Weaver has published some excellent work before, but I loved this one! It had darkness and grit with a tinge of hope. I couldn’t put it down! This novel was a compelling and deeply emotional look into marriage , motherhood, secrets, and the cost of keeping up appearances. The story follows Anna, Rhea and Maggie who make an unlikely friendship through circumstance. The three different POV weave together to come to a life changing moment where each have to confront their own truths… also learning nothing is what it appears to be. I thought the writing was excellent, and the story well paced. I highly recommend this novel!
Thank you Net Galley

Things We Never Say by Caitlin Weaver is a compelling and emotional exploration of secrets, motherhood, and the heavy price of keeping up appearances. The story follows three very different women—Anna, Maggie, and Rhea—who are thrown together through a PTA project and begin to form a friendship that unravels the hidden truths of their seemingly perfect lives.
Anna, the quiet one, harbors the darkest secret, as she works hard to protect her family’s reputation. Maggie, a relationship therapist, struggles with her own failing marriage, while Rhea’s perfect life is threatened by a past she’s tried to bury. When the women uncover a scandal involving the school’s headmaster—Anna’s husband—they are forced to confront the lies they’ve been living.
Weaver’s writing skillfully weaves the personal dilemmas of these women with the mounting tension surrounding the scandal, creating a thrilling and emotional narrative. As the women grapple with their own secrets, the stakes get higher, and the choices they face are life-altering. The audiobook’s narration enhances the intensity of the story, giving voice to each character’s turmoil and conflict.
Things We Never Say is a gripping tale about the weight of hidden truths and the sometimes unbearable consequences of exposing them. It’s a must-read (or listen) for fans of suspenseful, character-driven dramas that delve into the complexities of relationships and the impact of long-held secrets.

This work is told from the POV of three women who all have children that go to the same prestigious private school in Atlanta, GA. The women were strongly characterized, and even from the beginning of the book it was easy to remember who was who and keep their families and lives separate. I loved how different the women were, but how they still had quite a bit in common. The author also did an excellent job incorporating how our impressions of people are often proven wrong the more you get to know them.
While the plot/subplots weren't all that innovative and even lagged a bit in the second half, the strong characters carried the plots and kept me interested. I don't recommend reading this looking for a thriller. But if you're interested in domestic drama with strong characters and themes of friendship and privilege, then you'll likely enjoy this one. My thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to read this work. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This one was a quick read and I enjoyed most of it. I wish there was a bit more mystery that want predictable though

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC
I loved this. It took a few chapter before I was invested in the story, but then I really enjoyed it. Three strong women who forms a friendship and help each other when they need it the most. especially the story with partner abuse was heartaching. A wonderful novel I highly, highly recommend!

Three mothers with three secrets. Things are not always what they seem. Throw a few PTA moms together with a bottle of wine, and they’ll slowly share the truth of their not so perfect lives.
This was an entertaining listen. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advance audio. The narrator, Jesse Vilinsky, did an excellent job.
3.5 stars

I received this as an audible Arc so first I would like to say thank you to the author and publisher. Next, this book was very good. I enjoyed every part of it, the build up between the 3 women and the aspects of life and what they are dealing with. The surprises and the situations going on were very well written. This felt like an easily real story as you can picture this without a problem. Very good book and I recommend readinf this.

Three moms on the parents' association of a prestigious private school are assigned to a fundraising committee, ahead of the school's upcoming centennial gala. But in the process, they uncover a scandal that could destroy the school and its families, as well as secrets of their own. One of them, who is the headmaster's wife, could literally lose everything.
It's been a while since I've read/listened to a domestic thriller that was this good. The story and characters were so engaging, and the way everything tied together at the end was really satisfying. Anna, Maggie, and Rhea make a great team and I found each of their story lines to be compelling and relatable. Their kids and spouses were interesting to follow as well. I definitely recommend Things We Never Say if you are a Lucinda Berry fan; there's a similar vibe here.
The audiobook narrator had many different accents and pitches to keep up with and she did a good job of voicing the many characters and keeping the tone on point.
Big content warning for domestic violence. There is a lot of it sprinkled throughout this book.

This is the kind of thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
Gripping, intense and emotional, a story about friendship, motherhood and secrets with strong female characters and fast-paced.
This is my second book from this author and I love the writing style.

I didn’t think I was going to like this book. Turns out I absolutely loved it. Turned out the characters were very real in my mind. I found myself thinking about them after I finished the book. It demonstrated how important it is to have women friends in your life. They helped one another discover what is real in life. I especially like the story about the one friend finding her son and doing what’s right by him after all these years. I highly recommend this book. I am going to be looking for other books by the author. Thank you, NetGalley and publisher for providing this audiobook to me.

I enjoyed the story. I was happy that I listened to the audio book vs reading. It was interesting but boring. Not a big twist or anything impactful happened. I enjoyed the friendship that was created between the main characters.

Things We Never Say tells the story of three very different women who come together to help plan the annual fundraising gala for the prestigious private school their children attend. Rhea is president of the PTA, lives in a wealthy neighborhood with her CEO husband and their two sons, and has a past she's done her best to try to cover up. Anna is the unassuming wife of the headmaster of the school with a very dangerous secret. Maggie is a relationship therapist who is privately struggling with her own marriage. The three women slowly come to trust each other and end up discovering a scandal that is being covered up by the school.
I listened to the audiobook version and I really enjoyed the narrator. She did a great job of making each character sound distinct, as the story is told from each of their perspectives. This was an enjoyable thriller that focused on issues of power and privilege. I liked all three women in this book and found all of the characters to be generally well developed. The plot and the secrets revealed were a bit predictable, but it was a fun story nonetheless. This will be a good one for people who enjoy fast-paced thrillers in an upper class setting.

Three women become friends as what begins as a school fundraising committee but ends up with the women trying to take down corruption in their kids’ exclusive private school in this dramatic and suspenseful book. You learn that each of the women have their own family secrets which makes for an extremely page turner. I enjoyed this book and will be looking for more by Caitlin Weaver

I loved this book! An emotional story of three mothers, all with their own battles and secrets they're dealing with. All appear to have the "perfect" life. As these PTA moms spend time together planning an event they get to know each other and open up little by little all the while they're friendships are developing. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. I had the ARC audiobook as well as the book and switched between reading and listening. Both were fabulous!

The book blurb states: 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵.
While that is true, it’s even more juicy than that!
Three women: all have what seems to be good marriages, nice families, and their kids go to an uppity private school. When they bond over a discovered school scandal, slowly it is revealed that each one of them is hiding their own secret.
I loved how this was a bit of a mystery mixed in with a lot of drama and solid female friendships. It has marital troubles, parenting issues, domestic abuse, and, of course, scandal. This kept me on my toes! I loved these ladies and the friendship they developed, genuinely looking out for one another.
The writing was sharp and clever, and the pacing never let up; something was always happening around every corner.
It was both exciting and emotional at times. I highly recommend you grab this one.
Thank you @suzyapprovedbooktours and @caitlinrweaver for a spot on tour and a gifted book.
Thank you @dreamscape_media for the gifted audiobook.

Things We Never Say slowly builds suspense from chapter one til the end! Slowly and surely, you come to like the unlikeliest of characters, as the book unravels each character, their secrets, and their desires. Together, the women come together to uncover secrets so deep, they may be unknowingly involved. I absolutely loved this story! I’m a sucker for unintentional friendship that come together for a greater good!!
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC!

Just like the actual book the narrators were great! They kept me engrossed and tangled into this eye opening book.

This was a good book. I really enjoyed watching all of these secrets unravel through a friendship that almost accidentally came together. The characters were real and so were their problems. Great book! I enjoyed the narrator in the audio book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ALC.
I thought that overall, this book was a decent thriller. I didn't love it, but at the same time, I also didn't hate it. I just thought that some parts of the story were a little mediocre, and this audiobook didn't keep me as entertained as some thriller audiobooks do. I did not hate this book though. And as always, I thought Jesse Vilinsky did an excellent job with her narration.
As I do sometimes with books I find to be just so-s0, I will most likely pick up this audiobook again at later date, when I am hopefully in a better headspace to completely enjoy this novel.
Thanks again to NetGalley and the publisher for the ALC.

A typical Domestic suspense. We have four accidental mom friends, that are hiding secrets of their own, and are scared to talk about them get themselves into an investigation of a school cheating scheme. Someone is collecting a lot of money for grades, and they have to uncover that person. The problem is, more than one of the friends has personal involvement in this scandal.
In the beginning I thought it was quite slow, and serious girl drama that isn't going anywhere. I hate when female characters tend to not stand up for themselves, and it was like that in the book for way too long. I thought that a lot of issues could have been solves a lot earlier just by having those hard conversations and not ignoring the signs. But that is life - we do not want to get involved in others' issues. There were certain parts that I felt were being ignored just for the plot, like the boss not noticing certain things with Anna. Daughter knowing but not saying anything. It just didn't feel like that is how their characters would act.
Overall it was just OK. A quick listen, a twisty one at that, weaving all those issues kind of together, but not something memorable, Maybe I'm just growing out of Domestic Suspense.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for my ALC. All opinions are my own.
