I found the information in this book interesting and pretty easy to understand as someone who's dabbled in options trading. It didn't have a lot of fluff, but did have some repetitive sentences.
I wish the book had mentioned you have to do this in a margin account. I suspected pretty early on, but it never explicitly says this, or discusses what a margin account means risk-wise.
I also did not understand where the $1000 figure was coming from. Until just now writing this review and thinking it out further. Wait, I think I have it. So 30 points under and then 10 points under is the 10 points times 100? That makes sense, actually. I wish it had been explained a little more explicitly. (I also had to DuckDuckGo what 'points' meant in this context as that is not explained either.)
What mostly prompted me to leave this review is there's a QR code linking to a YT video at the back of the book. The author of the book had my trust as I was reading the book, until he veered into trusting ChatGPT a little too much at the end. However, once I launched the video and heard the AI voice, I was turned off. Why would you erode your trust like that? If you don't want to record the audio yourself, at least hire a human voice actor to do it. The other promotional videos on the channel also have a 'hellno' sort of vibe to them.
So, sure, read the book, but maybe think long and hard before actually implementing the strategy in it. The minimum required is at the edge of where I can comfortably risk, and I'm also hesitant to open a margin trading account. If you don't know options trading at all, I do recommend you do what the author suggests, which is to read Options Trading for Dummies first.
