Hunter is a bit of a train wreck and meets boyfriend #3 at a club in London while running away from boyfriends 1 & 2. I enjoyed getting the multiple points of view and the dual timeline in this story as it gives a better understanding of the why's behind the character's actions. Hunter's mother is a hot mess and we see why Hunter is...well...Hunter. Ending on another cliffhanger we're left waiting to see what happens in book three. I listened to the audiobook and again found the narrator using a Southern accent to be distracting, but still a great way to enjoy this wild ride.

I listened to So Real on audio and it was an even better reading experience with the cast of narrators. The way this series has me hooked and I don’t even know what to do about it. I loved listening to the escapades of Hunter and her boys. The banter, the moments between them all, and the realness of her illness and how it is explained are all just done so well.
And that ending! These cliffhangers really get me on the edge of my seat and panting for more of the series.
Thank you to Valentine PR and Abby Millsaps for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion

Im going to start this off by saying how rudddee to leave us on that cliffhanger ma'am. Yet I also love it so much. It has so much anticipation boiling up for the next book. I didn't think I would love Spence like I do. I was so stuck on team Greedy, but Spence definitely owns a piece of my heart now. I love that this book picked up exactly where the last book ended. I couldn't even sleep because I wanted to stay up and read. There are emotions, laughter, cuteness and a whooolle lot of spice. Im just in love with all 4 characters.

“You’ll never escape me, love. I know you feel like you need to keep running, but we are inevitable. I’ll follow you and I’ll find you, through every trial. Through every lifetime. Tell me you understand what you mean to me.”

I read this book previously.. but you know I'm obsessed with it so I HAD to listen to the audio.

The performance was absolutely incredible. The narrators are doing such a fantastic job bringing this series to life. I literally cannnnnotttt get over it. I can't wait to hear the rest of the series in my ears 😭🤍

I didn’t like this as much as the first book. I got a little confused with the audio and everyone. It was a quick listen/read, but not as steamy as I was hoping for.

A round of applause for Abby Millsaps! I love how Abby can create stories that leave me gasping for air and screaming NOOOOO at the end. Although I should expect cliffhangers in Abby's books, she really got me with the to-be-continued. I can't wait for the next book. I NEED ANSWERS! So Real picks up right where So Wrong left off, so reading these books in order is imperative.

I am thoroughly enjoying our girl Hunter's story. Her life has not been easy, and some heavy topics are discussed, so please check the trigger and content warnings. So Real gives us more information about what happened when Hunter was in London. The puzzle pieces are starting to come together, and we are better understanding what she was going through. Her story continues to break my heart, but she is strong, and I believe she will come out on top.

I love the dynamics of the group. I want them all because I can't choose. Greedy has BIG feelings, and I felt all of them with him. The poor thing was so hurt by the secret that it seemed everyone knew about it but him. He really loves Hunter, and I'm glad he could deal with the hurt and move forward. Does his love for Hunter justify some of his decisions regarding his involvement with the group? I don't know. We definitely see a different side to him, but I'm not convinced he is doing things because he really wants to. Levi is so sweet, loving, and needy. I stan a man that knows what he wants and goes for it. I love that he is starting to be more confident in his skin. Kabir. Kabir. Kabir. He brings a strong, dominant, possessive presence to the group. It took me a minute to warm up to him, but I love how he loves and cares for Hunter. I also loved his openness to making things work with everyone involved.

This book is so good! I sacrificed sleep to read it and seriously could not put it down. I love how Abby delicately approaches tough subjects. I also appreciate the representation of mental health and PMDD. This story is an emotional roller coaster. Things escalate quickly, and it gets SPICY. I loved how Levi aimed to please. The hot tub scene was 🔥 I am in love with this group! The cliffy...whew. I almost threw my Kindle. What am I supposed to do now? I'll stare at the shattered pieces of my heart on the floor while I wait for So Rare.

Narration:
June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce, Liam Dicosimo, and Keval Shah did well with this audio. The characters in this story are dynamic and very different. I loved how well the narrators fully embodied each character and brought out each of their personalities. So Real is packed with real emotions, and the narrators allowed me to feel them all.

This audiobook was delicious, all the narrators. It was soo addictive. Abby always slays with her books but this audio was too fun.

This was a solid entry for the second book in the series. The author is keeping the storyline moving along by introducing a new character and giving us additional history. It all helps to better understand Hunter and her motivations a bit better.

I received an early copy of the audiobook. The narration was well done and lent itself to the enjoyability of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for this early audio copy.

I just could not make this work for me. I generally thought the FMC was insufferable and I couldn't get past that.

I really found myself trying to catch up with this one, probably because I didn't read the first one and kept asking myself who and what throughout a good portion. Also, I didn't particularly like the characters and felt they needed to grow up and all needed help. I usually like this type of book but didn't think this was the particularly well done.

3 Greedy Stars ⭐️
Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5

So this is basically like book 1 but throwing another dick into the story who likes to be called sir…

𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
This starts directly after the epic cliffhanger of book 1 and, as I eluded to, we meet another one of Hunter's loverboys, Kabir Spencer, who is just as hypnotised by her as Greedy and Levi. We also meet Hunter's infamous mother, who gives us a magnificent view of why Hunter is as messed up as she is. This, like book 1, is told in MultiPOV and Dual Timeline, but this timeline has moved to post-Hunter leaving the US and dealing with the miscarriage in London, and how that trauma brings her closer to Spence. Now in the present, the three need to navigate their interesting sexual dynamic and relationship, and how they all fit together (literally and figuratively) with Hunter.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
Abby Millsaps has this amazing ability that has made me love and hate Hunter AT THE SAME TIME. Past Hunter is infuriating, annoying, and stupid. She makes the worst decisions and is impulsive, and basically, all I wanted was for her old self to grow up and for the new her to just open up and talk. She keeps going on about how she got so much better and learnt how to communicate with the therapist she went to, but I SAW NONE OF THIS PUT INTO PRACTICE.

Kabir was something else; I did not expect the PERFECTION of this man. He was sex on two legs, and the dominant personality he added to the Harem had me kicking my feet, and squealing. He also has a deliciously dirty mouth and a sexual appetite that is just as perfect! At one point, while listening to this, my husband walked in and heard a “scene,” and the blush HE FORMED!!!!

Greedy is still my favourite of the boys, but I still think it’s because he is such a broken sweetheart who just wants Hunter to love him, and I think it’s because at times he is too good for Hunter. I still don’t know why he is such a love-sick fool for the girl that keeps breaking his heart... BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS...

Levi was fantastic as we got to see more of him embracing who he is and his sexuality. While it was alluded to previously, it was all “past” mentions, whereas in this, we see Levi on-page being open to exploring his feelings and what that means for his relationship with Greedy (and Kabir)... (and Hunter).

The plot is generally up and down and highly emotional, so prepare for a rollercoaster where you just hold on tight and try not to yell GREEDY!

From an Audio perspective, this was both spectacular and annoying (BUT NOT FROM THE NARRATION POV), more from the production POV. The narrators did an epic job at their characters, and I know my panties melted every time one of the boys spoke because their voices, accents, and portrayal were AMAZING. June Deborahae also did a really great job of portraying Hunter and her emotional journey. She goes through some rough times in this, and it’s heartbreaking, and even harder listening to that struggle in voice, and quite frankly, it was nailed in this!

Now, why the production annoyed me is because normally, when you have dual narration, you have four voices to get used to. There’s the FMC narrator and the voice she uses when speaking for the MMC, and then the male narrator who has his voice and his interpretation of the FMC’s voice. Essentially, two distinct voices for each character.

I believe this book would have benefited more from a duet narration (or the equivalent of a duet involving four narrators) rather than the standard dual type. Keeping each narrator confined to their own chapter meant that not only did Hunter’s character have to voice Levi, Kabir, and Greedy, but the other boys had to do the same. So, each character ended up having four different voices, leading to 16 voices in total. The only reason I could tell them apart was that the boys had different accents, so when characters switched accents, I could pick it up.

Without the various accents corresponding to different locations, it probably would have been harder to figure out who was speaking when. I feel like I wouldn’t have been taken out of the story so often if the production had gone in the direction of letting each person voice their own lines, and having the character whose chapter it is narrate the rest. That way, if Hunter was speaking in one of the boys’ chapters, the narrator who voiced Hunter would deliver her lines. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t needed to keep up with 16 different voices in my mind, especially since four was already enough to handle in terms of the plot. There are just so many people.

I absolutely loved this. I had to go back and read book one before picking this up and I’m so happy I did. I loved all the characters and while I’m alway nervous about reading book 2 in a series this book did not disappoint. If I could change something I would probably take out pieces of dialog so there was more of a sense of what is happening. More showing less telling. But overall I’m very happy with this book.

I continue to feel Hunter to my bones.

We pick right back up where we ended in So Wrong with that brutal cliffhanger. And let me tell you- It doesn’t drag, it doesn’t have filler info, it doesn’t go back over happened in book 1, it goes RIGHT into it. And it’s SO FREAKING GOOD. ITS SO REAL. And emotional and heart wrenching and healing and again so real. I know that to say that feels like a play in the title of the book but this book was real, it was the most relatable, emotional, and powerful book I’ve read in a long time. Oh. And the cherry on top of this story it’s got spice! And it’s phenomenal 🔥

Thank you Abby for sharing this story with the world. I cannot wait to come back for book 3 to read and feel more of Hunter’s journey.

Review: So Real was great reading but the full cast narration truly brought this book to excellent. Abby brought on board a group of phenomenal narrators to bring Hunter and her men to life. This whole crew of narrators encompassed every feeling and every UP and DOWN inside this book and made me fall in love with HUnter’s journey all over again. So Real was the book that kept me up with a gambit of emotional angst and it is safe to say that the audio version kept me up that much more.

The way June was able to embody Hunter thought was that captivated me in this audiobook. She was truly able to bring Hunter to life in my ears and I felt like I was there witnessing the action throughout the audiobook - especially in some of the more intense and emotional scenes. While all the narrators was fantastic June was the one that sold me in this story and Abby truly did wonders with the production of So Real in audio form!

Rating: 5/5, So Real was brought to life and this book becomes so much more REAL!

Review: Let’s talk about So Real..this book man. Abby did it this time with the second book in HUnter’s romance. So Real has been my favorite book in Abby’s South Chapel universe by FAR! Hunter is an FMC who I connected to in Joey’s trilogy and have continued to within her series. Abby has done a great job with all the ups and downs in her story so far and I am excited to see where it goes next!

So Real introduces the third love interest to Hunter’s harem and can I say. WOW. Kabir was THE MAN. I loved the back and forth between him and Hunter and the others but it was the utter devotion he had for her that did it for me. The dynamic him and Hunter had set the stage for all the heat in this book and wowza was it HAWT! I adored the trust she had with Kabir and really loved how he put everything aside for her. His arrival also provided just enough oomf in this book to upset the rocky balance she had with Levi and Greedy which I found entertaining.

So Real is another emotional rollercoaster of a book and Hunter’s story is heartbreaking. The way we flip between past and present was a fine line that Abby did wonderful with but also left me reeling as we learn things from the past and how it is still affecting her. Add in the selfish mother Hunter has and the lovesick stepfather and her struggles become next level. I found the mother to be the most conniving in this book so far and am anxious to see how Hunter handles the dilemma she is put in, in the next book. One thing I was there for was the way Greedy and Levi stood up for her in front of Greedy’s father and Hunter’s mother.

This book ends on a nicer cliffhanger than we are used to from Abby but still leaves us curious about this fourth mystery man who may join the group. I also loved how Abby gave us a tiny cameo of Joey and her men in this one and hope we get more in the next book!

Rating: 4.5/5, hands up for Hunter and her men so far!

Thank you to Abby for sending me this ARC!

I really should learn my lesson, I keep getting sucked into these ARCs but this writing style just is not my fav. I end up complaining through most of it. It just... it doesn't feel at all believable, and I am a big why choose lover, but something just doesn't really work for me in these ones. Thank you again for the opportunity to listen to this ALC, I keep coming back to them.

I don't know why I love this series so much.

This was definitely the more serious book of the two released so far.

Spence, Levi and Hunter have a lot of chemistry together. Levi and Grady have chemistry and I'm waiting to see what happens between them. I am hoping they have a moment together just the two of them.

I am curious where the series will go in book three. I don't necessarily like Hunter's character and while she does have chemistry with the guys, I find the guys have more chemistry between them.

This is not normally the type of book I would like but I was just so captivated by it.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review

Definitely missing the first book made it more complicated to understand but my main issue was it just made me feel uncomfortable. The dynamic in the relationships probably just wasn’t for me. I didn’t care for the characters and it wasn’t improved by the basic writing style.

I'll be publishing my review on Goodreads and StoryGraph 24th December and on Tik tok most likely will add to a monthly wrap up post with review the beginning of January

This was an amazing second book in the series and I fell for yet another of Hunter’s guys! Spence came in hot at the end of book 1 and shook things up big time, but getting to know his personality and her time with him in England, I can understand his actions. I love her and Spence’s relationship and the blooming relationship between Levi and Spence! Even Greedy is opening his eyes to what can be. This book had so much growth for all of our beloved characters! There’s only one more piece to the puzzle… but of course Abby had to leave us on another major cliffy, but at least she gave us the hottest spice!!
Once again the narration was fantastic in this one! June leading the group as Hunter did a phenomenal job! The guys are all well cast and had amazing performances.

This wasn't enegaging at all and frankly a little confusing. I probably should have read the first book of course.

Unfortunately this was a soft dnf for me. I enjoyed the first one a lot but I wasn’t a big fan of the new character that came in and I just couldn’t push through. Setting down for now and will maybe circle back.

Thank you NG for the arc.
