of character for you to fall just as hard as these boys. Encore!

The next installment in the Royals and Romance series is an ol'Irish blessing. Go Luck Yourself brings back our favorite characters from book one, The Nightmare Before Kissmas, and introduces us to some new "Cairdeas."
Awe Kris and his belief he's the spare. To witness the things dragging him down his luck and coming into "who" he wants to be was pure JOY.
Just like the first book, Go Luck Yourself is absolutely adorable. This love story is grá.
Thank you, Tor Publishing Group | Bramble

I love seeing people set up boundaries and stand up for themselves.
I had a really fun time in the beginning with their rivalry and trying to one up one another.
But then I don't know....the energy didn't stay and I was struggling to get through it.

thank you to netgalley and tor publishing group for this eARC!
this book was so so stinking cute. i had high hopes for this book because i loved, the nightmare before kissmas, and it did not disappoint. kris and loch are adorable and i did absolutely have a blast doing a terrible irish accent in my head while reading.
the plot was solid and i felt like hex’s role in the end made a lot of sense. i’m glad that loch ended up being the thief, it would’ve felt too convenient if it was malachy, and kris’s reaction made sense to me in connection with the trauma he has. i feel like his relationship with iris was a little weird in this novel. partly i don’t understand how he was never actually in love with her? how do you believe you’re in love with someone, and act that way, and the person who knows you best (coal) believes you’re in love with them, and in minutes you realize you weren’t? i could understand him falling out of love with her but this didn’t quite add up to me. i also feel like he just got over his hesitation about talking to her again without the two of them really having a conversation about it.
i enjoyed how raasch conveyed the contrast between christmas and st. patrick’s day. it helped develop what malachy was doing from the get go and made that reveal that much more gratifying.
the romance was perfect; it had me giggling and kicking my feet. the emotional parts had me tearing up. raasch knows how to write a love story.
i loved this book and i’m SO excited to read finn and iris and get to be in iris’s head a little more.

*Thank you Netgalley for the advanced e-book of one of my most anticipated releases of the year*
This book was delightful! I knew going in exactly what to expect based on the first book - The Nightmare Before Kissmass - : cozy light fantasy, great inner thought dialogue that will make you laugh out loud, a grumpy broody man, and a fantastically swoon worthy romance. And that is exactly what I got.
One thing that I really appreciated about this book was the mental health representation - specifically in our main character Kris. Kris suffers from anxiety/panic attacks and depression throughout the book, and I could tell that Sara put a lot of thought into these moments while writing. As somebody who has suffered with these same problems for most of her life, I related deeply to Kris' experiences, and they felt very real to me. Obviously everybody has different experiences with their mental illnesses, but I personally related deeply to Kris.
I also loved getting to see Coal and Hex again, and see how their relationship has progressed since the end of their story.
As for the romance- it was amazing of course. I didn't love Loch quite as much as Hex, but I still had a lot of fun reading about him and his romance with Kris. I think the audio book for this would be amazing, hearing his accent and dialect spoken - as I never love reading the dialect, its hard for me to understand completely

Go Luck Yourself is Sara Raasch’s delightful follow up to my favorite holiday read of 2024, The Nightmare Before Kissmas.
It publishes in March, which is perfect because it’s actually a St. Patrick’s Day holiday rom com. Surprising, but it totally works!
Just like in the first book in this series, the characters shine in their messy awkwardness and you can’t help but fall in love with them. I loved the journey of healing that Kris goes on as he steps into his own, identifies what he truly wants and oh yes, falls in love. The romance is very enemies-to-lovers, so much tension and banter!
Overall, this was a fun, quick read that made me laugh and also tear up. It’s a beautiful story of connection and growth. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a springtime rom com!

This holiday romance is a delightful mix of mystery, humor, and heart. The setup is clever, with Kris, the spare prince of Christmas, going undercover to investigate the theft of his holiday's joy, only to find himself at odds with the infuriating but handsome Prince Lochlann Patrick of St. Patrick's Day. The tension between them is palpable, and the slow-burning romance is expertly woven into the mystery of the stolen joy. With its unique take on holiday magic and its witty, engaging characters, Go Luck Yourself was a charming and fun read. The perfect sequel to The Nightmare Before Kissmas!

A wonderful follow-up to The Nightmare Before Kissmas!
Thank you to the Netgalley and Eidelweiss teams for giving me access to an ARC of this new book! I fell in love with the first book and the second one captivated me just as much!
The story of Kris and Loch was full of twists and turns as this time around we spend our time in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day where Kris has to figure out who is stealing Christmas's Joy.
At the heart of it is the bad boy St. Patrick's Day Prince, Lochlan Patrick who just happens to have caught Kris's attention in all the worst (best) ways. As Kris investigates the magic theft he learns more and more about Loch and his family which resonates with his own experiences. Learning more and more about the truth starts proving to be tricky for Kris's heart. He wants so much for Loch not to be guilty, but not everything is as it seems. And in the end, just maybe they'll achieve their happily ever after.
I had so much fun reading this book! It made me laugh and cry while exploring some of my favorite tropes like enemies to lovers, miscommunication and found family. Overall, it stayed true to the themes and the plot was easy to follow, which made it the perfect short read after a heavy book I read.
If you get the chance please go pick this up when it comes out on March 11th! You Won't be disappointed!

Throughly enjoyed the second book in this series, it was a thoughtful and romantic read. I am definitely hoping there will be more to this story, maybe a story for Iris even!!!

Christmas meets St. Patrick's Day? I loved the amount of history and culture that this book included, and the focus on a holiday surrounded by drinking culture, but really is so much more. This author did an incredible job with handling some delicate backstories with appropriate care so that more people could feel seen and identify with these characters.

Exactly. EXACTLY! The Royals and Romance series is just so fun. I knew I was going to have a good time reading Go Luck Yourself and I absolutely did. It is absolutely ridiculous in the best ways. I have never associated St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas and now they are linked in my head. 10/10 I LOVE FUN ROMANCE!

Goodness I love these books. A solid followup. Kris and Loch had me giggling and teary eyed.
My only gripe was Raasch trying so hard to convince us Kris wasn't actually in love with Iris. I'll die on the hill that he was. I would have liked this book more if Raasch allowed him to have been in love with her, Iris kindly letting him down, and him realizing through his feelings for Loch that what he had for Iris was a crush based on being comfortable. But trying to convince me that Kris wasn't actually into her and was just trying to convince himself he was because he thought he should be? No. I just don't buy it. I'm sorry.
Otherwise, LOVED this. Couldn't be put it down. GIVE ME IRIS AND FINN YESTERDAY. Pleaseandthankyou.
Thank you to Bramble and Netgalley for access to the Digital Review Copy. All opinions are my own.

this was such a fun enemies to lovers! i loved watching them grow into themselves. loch was grumpy and broody and kris was emotional and just trying to figure out his place. this was a cute read!

Go Luck Yourself was one of my most anticipated new romantasy books of 2025 ever since I finished The Nightmare Before Kissmas and all I can say is that Sara Raasch better continue this series because it is so fresh and so wonderful – everything I never knew I needed in my romance book reading life!
Her words, her characters and the joy that just jumps off the pages are what made this book and the entire series a pure delight to read. I’ll happily supply a list of all holidays, including the most obscure, so she never runs out of inspiration for Royals and Romance! 😊
I loved the meet cute between the Prince of Christmas and the Prince of St. Patrick’s Day that sparked the beginnings of this fantastic enemies to lovers romance. It was hilarious how Kris just wanted to defend how he went through the appropriate channels to reserve his beloved study room and would not be kept from it.
From there I got total Red, White and Royal Blue vibes since Kris had to apologize and make nice with Lochlann in front of the press in the spirit of repairing “international” relations when behind the scenes they masked their attraction with incessant teasing and pestering one another. I loved it!
In this romance, Raasch once again created the best characters with really interesting internal struggles. Kris was “the spare” who fell into a people-pleasing role and still struggled with the repercussions of his mother’s leaving him as a young kid. I liked how he slowly found his way back to his passions and allowed himself to put his own joy first.
Loch was everything I hoped for in the Irishman. How Raasch wrote his brogue so that it just jumped off the page as if I was hearing him in my ear was incredible. He was totally the grump to Kris’ sunshine that was dealing with his own inadequacies.
I’m really hoping we get Iris’ story next with a certain someone. My fingers are crossed until we get that announcement.
If you’re looking for a queer romance that is the perfect enemies to lovers story that weaves in magic, creative arts, family struggles and amazing sibling relationships then you’ll enjoy this book!

I didn’t think I could like this more than The Nightmare Before Kissmas, but I was wrong! These books are such a fun premise with the rival holidays and what not and I throughly enjoy them so much. The banter in this book was just as top notch as the first one. Kris and Loch had so much chemistry and tension and I was rooting for them throughout. Idk if the change in Kris and Coal’s dad was totally believable considering how much of a butt he’s always been, but who am I to question it lol. I definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for fun, banter, M/M romance and a little bit of family drama/emotions. The mental health rep was done really well also!

Will be posting to my Instagram before release day, and on Amazon and other retailers on release!

Sara Raasch is a master of taking a ridiculous premise and making it something absolutely amazing. This book is humorous, romantic, and deeply emotional all at once and it has no right to be as wonderful as it is with a plot revolving around magical people secretly in control of holidays.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the idea for this series shouldn't work--- AND YET, it does. I fell in love with Sara Raasch's world and characters with The Nightmare Before Kissmas, and was thrilled to read more about the Holiday Royals in Go Luck Yourself. The sexual tension, humour, and charm are exquisite! I devoured this book in 24 hours and have zero regrets.

I thought maybe I didn't like the first one because of the characters but trying to read this solidified that this author's writing is not good. It's a mix of trying to a serious fantasy novel and a silly tee hee fan fiction-style story. Half of the lore in the story doesn't even make sense!

Rating: 3.75/5 (Rounding up to 4)
Thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry and witty banter between Kris and Loch were delightful, and Sara Raasch’s humor added to the charm. The story was lighthearted, with no high stakes, making it a fun and easy read. I also appreciated the introspective character development Kris underwent—it felt well thought out and meaningful.
The only aspect that didn’t quite work for me was the sudden 180-degree shift in Kris and Coal’s dad’s character. It felt a bit far-fetched and lacked sufficient explanation. That said, since Kris and Coal themselves seemed just as confused, it almost felt like the reader was meant to experience that uncertainty alongside them.
I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted rom-com with humor and heart.

I’m a sucker for cheesy holiday romances - and this one, set in the worlds of Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day, with an Irish-accented artist and a moody writer with a topknot - absolutely kicked ass in that regard. The sequel to the delightful Nightmare before Kissmass (which featured a man wearing a corset vest, that’s all you need to get me to read something), this follows Kris, the ‘spare’, brother to Santa Claus, and Loch, the shamed Prince of St. Patrick’s Day with a bad reputation. When Christmas discovers that St. Patrick’s Day has been stealing joy from them (the science of this is a little iffy, but eh, whatever), Kris volunteers himself to go visit the holiday and investigate. When he gets there, he discovers (to his horror) that the Prince is none other than the gorgeous, asshole student that he took his anger out on regarding a stolen study room. Did I mention that this Prince is hot? Because he is. What has Kris gotten himself into?
Drama abounds. Art, sex, running, food, whiskey, feelings, poetry, notebooks, familial issues, driving, kissing, did I mention drama and ridiculously hot sex scenes? Yeah, this book was even better than the first, and I couldn’t help falling in love with these two damaged, messed up, beautiful Princes, who just want to make a different and support their family. Ugh! Sara Raasch does it again and I will read anything she ever writes for the rest of time.
I received an advanced copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
